We had our work Christmas party here, but outside at the BBQ. Plenty of tables to sit at. Great location.

We ate at the Chinese restaurant within the tavern and the food was great value for money and delicious. Service was quick.
The Tavern was busy as we turned up on a night where they were raffling off a boat! That said we were served quickly and the staff were always friendly. Felt like a local by the end of the night!

Very nice local pub, great friendly staff, good prices for drinks and some nice Friday arvo raffles. Great atmosphere a short walk from lanis holiday park

Very busy tonight so was noisy... staff handled the crowds... and kitch had the meals just rolling out... well done to all the staff..

This little gem brings back all my childhood memories. What awesome food, amazing staff with the happiest kindest attitude. We highly recommend coming here for a meal.

The four of us were unanimous that the food was very poor. The mini spring rolls were virtually entirely pastry, barely any filling. The mains were both very gluggy, clearly used too much cornstarch. The Szechuan beef was sickly sweet, more like a sweet and sour beef. The vegetables were over cooked. The dim sims were the only decent item. Sorry to say we won’t be back.

The food was absolutely atrocious. My family had a couple of mouthfuls from their meals, that was enough. We took the food back, and went and got stuff for sandwiches at the supermarket.

I’ve travelled 50 towns in the past year and I love the family feel of this pub. Playground was good. Staff are welcoming. Food was decent. Terrence was just a legend he was kind and welcoming and in the end drove me home. Lots of love for you guys thank you.

No steamed rice in a Chinese restaurant???
Very rushed experience however the dim sims and salt and pepper calamari were very good.

Nice open kitchen that pumps out the food hot and fast. The Chinese flavours are watered down to cater to the Aussie tourist market so as long as you understand that at the start your in for a good meal. We had Mongolian lamb with a fried rice on the side and the gold standard at any aussie Chinese, Prawn toast !

I didnt like the service in restaurant the woman was very abrupt & impolite, I ordered Mongolian lamb it was pricey & very ordinary rarely I don’t finish Chinese food. The club itself was great just never again the Chinese there.

I ate here on a Saturday night. Party of two. This was an Asian bistro. We ordered before being seated. We ordered a short soup, prawn toast, a small boiled rice and the beef in special sauce, served sizzling. All of our dishes were served hot and fresh within 5 minutes. The special sauce tasted like a hoisin sauce with a dash of spice. Good balance of vegetables and the beef was tender. The short soup wontons had a nice balance of flavours including pork and prawn. The broth was clear and delicious.
The four dishes cost $39. We were really impressed with the service and quality of food and would definitely go back there when we’re in Forster next.

Had an absolutely delicious Chinese feed with the family last night. The staff were so friendly, and gave my little boy a chocolate while we waited. The food was whipped up so quickly, and cannot fault anything. The pub is also dog friendly with a cute park for the kids. I’m Thanks for a lovely experience 👌

Had a birthday party for a 6 year old child.
Had a great time and a great meal.
I would recommend this place to anyone.

Great spot for a few drinks and dinner. Great Chinese food has never let me down when visiting and great drinks on tap

Great location, you feel tucked away and the atmosphere is very pleasant. Can’t comment on the food as I wanted chips at 1pm and was told the kitchen/restaurant would be open around 5pm ( I don’t think the restaurant there is actually apart of the tavern) but it is kid friendly, dog friendly and nice place for a catch up with friends or family per a beer. Highly recommend it

Food was tasty, came fresh and hot. Servings were a good size.
Atmosphere was a bit lacking and restaurant wad a nitnhere and there in appearance. Could do with a refurb which would increase the atmosphere.

Dropped by due to the reviews stating it was dog friendly restaurant and food was okay, however we didn't even eat but the whole service was terrible.
Note. They only have Chinese food from a stingy run down Chinese restaurant attached. I asked for the Mongolian sizzling plate but they said if you were to sit outside , you'd have to order as takeaway , the prices are way too high for takeaway, especially if they make it watered down.
Perhaps they had people steal plates and cutlery in the past that's why they don't serve outside. Quite strange policy if they're affiliated in the tavern.
The sports tavern was old and had no atmosphere but it was Thursday week day.
We left immediately due to the rude service.

Did not eat here, however food was available. Very nice roomy layout in pub itself, usually just go to the bottle shop, which has quite a range of wines , spirits , beers & ciders
Well worth a visit as prices are comparable to the majors.

Came here for dinner after missing lunch today. Food is great - delicious and large portions. Had the beef with garlic - very tasty. Food came out quite quickly. Barely had time to get a drink from the bar before it started to flow. Happily recommend.
