Worst food ever. Great spot. Staff nice. But Jesus Christ get a real chef. Who ever is cooking your food this summer is seriously bad. I mean it’s never been the best when we have visited but it was so bad we all left hungry. Couldn’t eat it. 🤢

What an absolutely beautiful venue right on the banks of the lake. Simply stunning views, fabulous food and awesome entertainment. Can't wait to get back there.

What a beautiful location! We had a three night getaway. This was the perfect spot to enjoy Mulwala. Fresh, fluffy towels each day was a beautiful surprise for the price. Great traditional pub meals, with friendly and welcoming staff. We will definitely be coming back!

We went for a casual Friday night dinner. I asked for a change to a meal on the menu which was no problem. The staff were friendly & food was AMAZING. |One small downside was there was a rowdy bunch in the bar which had clearly had to much to drink and yet were still being served. |Aside from that Highly recommended.

We loved our stay here, very welcoming and offered the room $9 less per night that what was quoted. Had the lamb cutlets yum I must say. The view from the room was amazing. ||Is a nice pizza shop up the road, also a car wash and laundry mat If needed.

Rooms are good, but when you drive 600kms and find the bistro closed, through no fault of the hotel as chef is not well. You go and find some other place to eat and come back to the hotel to have a few drinks, only to be told at 7-00pm that the place is closed, what a way to encourage business, no more for me, which is a shame as it is a great pub. I will find other accommodation next time I come here which will be quite regularly as I am building down here.

Recently had stayed here for 2 nights. First off the restaurant itself is very nice the menu was a little limited but the food was great. On the other hand the accommodation side of things was not so great. The room was clean to standard, the amenities and the condition of the room was very run down. We booked the family room with a sliding door in between rooms but that door did not slide. The doors were very old and the castors were broken. The amenities were also very old and cheap. Don’t get me wrong I did enjoy my stay but I expected a lot more for the price paid.

Lake Mulwala Hotel is an old style pub with a new double storey motel extension on the grounds. The parking area is cramped. The reception is operated by staff who have to also manage the restaurant, kitchen and bar. Any questions regarding the internet were dealt with but inadequately. The internet was patchy and ineffective when available. |The room had a bed and a large sofa however the bed was placed right next to the window where everyone could look in so it was necessary to keep the blinds down all the time which meant having the poor lighting on all the time. The poor lighting probably hid the dirty carpet that other posters have spoken of. The furniture was from the 70s and of cheap quality.||The bed however was comfortable and the linen crisp and clean. The kitchen area was only a sink and fridge. The lighting was so poor that one could not even see into the cupboards where the crockery and tea making items were.||The bathroom was well lit and clean but the shower was difficult to adjust. You either froze or were scalded. The toilet door to unit 4 did not close properly and stuck so it was difficult to operate.||The pub restaurant had both an indoor area (patronised by families and those drinking heavily) and a restaurant area. The bar was also well patronised by the locals. The menu was very much pub food and a salad was not to be seen. The portions were large and the fries outweighed the main portion of the meal. Many baskets of chips were returned to the kitchen! There was only one cook on duty and the wait staff had to do everything including some of the cooking. It took us two hours to get a bowl of wedges and an entree! Both were of mid-quality.||The location of the hotel was good for families and those who wanted to use the boat ramp. The waterslide must have closed down in 2018/19 and has not been used since. The BBQ boats leave from in front of the hotel. |This is not a place we would stay again. In fact Mulwala is an area to just drive through, not stop.

I went here for dinner last night with some friends and was very happy with everything. The staff were very polite, friendly and always smiling. My food came out in a timely fashion and was so delicious. The sizing was very generous and I couldn’t get through it all. I will definitely be returning again on my next visit. This is definitely the place to go if you want friendly staff who go out of their way to make your dining experience enjoyable

It's alright. Went here on a Saturday evening. Ordered a Honey Mustard Parma, but the schnitzel was crumbed similar to pre-made Safeway schnitzels, and felt oily but dry. The bacon was chewy and not great. Also got a pint of Cider, the pint seemed oddly small, and the bar was cash only, something I didn't expect to still exist.

Drinking smoking swearing screaming in the next lot of rooms to ours I rang motel an hotel no answers I rang police who did a drive by and didn’t even get out of there car . Great staff! Really tasty and good value schnitzel/parmi's - we had the LMH, Meat Lovers, Traditional and American (and a steak sandwich) - all delicious! The people serving, however, are the real treat.

Friendly service, cold beers and pub food done right. We came on a Wednesday night when twenty bucks gets you one of a wide selection of parmigianas, two sides and a beer and everyone had one and loved it.|Excellent outdoor dining area with shade, lake views and a great atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Food average. Had pistachio coated lamb. Overdone and tasteless. People i were with enjoyed their meals. Maybe the wrong choice, wrong time. Plus, they have a huge deck, but don't allow dogs

First time. Went there for Sunday lunch. Looked through menu and thought prices were very reasonable. Ordered chicken caesar salad. Barely covered the plate. Very disappointed. Had to go looking for something to level the table. Didn' t work and other people were doing the same. No eftpos at bar. Maybe today wasn't the day to go.

Can not thank the staff enough for such friendly helpful service. Bummed Parmy night has been postponed until late Jan however food portions and speedy + friendly service made amends. Not forgetting the daily specials to delight! We are in house guests and our room is sufficient, clean and tidy. Shame about the pretentious pompous noisy establishment behind the accomodation building (separate to Lake Mulwala Hotel). The lack luster music on a repetitious drone, late into the evening; surely past legal noise curfue without a care to others non related to their business was a disappointment. Shame a businesses so close to another major business isnt considerate of the others or their guests. Blacksmith's Mulawla should be ashamed! Hands down, Lake Mulwala Hotel is worth a visit weather its for a feed or a stay you won't be disappointed. Keep up the great work! Thanks LMH team

Accommodation at the Lake Mulwala Hotel/Motel was reasonably priced in comparison to its competitors and I couldn't really fault it on value for money. The lake was a one minute walk away across the carpark. There is also the Purtle Park Adventure Playground 5-10 minutes' walk up the road that was one of the more exciting playgrounds I've seen. Lakefront barbeques are also available at this park. Heading 5-10 minutes by foot in the other direction from the hotel, you will find the popular Mulwala Bakery, as well as the Royal Mail Hotel that had some OK lunch specials when I visited. My room was clean and had decent amenities, pretty much all you'd expect in a motel. Air conditioning, TV, fridge, ironing equipment, toaster, kettle etc. I didn't like the liquid soap however (one of my pet hates at hotels), which doubled as hand wash, shampoo and dishwashing liquid. I guess it saves money, but providing a couple of little bars of soap to guests, as well as proper shampoo in little bottles, surely wouldn't break the bank? As a very light sleeper I don't feel my request for a quiet room was met, as I was given a room near the driveway entrance on the bottom floor, so apart from the noise of people in the rooms above and next to me, plus their plumbing, I also had the noise of guests' cars to contend with, as well as their walking around on the ground floor. The motel building is double storey, so if you don't have issues going up stairs I would suggest considering one of the upstairs rooms. Whilst the service at reception was friendly and polite overall, I was taken aback when my request for a couple of extra 15mL containers of milk was denied. There were only 3 provided in the room, which is far from enough for making the provided instant coffee bearable enough to drink, and it was suggested that I could get milk from the servo up the road. I've stayed in plenty of motels attached to pubs and never seen so little milk provided. What would happen if I liked milk in my tea as well?!?! This has led me to remove a star from my rating. I didn't eat at the pub itself due to the prices being too high. They didn't appear to have any lunch or daily specials either (you know, like Tuesday $20 steaks or similar). In conclusion, I know it's not the Marriott and I feel I got good value overall and would stay there again, but there are certainly improvements that could be made. Noise insulation in the rooms and upping the level of guest amenities a touch would go a very long way to making this motel "pretty good" rather than "just OK".

Absolute legends who work here! After an issue with our wedding venue, they willingly stayed open for us so we could finish off our reception, and nothing was too much trouble. They let us bring all our decorations/DJ equipment on short notice, and truly went above and beyond. We are super grateful to the staff/managers who let us party on for the evening, and saved our night. Will definitely be back to visit next time we are in Mulwala.
