Worse meal i have ever eaten there!
Sliced bread..hardly toasted, grilled chicken was so thick. No flavour, wasnt even grilled looked poached, 3 little pieces of lettuce, egg was over cooked. Disgusting. My kids fish didnt come out like the picture..more like chicken nugget sizes. Waste of money.

Whilst I preface this review with the fact that the food was great, the rest of the experience was not!
Slow service, outright rude staff, and an overall attitude that I as the customer was inconveniencing their day.... very disappointing.

What a lovely meal. It's a typical pub or hotel in Australia. Good value, tasty and wholesome service. About to leave Melbourne for good and it was a worthy last meal.

We’ve had a couple of meals here recently and thoroughly enjoyed it every time. We’ve had some really delightful soups, most recently the potato, bacon and cheese soup 😋 Roast of the day (lamb) was very tasty with lots of vegetables and the chicken mignon was very delicious. We’ll be back here again soon to try some more 😊

We stayed at keysie for a work trip. Rooms were neat and tidy. The bar/ restraunt venue was excellent! 2 massive outdoor areas 1 was smoking and 1 non smoking. Bug inside sportsbar with screens and memorabilia aplenty. Large pokies area and food from restraunt was awesome. Mixed grill was huge. Couldn't finish it all but really really delicious food. Would go there again for work trips or a night out for sure

We dined at the Keysborough Hotel last night with our family and this was our third visit here.
Unfortunately the menu has now changed. Senior meals no longer on the menu and as small eater we found this such a waste of money and food. They now offer a 20% discount on main meals for senior card holders however the meal size is no smaller.
Two large pieces of fish on a plate with chips and salad!!!
We left one piece untouched on each of our plates!!
Go back to senior size meals at senior prices and we will gladly come back. Otherwise that’s it we will find somewhere else to dine!!

We did not have a good time here.
When we arrived, it was our first time here, we went past the check in point and there was a wait to be seated sign right across the bar. That's what we did, waited. There was a male employee behind the bar looking at us and I said 'hi', but he didn't say anything he just kept starring at us. He then moved over a bit in front of a screen and I thought oh finally he is looking up a table for us (mind you there was only about 3 tables occupied so it was very empty). But after fiddling around behind the screen and continuing to look at us he just walked away into the room acting as if he was doing stuff around the empty tables. So we were just left standing there for minutes until we decided to just go for a table as no one bothered to attend to us which already annoyed me. On our way across the room we crossed ways with a female employee coming from the kitchen I think and she finally showed us to a table after I explained that we had been waiting at the sign and been ignored by another employee.
My partner placed the order online through the QR Code or something and we waited. Enough time passed for us to be wondering where our drinks were. My partner went up to the bar asking that if we order online, if we get the drinks brought to the table or have to pick them up. He was assured they will be brought over shortly. More time passed and still nothing, he went up again and was told again they will be made shortly. We had 1 beer and 2 cocktails, the bar was not busy at all. Finally after ages we got our drinks, in the mean time our food already arrived before the drinks did
The food looked delicious. We had garlic bread which was yummy and the slow cooked pie and the steak sandwich.
This is where it started to go even more downhill. The pie was dry and hard, the meat filling was anything but soft like you would expect slow cooked meat to be. The gravy, I couldn't eat. I don't know what was wrong with it but it was awful. It tasted like beer, intensely. The relish was also weird, couldn't eat it. It tasted like cinnamon??? It was so bizarre, worst gravy and relish I ever tasted. Made my partner taste it too in case my taste was off but he also hated it. The onion rings were not awful but the batter was definitely undercooked. The only thing I enjoyed was the mash. It seemed like a rushed meal, like someone couldnt be bothered putting effort into it that night.
I usually never have leftovers because I'm very particular about not having food go to waste but I simply couldn't eat half of it because of its taste.
His steak sandwich was overall better than my meal, but he (a big steak enthusiast) was not the biggest fan either. Steak itself, the seasoning and cooking, wasn't great he said.
Our 2 cocktails were very different too. Mine was super strong with an overpowering alcohol taste and his tasted like they forgot the alcohol completely.
In the end we were still left hungry due to not finishing our unpleasant meals and we wanted to leave as quick as possible.
The food wasn't good but the customer service was definitely worse, did not appreciate that at all.
At this point, we will not be back and not recommending this place to anyone.

Was such great food, yet the timing it came out wasn't the best.

One person came late and ordered later.
4 people got their meals, they nearly finished and over 10 mins later, 2 more meals came out, which had been ordered later, then the other 2, of which 1 was a salad, identical as 2 others, but with feta, and it was 30 mins longer 🤔
Food was amazing though, and so worth the wait

Very disappointing, this place is used to be our favourite lunch and dinner restaurant. We have noticed recently that the place in general started to go south. The restaurant food quality has deteriorated dramatically, and the menu hasn't changed, but the quality of the food the plate services size is noticeably negatively changed. The management appears to be not interested in altering the negative path. They are definitely undermining the senior's mental integrity. In general, the place, in my opinion, lost its position in our favourite restaurant listing. Just to be specific, we ordered normal std chicken schnitzel , what we got completely something we can't call food for human consumption, the size suitable for children, the chips made and cooked in very in very poor quality. Then the sweet service quality was very bad, very dry and old. Then the coffee definitely made by someone never used the coffee makings equipment before. Obviously, they mixed between us and the free supplied coffee in the gaming area. In the end, it's sadly revealing our true opinions and feelings on the place. I should mention the management at the has been notified of our concerns and offered us partial bill cost ???. We hope the management reconsider and address the issues we raised. Finally, we will visit the place again and report back of any positive or negative changes. Very disappointed customers.

The staff were so friendly, the food was delicious, price was very reasonable, the ambience etc....Food was very slow and even drinks had to wait for more than 15 minutes.

Shared a lovely lunch from menu with a friend. Great to see plenty of people using the restaurant. Food was really good my husband had a seniors Parmagama meal and myself Calamari Meal.All guests were very impressed with meals

pixie in the bar was a friendly and also she has the cutest name i’ve ever heard. les on security is a great guy, felt very safe the entire time. come here for pokies or drinks or a meal !! can’t recommend highly enough

Orded chicken keiv.
You needed a hack saw to cut through it.
No garlic butter in it.
Was very dry as it was cooked in the deep fryer.
Well over cooked.

Michelle and the other staff at the bar are absolute legends. partner and i came for a go on the pokies and they treated us so kindly and with so much respect , even going out of their way to make difficult cocktails while they were extremely busy. can’t speak highly enough of this place , our absolute favourite

Just returned from this place after our New Year's lunch. Wow absolutely wow!!! From the moment we walked in until we walked out we were amazed at the hospitality. The staff were so friendly, the food was delicious, the price was very reasonable, the ambience etc.... We simply couldn't believe that this place was just down the road from us and we haven't been here before. This is definitely on our agenda for next time. Certainly a BIG 👍🏻 up and definitely 5 stars.

Take 2. After our fantastic experience previously, we decided to visit again this time for Easter dinner. Another wow experience. We absolutely love this place. The food was fantastic and the staff here are amazingly wonderful. Was served by Michelle from beginning to end and she was so friendly and always with a warm smile.

I went for dinner yesterday and the Ceasar Salad was horrible! There were more Crutons and bacon and very little Lettuce leaves.

I pre booked for a family gathering
We all arrived within minutes of each other. The Bistro was not busy. 9 of our meals came in bursts, steak meals were average.
But 2 fish and chip meals did not arrive, even after an enquiry as to how long 🙄, we were then told on 2nd enquiry that they were forgotten. The garlic bread that was with the last order just did not come.
We had to provide proof of order for a refund.
There was no excuse, as there were heaps of empty tables.
I was very disappointed 😞 having moved to the country and The Keysborough Hotel was one of my favourite hotels, when we lived in Noble Park for 54 years.

Had my son's 18th there which was really awesome. Great food, service and atmosphere. Highly recommended for small group party events.

Food good but no senior meals. There is 20% off that is no good. Who needs an oversize meal rather pay for a senior set menu

Dinner with family in the Bistro before we head back to Perth tomorrow. Though we booked ahead it was not very busy so we were attended to quickly by the friendly staff and seated. We were given physical menus but we were able to order from the table with a QR code and seeing as there were 8 of us we found this easier to make sure we didn't forget anything. Prices were as expected for a pub bistro. After ordering and paying, the meals arrived quite quickly and were reasonably sized. There are several TV screens around the bistro showing sport and a kids playground as well. The only thing that was disappointing for me was there was no alcoholic ginger beer but other than that it was a great experience. We did not partake in the pokies.

Reason. Order was made via scan. I was presented with wrong order that contained egg
Which I’m allergic too. I was asked if I have a copy of receipt. I fortunately did and showed them that my order was indeed wrong. They for the second time tried putting the plate on my table. I told them to take it back (in sum unpleasant words) I was given a refund for my meal but dinner with friends was ruined. They were not happy with quality or service also. The chairs in the venue where also unstable and table had previous food crumbs remaining on it
