Went to karaoke for the 1st time. A fight began between 2 men, now this I don't understand 1 got kicked out but the other man got to come back in as it seemed he was known to the staff. I found this very unbelievable as this male was trying to kung foo fight with his legs and threw a punch, in my opinion he to should have been escorted from the premises but instead the lady behind the bar replaced his beer that was lost due to the fight. Very disappointing :(
Not sure if I will ever return?

Went here on a quiet day, but staff were great. Ordered a Steak (tenderloin) and it was PERFECT.

Went for a last minute dinner, and boy we wish we didn't choose the Kingsford. Hadn't eaten there for quite some time and the food used to be ok. But things have changed, had the worst fish and chips, the batter thick, cakey and over cooked, limp salad and passable chips...everything chucked on the plate without any care...all tasted blah...hubbys schnitty...blah...come on guys get you act together, I know alot if people do the stonegrill so the "chefs" dont need many skills there but you certainly need to step up on the "real" cooking....no idea at all.
Wont be back !!

Very welcoming and friendly staff. Delicious meal served to us upstairs on the balcony. The stone grill is an experience.

Unfortunately it took and hour and a half to get our meals. When we did get them they were quite disappointing. I personally had hot steak with cold turf and turf topping. My steak was teeny tiny and not worth the money. The only person who liked their meal had a stone grill so technically cooked it herself.
On the upside, the cocktails were BOMB and the bar and wait staff were lovely and apologetic.
Won't be back though.

The Kingsford hotel was a great place to stop on a hot day for a nice cold beer and stone grilled steak! The inside has lost a bit of its historic feel, but was still lovely with its stain glass windows.

Stopped for a bite to eat after a fairly busy day geocaching.decided we wanted something light (1 prawn and mango salad and1 prawn tikka masala). Both excellent. Service was friendly, fast and efficient. Great place for ambiance too.

Steaks are good and a nice cut of meat, but frozen veggies let the whole meal down, you cook the steak yourself on the volcanic rock and pay a premium so why can't you up the veggie game?
Have had good service previously this time one lady was good the other not so much.
Atmosphere was ok, toilets were dirty.
Wouldn't take much to bring the meals up to scratch the biggest let down is the vegetables, corn included its like they get the frozen packs from woolies... but even then they taste better. Pretty sure the chips/ wedges are a frozen item too.
S&P squid pieces are way too large to be crunchy, decent flavour but go soggy cos of the massive size.
Surf and turf sauce is nice with decent size prawns.
Will edit review if something changes but will more than likely pick elsewhere to go with the family so no promises. Spent $400 plus here perhaps too many times.
They do, do a good schnitzel tho have no complaints on that and the size is very good.

Starters were ok the satay chicken skewers seemed quite bland and the chicken looked like it was steamed but the pork belly and steamed beef rolls were nice.
I found my beef fillet & mushroom gravy main with chips and veg was nice but the steak size was on the small size for what was charged.
Overall a nice place to dine with family and friends.

Nice front bar & TAB. Staff are great. Drink specials like other pubs would be great. Chicken schnitzel was burnt all around the outside, needed more cheese & tomato. I definitely wouldn't recommend eating the chicken schnitzel parmigiana.

My family and I arrived 10mins before the kitchen closed and the staff were more than happy to seat us, the food came out promptly and was very tasty, the staff were all friendly and polite, next time I go I'll be eager to try the stone grilled options they have available! :)

Lovely service, amazing staff members who were all very sweet. The food was okay, the schnitzels were amazing but the peri peri chicken was just not good. I reccomend this place for their drinks and traditional meals but if you are fussy ask the staff what they like. ❤️

Is our local - but great for locals or visitors for lunch or dinner. Great menu options catering for all !! Check.out thier website and specials - Stone grill is a must !! even for vegetarians 👏👏👏 Lovely inside restaurant- balcony tables for smaller groups and a HUGE outside eating area !!! Something for everyone !! 🤩😃 Enjoy

I ordered the stuffed sweet potato for $27. Partially because of some current dietary requirements, but it also sounded nice. What arrived was an entree sized meal, half a potato, two cherry tomatoes, about 10 black beans, wilted leaves and no flavour. $27 bucks. What a joke!!

Had the Chicken Schnitzel Surf and Turf with mushroom gravy for chips and I wasn't disappointed. Would definitely go back again.

For our Entree we shared a plate of Asian Pork Belly Bites, this is a tasty dish but it would of been an outstanding dish if the skin wasn't so soft, it should be a crackle. We did mention this to staff to pass onto the chef when they cleared our plates. The main I had Grilled fish chips & salad, I think the fish really needed to have more seasoning, even hubby a chef said it needed more seasoning on it as it tasted very plain, I didnt like the green salad dressing so I have to remember to tell them no dressing in future. Hubby had the Surf & Turf, he ordered the eye fillet rare but it came out more a medium but he said it was still edible. The place has very friendly staff & with this cold weather we're having the fireplace on created a lovely warm cosy room to enjoy your dining experience

Forgot to take a photo before we sent back my son's cheeseburger which was RAW in the middle.
Staff were apologetic and organised a replacement.
Aircon filter above our table is filthy with dust. Ceiling fans coated in dust aswell, glad they weren't on.
Won't be back.

First time here, meals took forever to come out but you could see they were under staffed so not an issue. Got asked if we wanted bread, we said yes he never came back hahahahahaa... Food was great no issues....

Fantastic service.
Awesome chicken snitty.
My mother enjoyed the pork roast.
The dressing on the salad was super yummy too.
The veg where alittle undercooked and the mushroom gravy just tasted like plain gravy.

Beautiful food... great service. Comparable and fair prices. Trivia nights are fun but usually pretty noisy.

A pleasant surprise. The staff were very friendly, attentive and courteous. The schnitzel were cooked well, generous and moist.

A new discovery for me.First time at the Kingsford ,and I'll most certainly be going back.Staff extremely happy, and efficient. Lovely atmosphere. As a member of Gawler and Barossa J Club one free beverage.Lovely to see businesses supporting each other in the community. Great ambience. My fish was a little crispy, but the calamari, garlic prawns were exceptional. Chips were crispy on outer and smooth and creamy centre. Lovely time had by all

A great place. The food is amazing. The staff are great and friendly. Specials on food daily and happy hour from 2 pm 🕑 to 6 pm. 🕕 highly recommended this place for food and drinks

Absolutely fabulous evening celebrating a birthday at the Kingsford.$30 stonegrill went down a treat, priceless look on my 92 year old Mum's face when a raw scotch fillet steak was put in front of her but she ended up thoroughly enjoying it. Staff were wonderful refrigerating the birthday cake & then supplying a knife & plates to serve. Great Tuesday night at the Kingsford.
