What a great experience in an authentic Irish pub. Not that I would know but thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Staff were friendly even though I was denied my jug of kraken and Koke. The food such good value. A scotch fillet cooked exactly to our liking, medium. Bigger than expected and flavoursome. The beer battered chips crunchy and delicious. Give these guy's a try you will not be disappointed.

Went there for a quick bite and a beer with my friend. Really good chips. They don't do schooners or accept cash payment. Great place to go eat and drink. I went just on dark and sat outside it was quite nice. The view is only of the "town square" of civic but with the nights at light its pretty nice. Overall would recommend.

We have been in Australia since December and have ate at numerous places nearly every day and we both said this was probably in the top 3 of the best food we've had since we've been here. The pub is great. And the outside garden is well sheltered if you don't want the sun on you.

Upset when the barman wanted me to quickly tap to pay. Until I realised he was trying to charge me $25 for a pint of Guinness. He put on his system 2 beers and gave me one. Might be cool in Ireland, but not nice here.

This is purely a review of the steak and Guiness pie... it was terrible. It appeared to be a bowl of packet gravy with a piece of carrot, a piece of celery and two tiny pieces of steak. I highly doubt there was any Guinness in it. It's almost false advertising to call it steak and Guiness pie. Apart from the pie the place seemed nice, but definitely avoid the pie.

The star of the show at O'Malley's is undoubtedly their Guinness stout on tap. Poured to perfection, it was rich, creamy, and smooth, exactly how a good Guinness should be. The pint had the perfect balance of roasted malt flavors and a slightly bitter finish, making it an absolute pleasure to drink. For any stout enthusiast, this is as good as it gets outside of Dublin. Complementing the excellent beer is their delectable Guinness pie. This hearty dish was a perfect blend of tender beef, savory gravy, and a hint of Guinness, all encased in a golden, flaky crust. Each bite was a comforting taste of Ireland, with the rich flavors melding together beautifully. The portion size was generous, ensuring a satisfying meal that pairs perfectly with a pint of Guinness. In summary, O'Malley's Irish Pub is a fantastic spot for anyone looking to enjoy an authentic Irish experience. The exceptional Guinness stout on tap and the mouthwatering Guinness pie are must-tries.

The place is only good for drinks..do not come for food. We asked for medium rare steak and got rare and chewy meat. We got our order in 5-7 minutes which is not possible for a steak..really disappointed..

So the food was ok, and the venue looks lovely. They only had EFTPOS, and refused to take cash. Very didappointing as not everyone wants to pay with card!

Sadly not what we had expected. Schnitzel and parma were disappointing, the salad had no life - no fresh or crisp, just limp. Edible yes although not something we’d order again. Drinks were fine. Service at counter was fun and friendly, when food was delivered it was plonked on our table. Evening wasn’t busy at all. Anyway it was just ok.

Popped in for dinner while staying in Canberra, had a lovely atmosphere when we walked in, large array of seating available inside and also outside, a very cosy pub vibe! Food was absolutely fantastic and well worth the money! Highly recommend for a great value meal!

My recent experience at Kingos was work drinks and lunch. It's a good place to have drinks; but when it comes to food, not so much. I had the schnitty and tasted ordinary. The previous visit was dinner and we ordered pizzas and wings; it was also okay. We had two table numbers on ours and when they delivered the first order, they mistakenly took away the wrong number. I was waiting in the queue for drinks and when I came back, I saw the man trying to find which table had the order. It was my order, so I approached him and told him nicely that it's my order. He didn't seem impressed that he needed to walk around & "be confused" about it while he's the one taking the wrong table number. Other than that, I also appreciate the safety pamphlets they put up in the ladies room.

My favourite place when visiting Canberra. I went here in 2003, 2007, now 2023. While the outside has changed dramatically, inside is still much the same. Cosy, friendly and charming.

Mostly good food except a rotten chip in my daughter's meal. My husband thought the beef burger was very commercial tasting but I liked the relish. The buffalo wings were fine. The parmigiana was good. The atmosphere was great for St Patrick's Day. I tried to book a table a couple of weeks in advance via email when I couldn't get through on phone, and never heard back, so don't expect great communication. Floor was very sticky inside. Bathrooms were clean. The Guiness was cold and the O'Malleys by Bentspoke was fruity and great.

I had a dinner there with my friends to celebrate one’s brithday and we did have a great experience. This was such an impressive Irish pub with authentic food, fresh beers, live music and signature decoration. I pretty like the fish and chips and the pizzas. Fast service and friendly staff. Appreciate it !

Have absolutely Nothing positive to say about this place. From the time we walked in I thought the ambience was great but, that's were it ended. The service was non existant couldn't get the drink order right for starters. The 3 of us all ordered the Steak ... medium to well done. We got them in record time only to cut into a raw slab, one was even full of gristle! Half the chips were covered in blood oozing from the steaks even the pizza we ordered wasnt cooked properly. Asked for no pineapple on the pizza and guess what? We got Pineapple. We all left hungry and p*ssed off! Pointless arguing as the customer service was appalling so, I'll let my review do the talking!! NOTE TO THE CHEF: Learn how to cook a Steak!!!

Great Guinness. Excellent Irish setting. Good options for food. Lots of different areas to sit and eat and enjoy excellent food and drink. Stand out atmosphere. They had live Irish music. The atmosphere was relaxing and enjoyable. The staff are friendly and helpful. One of the iconic pubs of Canberra. Well worth a visit.

Fun restaurant with very friendly staff with great decor for a Pub. Wood sticky tables and mostly stools for seats. Both of us had the ribeye steak 🥩 and both thought the steaks were just ok, lots of gristle and not super flavorful.

Enjoyed a glass or two or three of hot cider/& hot mulled wine whilst our stay in Canberra. Loved the aesthetics of this Irish pub. What a better way to warm up in the cold. Enjoyed a snack of hot chips with mayo , loved it! Thanks!

Did Visit In the quiet start to a week so there were plenty of tables to sit to enjoy a freshly pulled pint of Guinness the travellers companion, the venue is good but staff could be a little more cheerful.

Classic pub in a good location, plenty of variety on the menu .... On a good day it's worth sitting outside 😉 pub is nostalgic and plenty of artifacs for those that are interested. It's worth a visit just for the historical trip but a good experience overall. (Note the cheeky birds)

Been going here for years but haven’t been for sometime. Went for lunch on a cold arvo. Had the chicken schnitzel. It was really greasy and the chips served with it were worse. It was very average and unappealing. Had a decent wine but at $16 for a small glass it was not worth the money. Overall, overpriced and very average food .So many more eating places in the area now that I wouldn’t recommend it nor go back. Give it a miss and try some of the other locals.

An Irish themed pub/bar in the commercial center of Canberra. Located on a pedestrian only street with outdoor and extensive indoor seating. In addition to beer and wine there is a small menu of pub classic meals. Meals are simple but well cooked for a reasonable price.
