With the playground for my grandchildren I love going to this pub for dinner.
Live music in the main restaurant and plenty of nice seating outdoor around the playground as if you are in the comfort of your own backyard.
Staff in the kitchen were nice and the food was generously portioned and delicious.
My grandson said: can we come here everyday?

We visited windang pub last night and had such a good experience. The whole place is decked out to cater for everyone and all ages. They have multiple places to eat, inside and out! We were so amazed by the play area and outdoor seating for families to sit and eat with the kids run around. The employees were amazing and incredibly
Kind and accommodating. Couldn’t recommend this place enough. This is by far our new favourite place to eat.

We really enjoy coming here. Great Place for kids while you relax in heated areas outside in cabanas.. Ideal for winter and rainy days. The shank pie is amazing. The Chefs sure take pride in their work. Always quick service for meals. And kids eat free on Sunday!!

We have been to this pub a good few times recently (in town for a couple of months). Whether it has been lunch or dinner, weekday or weekend, we have found the food to be fresh and fabulous and the quality doesn’t change. The staff are friendly and welcoming and the place is always clean and tidy. This is a great pub for a really decent feed. The Mon-Fri lunch specials are extremely good value too.

Omg I had the lamb shank pie. It would have to have been the best goddam pie I have ever eaten!!!

We booked ahead for 13 and were seated outside in a single Cabana (meant for 6-8 people). Once we got our food, we were swarmed with cockroaches, manager came out and sprayed with mortein, said he was horrified and that it was disgusting but he was reluctant to give refunds when the were all over the table, bench seats and all up the walls.
Only 2/13 meals were refunded, no discount offered or anything.
Have now spent the night sick with food poisoning so food was no good either.
Definitely won't be returning 😞

Visited the Pub last week, wow what a great Job they have Done, nothing like the Old Windang Hotel. It looks fantastic and caters for all , big tab area , bottle shop , nice pokies area if ya into them. Massive play area for the kids. We were 5 adults and 4 kids under 10 and they loved it and we could see them from where we were sitting. The Dining Room is huge and comfy. The Food is good but i personally think the price point is a tad high. I had the steak sanga and it was good, the Wife had Bruschetta and it was to salty . 3.5 stars for the meal and 5 stars for the Hotel it really is well done. Heaps of parking out the back. Would i eat here again, Yes i would.

The bistro at Lake Illawarra Hotel is great. Meals all tasted good, and service was very friendly. The owner greeted us and gave my son a free ice cream. We will be back.

Stopped in to have a bite to eat for dinner . Such a lovely welcome from staff and they went out of their way to make us feel special. Food was great and will definitely be back

Nice pub, Food was mostly good except the mushroom sauce was jelly like and had a weird taste. The surf and turf was nice even with the unusual tomato type sauce. Oysters Kirkpatrick were ok although they were smothered with bacon and a bbq type sauce not the usual worstershire.

Nice place to go with family, they have a great play area for kids. The food came out quick however portion wise could have put more on the plate for the price we pay. The service was amazing, all staff members were very friendly.

Monday was steak night which came with beer or wine. How great is that?
Only fault was the extremely long wait for the food. There was a party of 50 ppl outside who ordered before all of us inside so our meals were slow.

Meals are great specially Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday nights buy one get one free. Great value for families.

I have allergies, and the staff made me feel cared for and not an inconvenience (which is rare!).
The food was delicious, and the atmosphere comfortable.
Great prices too.

I can only comment on the food we received as a group, it was about average across the group, some above and some below. I got a pizza which was below average. However atmosphere was great and a big play area for kids.

I can definitively say some staff here have racist slurs to say to me. On a number of random times I was in there.
Unprofessional and rude. I've experienced on several occasions now.
I know for certain I have not been anything bad, but able to communicate well enough. Without being rude. Apologetic as well.
I've been sworn at one time by a staff just a few days ago for buying soft drink.
Just last night, as I went through a sliding glass door. I heard a staff utter a racist slur intended for me. From the bar. It was not the first time, too.
I was willing enough to have a conversation with a few of them, yet the unprofessional and rude treatment continues.
I don't think it is a mistake but intentional.

Had a wonderful experience here. Food was great, chefs were lovely, Clay has an amazing ability to stack plates. Will definitely be back. Did I mention the brilliant shine on that cutlery 🤩

Great place for families with young children with gated outdoor covered play area. We were there in the pouring rain and still enjoyed ourselves in the covered eating area. Clean, toilets were clean and staff were friendly. My meal was delicious and hot, reasonably priced.

Good children’s playground. Not somewhere to go for drinks. One hour wait on Wednesday night for a plate of frozen fish chips. Not worth $24.

Beyond excellence; beautiful food, amazing atmosphere and bubbly nice people. Nothing more to say than just it’s an exemplary experience. Will be returning for that rump steak and sure and turf.

Bad Customer Service . Lady at gaming section ask get lost to a Customer even we feel very bad . Management need to train staff .
