W used to use an automatic machine to buy cigarettes here, but he took my money and didn't get cigarettes! I didn't get a refund, just told me to contact the cigarette company myself, and I haven't got a refund so far! Yesterday, I used the ATM to withdraw money again. As a result, the money was deducted from my account because of the machine failure, but no money was given to me! I tried the second machine and the second bank card again, and the money was deducted again, but there was no money to come out! If there is something wrong with your machine, you should be obliged to tell the customer! Instead of this happening many times! Finally, I lost $2005.8 for no reason. I got the help of a clerk and told me to call the number on the machine, but I haven't got a refund yet! But when there is something wrong with your machine, you should first repair and inform the guests immediately! Instead of happening to me and other guests many times! At that time, I couldn't withdraw any more money because my withdrawal was limited on that day! I proposed to use POS machine to withdraw money, but it was rejected, which is ok in other club. When zaiatm ATM breaks down! But this family can't. I didn't get any help when my bank card was deducted but I didn't get cash! Just wait ~

Well it's to hard to give much review about service, because the only contact it's when you buy the food. Then, they take the plates and they don't say anything. The food was good, I went for lunch and it ts reasonable price and enough food, and also the place is very nice.

We have been coming here for 10 years consistently and recently every Tuesday for trivia. Tuesday 14/06 was the first day we've been there since the hotel took over the kitchen and it was a horrible experience. Not only did they forget one meal but when they fixed it the chicken was dry and they gave pepper gravy instead of regular gravy.
Every single table around us sent food back and the trivia lady even said to us that every one complained of how bad the food was. So many now better pubs in the area, go elsewhere.

Used to be good but now food service is super slow. Waited over an hour to get the food. Ordered medium steak but got well done. The indoor seating area is non-smoking but its full of smoke. Got cigarette smell all over the body after we left.

This was our 2nd time here for lunch. Both times we ordered from the lunch specials.
The food came with a choice of mash/vegetables or chips and salad at no extra cost. With a soft drink included in the price as well.
Our food was excellent, the staff pleasant and accommodating with slight variations.
Definitely recommend to everyone.
We will all be repeat customers

This place is crazy! Never have I ever been asked to leave by a manager where you can’t have more than 2 people on a machine, the manager on tonight is embarrassing, can’t let a group of friends enjoy their night out, well done Lakes Hotel, you’re the best.

This hotel was not at all what I expected when I walked in. Very modern and large bistro bar with an impressive menu. Front bar is a sports lovers dream with one of the largest TV screens I've seen in a venue of this size. Staff were super friendly too.

The steak is really quite good if a little inconsistently cooked. Service is happy and helpful, nice relaxed atmosphere

The staff were unbelievably rude and had no interest in being as polite we were considering we were overcharged for our food. The kitchen staff were kind and helpful but the food was not great. Burgers were overcooked and the wings were underwhelming.

The food used to be pretty great, but has seriously gone down hill with new ownership. Burgers and steak are consistently burnt-tasting, and the portions are smaller.

Quiet spot on a Tuesday. Schnitty was great and mash was good. Veg was just green beans and carrots. Dinner special came with a pub drink which the bartender didn't bother telling us about or giving us.

Nice atmosphere. Great for family & friends. Good menu and they do very good quality food. Parking is very convenient & free!

I would have given zero stars for the service if possible. Staff( one imparticular) was rude and unprofessional. The food however was good, but unfortunately huge letdown by staff.

I originally wrote the below review before they changed hands or kitchen changed. Went there tonight and the whole menu has changed. We had 6 meals in our group and they were awful. The Angus burger is a highly processed patty and nothing Angus about it, the beer battered fish is terrible, the chicken was dry and the list goes on. I actually won't eat her again now, it was hit and miss before but now it's just awful.
Local hotel. Recently renovated. A large inside courtyard and dining area. Pub Food is a hit and a miss. Some things are excellent, others are bland. Try it. I visit often.

Hi guys I came in Yesterday thinking the food was going to be good but it wasn’t really unfriendly staff too and my next complaint is that the chairs were all cheap and the seats had holes in them and the legs were broken too The Steak I had Yesterday it was all over cooked and very chewy and not enjoyable the Chips were really under seasoned as well that’s my next issue and my last issue is that the salad was all wilted it lasted like old paper

Haven’t been here for ages and decided to give it another shot. Ordered the Barramundi and the chicken parmigiana as well as a side of sweet potato fries. To be brutally honest, the fries were probably the pick and that’s saying something as you can’t really stuff them up. The Barramundi was dry and overcooked and the parmigiana had little or no ham and sauce. Generally speaking, it’s your average pub bistro food, nothing more, nothing less. I’ll try again in a couple of years, maybe..

Had a group of friends for drinks, last drinks were ordered then were told to hurry up and finish them by 3 very rude and aggressive staff. We spent big money and we’re treated like cattle. Will never step foot in the place again. Aggressive and rude.

Had a great Pork Belly meal, it was a large serving and delicious. Staff are always friendly, it's a great place if you want to talk and eat as it is a quieter pub

Good pub grub. You pay average prices between $25-$35 range for a meal with a good portion size. We had the surf and turf, T-bone steak and mushroom truffle arancini which were all cooked perfectly. Comparing to other local watering holes this one is definitely at the top of the list and it's not overly busy.
The customer service could use working on as the staffer was playing on her phone and we had to ask her to serve us, but the kitchen here is good so its worth a repeat visit. The facilities are clean and reasonably well kept.

First time here. Ordered the chicken parmi dinner special.
Very good. Big portion, taste excellent. Chips and salad were good too. Mushroom sauce didn't cost anything extra which was surprisingly nice. And they also have a condiments bar that has a chicken salt shaker. I really like the option of free sauce and chicken salt. Like It would literally cost nothing but the small things like that will have me coming back.

Ahhhh the lakes my local pub, to be honest the lakes is a nice place to end the night, the lakes has a calm atmosphere but can get busy at the best of nights..
the food on the other went downhill after the head chef of many years had left, now the food is poor in quality AND quantity. Wouldn’t recommend for a pub feed anytime soon.
