Went with the family. Kids meals were poor quality cant even cool nuggets. Spaghetti looked like it came out of a can. Chips were dry and and not fresh. Had the seafood risotto some of the muscles were bare 1 was still in the shell had prawn tail scraps in the risotto and it was a very small portion. Tool well over an hour to get Pur meals.

Went with elderly friend, and we had a great time. Service was friendly and polite. We had 2 Seniors meals, there was a good choice, and meal size was very generous. Roast pork was yummy, and fish and chips were fresh and delicious. Gluten free was no problems, so will be going back. It is nice and quiet at lunch time. Good ramp at the front for those with a disability.

We hosted our engagement party here last night. Not only was the function room amazingly decorated, it was also very spacious and accommodated for our 60 people. All the staff were amazing - especially Hailey, our bartender. Very affordable and very delicious canapes. We cannot recommend this place enough - do yourself a favour and check this place out if you're ever in the area!

We held a wake in the new outdoor area, the service was great the staff were excellent, their function menu suited us well and the food tasted great.

We have eaten here for nearly 3 decades, food has consistently been slightly above average, can’t say we have ever had a horrible meal.
Today I was quite annoyed with my chicken schnitzel, it was as thin as a couple of sheets of paper, might as well not bother putting the chicken in?? Poor value and poor quality meal.
I really hope this was a one off.

We dined here 20 Sept 2023: Service and staff were lovely and super friendly. We ended up here by accident after the Little River Hotel screwed us over for lunch. Meals were very generous, ambient atmosphere and location (parking too) is great and plenty of room where you're not forced to sit outside in dust and cold wind conditions. Oh and they have senior meal deals too, which is another great bonus (over LR hotel). We will be visiting here in future and highly recommend ... AAA++++ -- Thankyou!!

Waited 40min, had to collect our meals where other had not, chicken roulade was dry and hard to cut. Not worth $28

Visited for lunch with a big noisy group of senior citizens. A warm welcome, friendly staff, good food at a reasonable price and good service. Will be back.

Today, we celebrated our Daughters engagement.
Fleur was a great help, easy to communicate with, helpful beyond measure and professional.
The space is perfect for an event. Loved the vintage caravan as the bar. We had both fires going.
The food was plentiful and extremely delicious. 😋
Highly recommend anyone to hold their event here.

The chair that I was sitting on had an exposed nail picking up through the chair and it tore my New DRESS and not even an offer to pay for a replacement for my dress or even an apology.
All I got was we will have to get the chair replaced.
Discussting behavior from this hotel.
They weren't even concerned about my leg been scratched and cut by their with the nail that was picking up out of the top of the chair.
Will never go back there nor recommend it to anyone.

Superb food, prices and service. A group of 40 from our village for lunch and we were treated like royalty. Even met us at the station which was a short walk away. Will definitely be back.

Service staff were lovely. White wine was warm, meals were poor quality. Prefied oily schnitzel kept warm and soggy, overcooked salty chips that certainly weren't steakhouse fries as per menu. Not recommended.

My first time going to Lara, went for a drive with a Mate to drop his daughter off and glad I did, we won $1600 😜 and we paid for a couples Anzac Day dinner! Winning!! We didn't have time to have something to eat there but next time 100%. The atmosphere was Awesome, friendly people and staff were great!

Lunch today was totally inedible.
Roast of the day - beef with vegetables.
Beef was reheated with that dreadful taste and the vegetables were raw.
I told the waitress who absolutely could not care less.
Simply not good enough - especially for a long weekend. Usual staff not on ? Different chef ?

Just had a lovely meal with my mother. Service with a smile when ordering. Meal was cooked well and serving size was generous. Place was clean and atmosphere was great. You were actually able to talk without having to yell over the crowed. Price was reasonable and on par with other pub meals I have had.

I was surprised. I like the simple things and the roast beef was great value at $15.90 - as was a reasonable Shiraz at $7.80.
Very friendly staff in the bistro area too.

I wasn’t expecting much from a pokies bistro but it isn’t hard to get the basics right. Food and service was laughable.
Ordered food.
1. Was told there was a wait after we had ordered and paid. Ok, I guess we just wait then do we?
2. Me “Does the burger come with tomato sauce on it?” Server “The tomato is over there 👉” Not what I asked.
3. 40+ minute wait, with a quarter full restaurant

1. Chips cold
2. Burger was half the size of the bun
3. Asked for aioli on the side and received a bowl of gloopy snot. Complained, received “mayonnaise,” another gloopy bowl of snot minus the green. Bloody marvellous.

I try to be positive about a local business but I am unable to after our meals at this pub. No one on our table was satisfied with their meal. And by the way I am not a fussy eater but my calamari was tasteless. I the chips were OK, even the drinks tasted watered down. I will never go back!!

Be very careful when putting your money in the pokies here because mine didn’t register and I never got it back,even the girl saying that she seen me put in the money on the cameras and seeing that it hadn’t registered.I still didn’t get it back,oh well I hope the person that counted the money from that machine enjoys my money because that’s who’s definitely got it,🤬

Beer was flat. Honey burger was dry and tasted like sugar on chicken. Steak was tougher than a rubber boot when i asked for it medium rare. Also waited 50 minutes and not even 12 people in the restaurant. Will not be going back!

44 from our retirement village caught the train which is a couple of minutes walk from Lara Station to pub. We were met by Megan the landlady she and her staff were fabulous and the meals were amazing.
Thank you for a great afternoon.. We will be back ..
