Will stay again. Freshly painted room, table, 2 comfortable chairs. Ample wardrobe space. double bed, super clean. Great shower pressure. I had no problem with the hand basin in the main room. Staff were friendly. Having the RSL dining room a few steps away didn't hurt either. They don't serve breakfast but a bakery has opened 2 doors down and the motel next door (rooms two and a half time dearer than Glenara) were happy to serve me breakfast (They have a lovely lounge serving cocktails and drinks till 8pm.) Glenara has discounts for RSL members, RACV and Seniors. I stayed Saturday and Sunday night for a total of $160. ||My only disappointment was no microwave. There was, TV, hair dryer, toaster, kettle and milk with the usual tea and coffee provided plus tissues!||While Wi-Fi was advertised I didn't use it so can't rate it.

We went to the RSL tonight (Easter Monday) and it did not disappoint.
Food came out by the time we'd ordered or drinks! Didn't even finish to the drinks by the time we'd finished our food.
Food was lovely and filling.

We have been dining here for years and have always come away happy. The food is great, the staff are lovely and the prices are good for budget conscious patrons. Great kids area that is in view of dining area, clean toilets and fun pokies. What more could you ask? The Chicken and corn soup is to die for, the Satay skewers are brilliant and there is an "Aussie " menu too. Excellent asian selection.Try it, you won't be disappointed!

We had lunch 😋 it was very tasty and lots of it. I had beef curry and hubby had Mongolian beef.

We dined here twice on this visit to the area. The first time we sampled the Australian menu and the second time we ate from the Chinese menu. Both cuisines were fabulous and the serving sizes are very generous. Special mention for the AMAZING desserts on offer.

This is a very clean, tidy and comfortable older style motel which is affordable and well run. Everything worked and all the usual things were provided and generally worked - the only minor issue was that the TV remote looked as though it needed new batteries but the TV itself worked perfectly on manual. Staff were very friendly and obliging and went out of their way to make our stay even more pleasant. I've stayed in similar motels while travelling right around Australia and this one ranks amongst the best in terms of meeting all the expectations you would have of such accommodation. Good features are its central location in the town centre and just across the road from the various ferry terminals. Very accessible and easy to find. I'd certainly stay here again if travelling through.

The room we stayed in even though dated was clean and well presented. The food in the RSL was excellent and the service was outstanding. This site is in a great location, at the front you are on the main street and the rear entrance access the north arm? , where there is multiple boat hire sites.

Their Dining Room is superb with great food for a great price !!!
Plus they facilitate the epitome of Customer Service with an awesome crew !!!

Terrible meal, wouldn't recommend. Chips soggy and unsalted, beer didn't taste right and the chicken Parma wasn't cooked, when I returned the Parma to the kitchen the chef proceeded to argue with me and tell me it was cooked. The customer is always right.

Staying for the weekend. Depending on where u parked you required really good skills to get out due to people not parking correctly. The rooms are clean with the basics u would expect, kettle, toaster appropriate crockery, towels complimentary shampoo, conditioner & soap

Sorry guys, your Bistro menu is 40 years out of date. Honey Chicken and rice was bland, tasteless and possibly reheated. Your opposition runs rings around you. I like a good Chinese meal but what I had was nothing to rave about! Wife’s Mongolian Beef was just Ok too.

Simple old-school motel. Easy check in. Pleasant staff. Room was a little dated but very clean and had all the basics. Good shower pressure. Walking distance to everything. Great value at $115 in January. ||The pool was clean but looked dirty as it desperately required a paint job. This seems like a simple thing to fix but appeared as if it had been that way for a while.||Overall well worth it if you are happy with basic accommodation done well.

Mediocre at best. A shabby ambiance with mismatching tables and scratched up weathered utensils. The satay chicken was bland and I felt like they used pre-made sauce from the grocery store. The Mongolian beef was okay, the sizzling plate saved it and the Singapore noodles and fried rice looked pale and sad, lacking flavour. Ultimately I would not come back unless I was desperate for a meal

Lakes entrance RSL was absolutely fantastic! Great fast friendly service, wonderful staff, fresh affordable tasty food. I was gobsmacked at how quickly the food was served to me after I ordered it. I literally just took a tiny sip from my drink and the food I ordered was served to me. I have never had such prompt, friendly service in my life and it's how every good establishment should model itself after. Absolutely outstanding! 10 stars!!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Had a lovely meal at the RSL bistro. Large servings and nice and tasty. We had the steak and the fisherman’s basket both where lovely and filling. Staff where nice and friendly and the service is quite fast .

Great spot to stay close to shops and walks |We had a lovely meal at RSL |Ideal position across the road from Lake. |And very reasonably priced |Only thing I didn’t like no exhaust fan or hand basin in bathroom |Staff very friendly Even had free laundry for guests. Parking outside room.

Great location, rooms were very clean and tidy. Price was incredible compared to a lot of prices in this age. Nice bistro on site, Chinese really good. Didn't try the Australian menu. Overall a great place to stay.

Excellent Chinese food! Large prawns laced with cashews! Staff were outstanding. Welcoming and professional. Staff regularly conversed, checked all was okay and when taking home dessert, checked that cutlery was available.

Can’t go wrong with the Chinese menu. The food is always delicious and the service is fast. They also have a kids play room which is fantastic to keep the little ones entertained and desserts are amazing!

Awesome location with picture perfect views and scenic vistas, a great place to relax and have fun. The boat ride is a must do activity in order to enjoy the place to it's fullest. Highly recommended to spend at least a full day to enjoy the most.
