We've enjoyed our meal today. The staff were friendly and awsome serves. Everytime any of the staffs walked pass they always remove empty plates from out table. Kids meal been serve first and the food were delicious.
Only thing we recommend is a sailor or any sorts of shade over the kids play ground.
We will be back again.👍

Went in for a celebration dinner and the wait staff and bar were very pleasant as far as customer experience goes. Ordered the eye filler with salad and chips. The steak was cooked right however the chips tasted like they were soggy from an oven bake or microwaved so they were not pleasant.

Very disappointing. Went for St Paddy's Day. Thought there would be more Irish music. Dancers were good though. Staff behind bar were not very friendly. Asked for icecream was told in "no uncertain terms" they did not have icecream. Found this strange for a pub/tavern. Needed more Irish food on menu seeing it was St Paddy's Day.

Such a great place to grab a bite to eat - especially with the kids! Food is yummy - they even have plenty of gluten free (gf) options. Staff are so lovely. They are really thoughtful too and even brought out activities for the kids to keep them entertained.
The kids area is also a bonus and the live music is always on point. Keep up the great work team!

Stopped in for a bevy between stops and was in awe of how beautiful the establishment was and how set up it is. But no crowd? That dumbfounded me. Gorgeous venue.

Service and food are pretty solid and priced fairly. I had the Cesar salad and it was by far the best one I’ve had in a long while. Would have loved the option to add chicken but oh well, it’s not a deal breaker. Face painting and and crafts on Sunday for the kids with live music for the adults. Will definitely be back.

Restaurant empty, ordered lamb special, advised then it was pork. Changed order to chicken which arrived raw. Very disappointed with the management reaction.. unsurprised.. almost resigned.. and provided a refund for the main meal.

Our first visit to Koala Tavern was to experience the Kids Day Out they held on a recent Sunday. We enjoyed a lovely meal before the activities. Good variety of meals, and lots of gluten free options which was a welcome surprise. All the staff we encountered were absolutely lovely and more than happy to help. The wildlife show, face painting and balloon animals were a huge hit with the kids (as well as many of us adults 😄). The singer outside in the beer garden was great as well. Very impressed with our visit, so much so that we will return despite the tavern not being our local.

Not the slightest hesitation giving this place top marks and they weren't even trying! The entertainment was 2 seperate live musicians playing,decor is vibrant,colourful and trendy,even toilets were spotless!
We visited on a Friday nite and their Jag the Joker comp was a hoot.
It's always fun when a couple of Grand's on offer cos the whole bar tends to pay attention and join in!
Sadly some of the staff seemed inexperienced,but weren't we all,once?
And the parking experience was congested and dangerous,as always here.Overall good spot though.

Lovely venue for a wedding party. Live music in the background. Gas heaters and awesome staff. Clean and very well presented. Big shout to sandy who went above and beyond Thanks guys

Lovely food, we went there for my son’s birthday dinner. The staff even placed balloons on the table. Great service, the food was reasonably priced as well.

I ordered a medium to well steak. When the meal got to us my salad was swimming in the liquid from my steak. I did use my napkin to soak it up. The waitresses did send the meal back. My partner said his meal was very average. The bar staff weren't really interested in serving. I also didn't appreciate the setting up of the breakfast tables while we were eating. You go to dinner to enjoy and relax but we were sitting right infront where they were setting up the breakfast buffet. Maybe if the chef wasn't setting up breakfast tables, maybe my steak might have been cooked properly. We did attend again but just for drinks, hmmm bar service was once again poor.

Hi, reason for my review today is I wanted to say thanks to the young man Austin who served us on Monday night. We don't go out much these days as service is usually crap and staff clearly don’t want to be there.
This was our first visit to this hotel. Austin was a young bloke, likely new in the industry. What he may have lacked in experience he made up for in attitude. Austin made us feel welcome and seemed like he genuinely wanted to answer any question we had and was very genuine and apologetic when we ordered something out of stock. His service was appreciated throughout the evening, thanks Austin. Just doing your job can go along way when others don’t.

Have been to see live music here & also have dinner a few times. The food has always been quite good. Service is good & there have been only ever short wait times. There's been some good bands that play here regularly, but quite often playing to a near empty room, unfortunately, because the sound & room are both great. There's so much promise here. Ticketed events generally do really well, however. It's located in a pretty good spot & the amenities & outside areas are really good.

Had a wedding reception in the outside area. Sandy was amazing in setting up the area and attending to all our needs. Fantastic venue and wonderful staff. Beautiful music playing and outside heaters creating the perfect atmosphere for the reception.

Great place however I won't return.
The cheapest bottle of wine was $38.
This hotel is attached to the First Choice Bottle Shop.
I am a Chardonnay drinker, there were only 2 choices, both bottles around $50.
They could have a few house wines, no reason why they can't have one for $15 to $20.
It's a great place but they need to think about realistic pricing

Great food, food can be a little pricey though. Great for kids as there is a nice playground to keep kids occupied. outdoor could use some fans on the hot days as no breeze comes through the beer garden. The times we have been the atmosphere has been very quiet. Overall not a bad place to visit, the new works look really good.

Great food, don’t know why there are any bad reviews to be honest. My roast had a lot of peppercorns which was a bit too spicy for myself and my daughter. I let the staff know and they were happy to replace the meal with something else. The roast looked lovely but the peppercorns were an unmentioned surprise. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Everyone else’s meals were great.

Great experience through and through. We loved it. Kids friendly, delicious food, friendly staff, and live music at the right volume, so diners can enjoy over a great meal, while kids and music play. Will certainly come again! Totally recommended!

Friendly staff and atmosphere. Under cooked sloppy risotto with a poor disgusting texture. Rice didn't soak in any moisture and not served in any stack of goodness. Calamari was a fair paid entree. No refund offered for a $25 dish, however offered another Calamari as a gesture. Full and returned as not required. Cheers

Food was ok for pub menu. Atmosphere, whilst clean and modern, lacked a bit. It's probably ideal for families who want room to spread out. Beer garden was nice. Staff friendly. Basically, all up, what you'd expect for a tavern in Capalaba.

Been here lots. staff are great big shout out to Brandie, John & Ben. These guys make coming here that much more enjoyable. Food has really stepped up. Very impressed with the New kitchen staff.

Absolutely wonderful experience here for lunch. I had booked lunch for my dad’s 65th birthday for around 25 guests. Unfortunately only around 15 made it but was nice to have the room. When I arrived I noticed a long row of tables set up so I assumed they were for us. I went to the bathroom and came back and they had put 3 lots of balloons on the tables. I went over and asked if these tables were for my booking and she said yes. I thanked her for doing the balloons. I then said I had a cake and she asked if I wanted her to put it in the fridge and when we were ready they could bring plates and a knife out.. I said yes please. The service throughout the lunch was just outstanding by our waitress Angie who I can not praise enough for being so friendly and thoughtful for my dad’s birthday even offering him a free drink. I really hope Angie can get recognition for her fabulous service. She really made our experience great from start to finish and we will definitely book again.

$8 for a 330ml bottle of non-alcoholic beer.
Decent meals, but they're expensive for what they are.
Wouldn't rush back at these prices...
