We used to come here a lot before, used to get good service but today i really had a bad experience with one of the lady, we got charged for the soft drinks and also she was really rude. Girl you really need to improve your customer handling skills rather than showing your attitude and fake smile. Thankss small advice for you yayyyy❤️🫰🏻

The overcooked recently thawed steak came covered in chimichurri which wasn't advertised but seemed to conflict with my chosen Mushroom Sauce. Pops satay beef was apparently very tough. We walked out and went home. 2 star service because the barkeep had the decency to follow us and offer a refund. Next time bring cash and we will accept, but it wasn't worth the walk back. Thanks.

The food is terrible!
Tried the food twice, never again!
The first time I ordered a Thai beef salad and the meat was so tough my jaw nearly broke and it had enough chilli to kill an army.
The second time I tried the wedges and they were full of oil. Something went wrong with the frying process... About an hour later I felt so sick that I vomited.
The food isn't cheap either.

The 2nd floor is always weirdly empty every time we come. The food is always really good and the staff are really considerate. (They even brought us extra napkins and a bowl for the mussels I ordered!).
The mussels and garlic bread are surprisingly good too. It was the special for the day.

Terrible experience. We order one SPICY fried rice but they serve with very salty fried rice, we couldn't have it. Then they change another fried rice with very sweet and no spicy at all. So we ask to change with the spicy one. After ten minutes, we did not get our food so we tried to talk to the chef if they don’t want to serve us anymore then give us the money back because we did not have it. Well, the chef was shouting and very angry with us. End up the chef came to our table and took the picture of the face without any permission. We ask him why he took the picture, he was lying that he did not ( but there are no other customers in the restaurant only us and the camera was facing us). We were trying to get the right food which we order and it deserves the price. And we don't know what the chef will do with the pictures.
The chef said that is what Thai food it is. But we love Thai food and is the worst Thai we have ever had. The thing really makes this experience so bad is because of the customer's services. I highly recommend DO NOT go to Kogarah hotel if you don't want to ruin your day.

Takeaway closes at 11pm it says, I arrived at 10:58pm and the Bottleshop lights are off, and the automatic doors are'nt opening, looked around, walked in and was told by Manager that she had already taken the till, and it turned to 11pm by then, I mean close at 11pm, not at 1058pm, it takes a minute to make purchase with a card, seriously lazy by staff, bottleshop look like it had been closed at 1055, why advertise and waste people's time, takeaway is closed 1055pm, if your staff are lazy.

Such a great venue 😁 welcoming staff and delicious food which is great value 😁 we've eaten here quite a few times and the Tuesday steak night is perfect 👌the steaks are AWESOME and always perfectly cooked 🤤 also tried the grilled salmon which was delish as was the curried salmon salad which was on their specials. Couldn't recommend highly enough 🏆

Seems they are currently renovating, but never the less, the staff are super friendly and they have decent prices & selections on tap beer!
1x Pool table and a lot of local sharks 🦈 😉 Don't be fooled by the old-timers!
Vibe is always chilled.

Reunion kogarah high school was superb great catch up great location great food great atmosphere and group see you in 10 years !!!!!

Recommend for functions, lunch and dinner!! Amazing, quick response communication with Jim and the restaurant/bar staff, we held a baby shower there and it was all so seamless with their help. The bistro upstairs, Amici served such delicious food, it was a hit with everyone.
Thank you so much for having us again!! P.S Love how the renovations are coming along, it’s going to be such a great vibe when it’s done!

Pretty tidy little pub, if you've moved to the area or just passing through you should pop in for a game of pool with a few cold ones or just kick back and watch the footy. Cosy place. 4 🌟

My experience at the bar was less than satisfactory. The person serving me lacked professionalism and displayed rude behavior, which was quite off-putting.

Manager of this place Sarah (08.02.2024)She doesn't know the pool game rules and didn't allowed to complete the game saying we hit the table. Sometimes the ball gets out and she told us that the ball went out. Be aware of this manager. Don't come here.

It has a decent sized bar area to separate the gaming lounge and there's a pool table. The staff are really friendly and they have a bottle shop too.

I have been going to Kogarah Hotel for few years and it has been a good experience until last week. Team served an expired beer and upon noticing we were told that “if anything happens to you, please see us”. The explanation for serving an expired behaviour was illogical. They tried to justify that even after expiry it doesn’t mean that beer cannot be sold!!
I would always doubt the quality now onwards and may not visit unless there is no option.

Hi guys I came in 2 weeks ago for the Burger and Chips the Chips were very under seasoned and Chewy the Burger was super flavourless ok guys this meal I had deserves a 1 Star and a 2/10 very poor quality food look guys it’s ok but not the best I’ve ever had the Pattie was quite burnt and chewy Hopefully next time the food improves the staff were rude as well.

Great local pub, friendly staff . The bistro is hidden away from the main pub , located upstairs. The food is always really enjoyable (pork ribs, chicken wings are divine , must try their pasta - its like from one of those fancy Italian restaurant) . What i like the most of this place is, you can have a comfortable dinner and a couple of beers with friends and family (can actually talk and hear each other) , it's got a very relaxed vibe. Excellent spot as it's right across Kogarah station if don't want to drive.

Great little local pub in Kogarah, Sydney. Friendly staff, great vibe, yummy meals and cheap drinks. Very nice, smooth red wine.

Good food and outdoor sitting arrangements with great service and proximity to the station makes this an ideal place for few drinks with mates. Make sure to enjoy the sweet potato fries.

Duke's grill upstairs is fantastic. It has a great pub menu with tasty dishes. The service is great from all staff. Be sure to check out the weekly specials.

Being an older retired guy, I enjoy a glass of wine in the early afternoon when in the area. However I don't like getting strange looks from the female bar manager. Other older men are also there on their own, but don't get the same treatment. On one occasion, she stood at the bar and stared at me! To me, that's the height of rudeness.
