We were asking around town where we could get the best pub steak.
Kings Hotel came up over and over.
We arrived on a Monday night expecting it to be quiet.
It was packed. There was a kids birthday party with around 30 people so it was super noisy.
The parents didn’t supervise their kids so they ran around the restaurant.
The food was outstanding, well cooked and considering the amount of people there, did not take long to arrive.
Unfortunately we couldn't stand the noise and kids constantly moving around the tables.
We took out desserts home.
Overall it was a great eating experience, however, next time we will sit in the pub.

We turned up on a Saturday night with a group of 10. We had no problems finding a table even though the pub was very busy. ||The meals were all delicious. Everyone ordered a different meal and not one person said it wasn't a really good meal. Good sized plates of tasty food.||Great pub food at a great price.

Very nice pub, would definitely stay there again. Our room was clean and quiet, despite the pub being really busy that night :) the staff members were all super lovely and would also highly recommend to eat there as the food was amazing!!! We had the potato and leek soup from the speciala and then the Surf&Turf with Cajun butter.

Very disappointed. I ordered a Kings burger and it was stone cold. Lovely staff apologised and it then took an age for an only just better burger to arrive. Funny, the chips were properly cooked the second time around.
It is sad that the wonderful staff are so let down by the poor effort with the food. It will be a big effort to go back when there are so many other great options.

The service was amazing, the staff are extremely attentive to customer satisfaction with the beautiful food. The menu had a wide tantalising range, quite hard to choose cause it all looked amazing. Great food, service and a warm friendly atmosphere

The Kings Table today, Mother's Day. I had Wicked Salad. It was amazing. Salad so fresh! I really enjoyed it.
My partner had Grilled Barramundi with sides of salad & chips. He totally enjoyed his meal too.
I would highly recommend the Kings Table to everyone.

steak not cooked properly sent 2 meals back staff wanted to say that’s how it should be medium is not bleeding steak sandwich shouldn’t be raw in the centre bit pink sure but clod raw in the centre small sizes ruined a family night out don’t waste your time

So on Saturday 6th March I wasn’t in the mood for cooking but really felt like a steak.
Decided to go to The Kings Hotel(1st time) and thoroughly enjoyed it.
I ordered Surf & Turf which came with a Balmain Bug, the steak was cooked perfectly, charred on the outside and beautifully pink and moist, the mash was silky and well seasoned. Sorry I didn’t get a photo.
The staff were really welcoming and friendly l, especially Shel, she was delightful and funny.
I’ll be going back for sure to try the other GF menu items.

Pub is great!
The food however has slowly be declining in quality but increasing in price. May I suggest a daily special like a $15 schnitzel or burger. Even a new menu. There is many options around town that present more value for money.
I would hate to see this place go any further down hill!

Poor Service. Extremely disappointed. After gaining a recommendation from a local, we ordered the sticky date dessert (it was great) for the advertised price of $12. When paying we were charged $14 each. When questioning the staff member stated ‘ the manager hasn’t updated the board’ and then proceeded to ignore us as if it was a joke. Although nice dessert, service was poor and extremely disappointing.

Poorest service ever received. When we ordered no one mentioned about waiting long for food to be ready. After 30minutes of wait when we checked , staff mentioned wait times are 45 minutes today and our food will be ready in 10minutes. And they kept on saying food will be ready in next 10, next 5mins. Even after 1 hr there was no food and still waiting. We got delayed for our our next plans and had to cancel our order and leave after 1 hour wait for nothing. Really disappointed.

Pit stop on the way back from Dubbo. Excellent food, service and atmosphere! Despite being a party of 10, nothing was short of excellent. Wife and me shared surf n turf as well as a Guinness pie...both were great!

Passing through town .. I ordered dinner from kings table hotel restaurant, the bar area had about 6 tables with guests, the restaurant was empty. I ordered a takeaway Thai beef salad which was ready in 10 mins….. walked back to my accommodation and sat down to eat my dinner…. TO MY SHOCK THE SALAD WAS NOT FRESH - probably left over from lunch orders & the beef was chunky , not in strips AND VERY CHEWY !!!!
Very pissed off to pay for left over food.
WILL NOT RECOMMEND YOU OR RETURN

Nice looking hotel and restaurant. Salt n pepper aquid was beautiful. Nachos was OK. Dont order the Guiness Pie..it is tasteless mince . Chefs forgot one person's meal ..it arrived as everyone else finished.
Overall wait people were polite and friendly

Midday visit while have a tyre repair done. Nice atmosphere from the moment you walk through the door. Not many people here at the moment so service at the bar was instant. Changed quite a bit since I was last in here back when it had the horse shoe bar in the main area. Plenty of various seating arrangements to choose from. Small couples to large groups.

Longer than 1hr wait for food. Staffs kept saying 5 mins 10 mins. But nothing came and had to cancel order and leave after 1hr wait

I have been to a fair share of pubs, however, my experience at the Kings Hotel is a memorable one. Every single person working here was incredibly friendly and so full of joy. I ordered the grilled fish with veg and mash and it was fantastic. The fish was cooked to perfection without that greasy ocean taste, the veggies chosen were a great match for the dish. The two ladies who were working in the bistro area were so kind, it really enhanced the experience! It also is on the quieter side without any loud music. Would 100% recommend this place for friends, families, or even dates!

Had a good pub lunch here. The schnitzel was excellent. Garlic bread is worth a pass. Friendly staff. Interior could use a coat of paint etc, but had a nice atmosphere and would visit again.

Fantastic pub food, the grilled barramundi was nice and soft but didn’t disintegrate on contact with the cutlery. There are a great selection of beers on tap, and the staff were very friendly and hospitable. The atmosphere in the pub is very nice and family friendly.

Don't get the 400gm King's T-bone. Undeclared chilli on prawns. More than half the steak was gristle. Won't be back

Dinner tonight at the Kings was great!
Not only was the steak cooked the way I liked the salad and chips were great.
Not to mention the customer service was 10/10.

Amazing team very polite and respectful. I return my steak as it was not cooked the way i requested. They change the whole set and offered dessert. Did not get that dessert because we are already full. Good food. Good service.

A little disappointed with a quick wedges and sour cream. Wedges were to overcooked making them hard to eat. Had to leave some behind and as a rule, I never leave potato behind. Coffee machine not working. Although it was very clean and staff lovely.

Absolutely amazing service and food. We had oysters kilpatrick and Thai spring rolls as entrees, mains we had Chicken, avocado and creamy Prawns and seafood plate. It was all very fresh and not over cooked. After a few drinks we decided to have dessert and was not disappointed with the blackberry cheesecake and brownie sundae. Have found our new favourite pub in Bathurst for our next visit.
