About Kondari Hotel
Unpretentious rooms and apartments with minifridges, plus a pool, 2 bars and a restaurant. Set beside a lagoon among tropical gardens, this down-to-earth hotel is an 11-minute walk from Hervey Bay Beach and 1.1 km from Urangan Pier. The bright, simple rooms and studio apartments provide TVs, free Wi-Fi and minifridges, as well as tea and coffeemaking facilities. Some apartments also have kitchenettes. We waited just shy of an HOUR for 2 meals. Honey orange pork with potatoes & vegetable medley - which was honestly pathetic, and a rare steak with chips & salad - which was good. To wait that long for 2 meals seems like they forgot our order. We ended up asking for it to-go as the wedding party we were with was leaving. When we got the meals we checked to make sure they were correct, we felt rushed to take them and leave by the lady who gave it to us. The drinks were great but the food service needs improvement.

We stayed for the night before our 2 day tour to K'gari.
Room were clean and tidy.
Pool was great and the water was amazing.
We also had food at the restaurant at night and it was superb!
Excellent service too, especially from Thalia.
P.S. Not very centrally located but it's a 15 min walk to main restaurants and bars.

Went for lunch today with friends.7 of us. Next table to us had at least 20 plus. One waitress for this and many more tables. Brittany was her name and she should get a raise. She did a fantastic job and she only started a month ago. There were others there that could have helped her but chose to stand around talking instead. You have a top waitress there. If you’re smart you’ll keep her.

We had dinner there last night. It was quite busy when we arrived at 7pm and we ordered straight away. Our meals took around 50mins to arrive, even though nearly everyone in the place had left. We did have a lovely chat to an elderly couple next to us and they said that they had also had a 45min wait. My meal was the Asian Noodle Salad with grilled chicken which was absolutely delicious! The bar was super busy so I couldn't order a margarita cocktail. Only one person behind the bar.

We had dinner at the pub and used to go a lot. Not sure what the change is but last 2 times the food is average and was a quarter of the size it was before. The parmi was dry and tiny. The food used to be amazing now not so much.

We had a dreadful experience in what could only be described as very poor management by the manager. We ordered steak and no sides with eggs. I specifically asked that the eggs on one steak be well-cooked. I was advised that the meals were approximately a 30-minute wait so asked for a coffee while we waited. After 40 minutes I approached the severey area and waited a further 15 minutes for service. During this time at least 4 different staff members walked past me with no acknowledgement.
The meals arrived about an hour after ordering with extremely under cooked eggs and cold steak. My wife took hers back to request the eggs be cooked further. A person took the plate with no communication, and later returned the plate to our table and apologized for the under done eggs. By this time the steak was very cold and uninviting.
The staff were busy. But it was Saturday and it was the school holidays. However, the place was not packed. The Que for drinks was at least 5 to 6 persons constantly with only one staff member the whole time. I also went to place a bet at the TAB, and after a 15-minute wait, I departed as the race had already started. Numerous persons also complained of the same experience whilst trying to place a bet at the TAB.

We come to Kondari on a regular basis now and that’s down to the amazing food and friendly service from the awesome staff.
We would like to say a special thank you to the amazing “Courtney”, she is truly a gem that shines above and beyond. Her dedication and professionalism truly shows and she is a part of the reason we are now regulars. She has attention to detail and makes your whole experience and family feel welcome. Please hold on to her and look after her as we truly need more staff like this in customer service.

Very good service in particular the young girl in pink T shirt serving, Tahlia maybe who was excellent.
Parmas, Brushetta, kids meal were ok however we wouldn’t order them again and I wasn’t told there was a drink included in the kids meal and bought 1 from the bar 😳
Toilets were old and tired looking and could use a Reno!
Turtles outside were cool for the kids to enjoy and the atmosphere was good tonight

The staff were really pleasant. And Tahlia that was running the bistro side is truly a star in the hospitality world. Tahlia greeted every table with a smile and it was often that she was moving around the scenes making sure everyone was happy. Great job Tahlia, Hervey Bay needs more like you :)

The staff were courteous and polite, however if you want to stay for a couple of days don't book a family economy room. The room I had was drab. paint peeling off the walls, missing light covers, which were dusty and dirty. Sorry the room was just awful. I am sure the other rooms were far nicer., but I will never stay there again.

The lady who served our food and desserts was very sweet and friendly. She served with a smile on her face and was willing to help with anything!

The hotel was nice, however, the parking situation was bad. There was no allocated parking for certain rooms, and we were told to use whatever space was available. The shower had mildew or something similar on the soap ledge, and you can hear the neighbours having a shower. There are no bedside lamps and no plug points near one of the beds. No hair dryer was given, and the fire extinguisher outside our room was in a broken glass case.
The positives were that the restaurant staff were very lovely and made the experience very nice. The location was close to the water and close to places we wanted to go. The pool was also very nice. For the price of the room, it wasn't too bad, but could definitely use some updates. In my opinion it was worth it. The people around were nice, and so was the area.

Such a great place to have dinner! I am usually really hard to please (just look at my other reviews) but the staff and food were amazing! I had a great burger, and the staff serving our table were so nice, I've never had such caring workers serve me 😅 loved it!

Staff were very friendly at Reception & especially in the restaurant. Amy there was most helpful & friendly getting me a table & ensuring I was good on my own. Great location. Close to everything. Lovely room. I even got upgraded on arrival as my room was not quite ready. Loved it there. I'll be back for sure.

My friends and I enjoy trivia night at the Kondari, enjoying a meal beforehand. A meal I have enjoyed since childhood is Lambs Fry and Bacon, and this one is took me back in time. The meat, vegetables and gravy were the perfect combination. For those who enjoy a meal of Offal, this meal is definitely ON.

My family decided to head out to an early mother's day lunch.
We were greeted by the most lovely young lady Tahlia. My God you guys have scored yourselves a hell of an employee.
The food was average but this star waitress made up for that.
I haven't visited since Ali left. but my God Tahlia you are like Ali a bloody star. Don't ever change your amazing and I hope the Kondari appreciate how amazing you are. You maybe young but your work ethic was amazing. Well done 👏

Lovely position. Our unit was in overlooking the ponds, but it was not worth the price charged, no bedside lamps, clock, etc. very plan and they even gave a discount, the meal at the restaurant wasn't the best, think the kitchen workers wanted to get home. The hotel staff were lovely and welcoming. I don't normally complain but wasn't happy with it. Because of the position, I'd give it another try but will book it through a travel site to get the cheapest price.

I understand we got a budget room for $159 a night but when we arrived late the room smelled like absolute filth floors stained and I jumped into bed and couldn’t even use the blanket they left for me as it was dirty my sheets and blanket had marijuana on it I am not happy at all the blankets should be cleaned after every stay also a burn hole in the mattress above me..pissed off and angry is a understatement I would not recommend this place filthy disgusting
Reply… when we arrived it was late no one was at the check in reception we had to get our keys from the bar and we leave as early as we could because it’s putrid

I booked this hotel through Qantas. It is a low cost hotel with no thrills. Location could be better you need transport to get around. It was quiet, had nice grounds, room comfortable but basic, no tissue., Bed linen only changed on 4 day, charges for extra change. Good pool on site and restaurant but not open for breakfast and no cafes with good breakfast close. Staff courteous but were not forthcoming but this could be due to company changes hence were not informed that I could get discount on meals in restaurant. Sofie in restaurant most helpful. Would I stay here next. I would look for better location but I would need to pay more. Short stay, overnight might consider.

Had lunch yesterday with a group of us. The service from Tahlia is amazing and everytime we are there she is exactly the same!!!Makes sure you have your meals if not goes and finds out and lets you know!! Always comes back and checks everyone’s happy with their meals !! She loves her job you can tell. Nothing is ever a trouble!! She’s a great asset to your business!! 👍😊

Had lunch here on a quick trip to Hervey Bay from the Sunshine Coast. Best meal we had while there. Great prices on the lunch menu and staff were extremely helpful . Lovely outlook over the lake. Will definitely go back on my next visit.

Had dinner there last night. Food was well priced, menu was good and great value. Staff were very happy and friendly. Sat outsude and very pleasant overlooking creek. Easy walk from Pier One Caravan Park.

Had a family function & we go to Kondari every year.
Had the use of the function room as its a big gathering.
They decorated for us which was a lovely surprise - thanks Tameka.
Lunch was lovely & the service from Courtney outstanding. She is bright, bubbly & very friendly & nothing was too much trouble.

Good old fashioned value meals that taste good too. Great staff and when I was looking for a convenience store to get milk for the next day at work, Tahlia just gave me some straight from the fridge. And I wasn't even staying there. Maybe next time.

Friendly staff. Located handy to marina and water front. Room had cooking facilities and fridge to save money of eating out, also several BBQs around grounds with a duck pond within complex, pool etc. I really loved the pub, the locals were friendly and it was a family atmosphere for the state of origin night and everyone was really chill and it was great vibe. Rooms were clean and presented well and parking was great.

Came for lunch Sunday 23rd June with another couple from Brisbane. Ordered 4 meals. Received 3 and was told 4th coming. Checked 4 times and told was coming. 3 of us finished when after another enquiry the 4th meal turned up. Not good enough Kondari.
