Yum! Yum! Yum! Ordered three specials for lunch and four of us were all amazed at the flavor and the freshness of the ingredients. Simply amazing! Lovely attentive service!

We received a very friendly greeting and the female staff member arranged a highchair for us. The menu is excellent and prices reasonable in the current economic climate, the service was excellent and the food hot and fresh. The oysters Kilpatrick was delicious as was the steak and fish and chips. We sat outside and had a lovely breeze and over looked the water and boats. It was very relaxing.

Tried 3 courses. Garlic bread was probably the highlight of all three courses, very generous and tasty. Lakes entrance fish and chips was clearly fozen bland fish with no taste at all. Not even the salad had dressing 1/5 stars. Pasta was also tasteless under seasoned and quite a disappointment besides the chorizo. 2/5 stars. Kids meals - fish and chips a deep fried piece of frozen fish and chips - once again no seasoning and no flavour. Kids pasta was the only dish with flavour, no meat for the spaghetti only sauce. 2/5 stars. Finally we tried the sticky date pudding - generous portion and was ok. 3/5 stars. Overall will give a rating of 2/5 stars, simply wasn't worth the asking price.

Thoroughly enjoyed my time at the Central Bistro. The staff were kind and accommodating. I enjoyed chatting with them while I was in town for dinner with friends. The steak was well cooked and they make a good gin mixer. Went for an early dinner on a Sunday so it was a bit quiet, but it was good to be able to chat with my friends in peace.

This place was very busy, however staff managed to fit us in for lunch. We had the fish and chips with salad, one of the best I gave ever had. Service was welcoming, and meals were promptly delivered.

The food was deep fried and then deep fried again. Not sure why everyone raves about this place - wasn’t impressed.

Service and atmosphere were good. Expected for a bistro. We looked at the meals people were having and noticed all were plain and simple and nothing complex. Menu supported this. My meal was top end for cost. I did look forlornly at my reef sauce that looked like a Chinese fleet had plundered the area moments before. Luckily the remaining items of seafood were fresh. The steak was great but the chips were limp. My partner had problems with her meal of salt with calimari. Yeah, wish we had gone to maccas.

Ordered Seafood Special for 1, it wasn't worth the price paid. Being where we were I expected more fresh seafood, only got 3 fresh prawns and 1 oyster the rest was fried which consisted of 4 strip's of calamari , I small piece fish and 2 mussels, chips & salad very basic. Also ordered Brisket, I and partner didn't think that it was brisket and the flavour was very plain. We felt very disappointed with the meals that we ordered and only rate meals as average.

My wife’s food was very good(the perch special). My burger however not so much, the meat was from I can only imagine was a frozen processed patty that was itself over cooked, the bread was stale and over toasted. Chips were ok, and the aioli was more sour cream than anything else.. service was quick and the staff were friendly and pleasant.

Look. the food was above average. my wife really loved the lamb ragu pasta. but did it elevate itself above any other small coastal town pub. not really. clearly caters for the holiday crowds. but in a night where it wasn’t jammed. lacked something. Nothing detrimental by any means. but not as top tier as other similar situated locales. as a pub very good. something in me suggests I would like it more in the depths of winter. just sitting back watching the footy….

Had dinner here twice during the Easter weekend. Meals were exceptional. Had the roasted charmoula coated pumpkin and the creamy pasta prawn spaghetti. Hubby had the seafood spaghetti and the scallops. Everything was delicious. Highly recommend.

Had a drink in the pub section whilst we waited for our table to be ready. Order & pay at the counter, then wait for your food to be delivered to your table. It’s a shame that you can’t substitute chips for veggies, knowing they have them. I guess they hope to make extra by selling it as an add on. Service was friendly and prompt.

Great place to eat at. Food was tasty, service was good, and it seems that they fully clean the grill for gluten-free orders. Very nice attention to detail!

Great place for families. They accommodated our group of 8 well in a busy period. High chairs available. Kids menu chicken nuggets & chips and fish & chips was perfect for the 6 year olds but a little small for 10 year old, but come with a free drink and well priced. Mains were reasonably priced and good selection of specials. Seafood chowder and porterhouse were winners. Thanks for the hospitality!

Food was amazing especially the pastas. Staff were super friendly and seemed to love what they were doing. The Sticky Date was TO DIE FOR! Was absolutely delicious! Highly recommend this place especially if only swinging by town.

Food exceeded expectations. Slightly exxy in terms of cost and waited awhile for food - but it was delicious. Consistent and tasty. The steak with seafood sauce was melt in your mouth! (No photo - was too good!)

First time eating there, but I had the Brisket, my wife had their steak, and we had entrees of calamari and scallops. The food was awesome, the steak was cooked great, and the brisket fell apart. The calamari wasn't chewy or oily, and the scallops came with some bacon and an avo puree. On top of this, the ladies behind the bar offered advice on their champaign and hit the nail on the head. I don't generally like champaign but this one was really nice. The service was really good despite being busy, and the atmosphere was great. Considering it would be considered a PUB, it was a great experience. Thanks guys.

Do not book a table by the toilet door. Window seating is popular, but if you wait a bit you could get one. Scallops were a bit dissapointing, 3 very small Scallops on a shell x 2 shells ie: 6 small Scallops total. I loved my Gummy Shark though. The banoffee spring rolls were also a bit dissapointing. Couldn't recommend them. Otherwise, an enjoyable venue.
