You wait for a meal and don’t get it. Everyone else is fine. The say it’s one the way but the kitchen is empty. Whoops I think they forgot. And then it tasted like left over canned carbonara from the microwave

We were very surprised at how friendly the staff were. And the food was Tops as well. Why it's taken us 6 years to visit since moving here is a puzzle hahahah

We had the Mother’s Day lunch. It was $45 per person for chicken on mash. Worst meal I have eaten. Desert was on a table surrounded by flys. Definitely not value for money. Never again absolutely horrible!

We go for lunch on Fridays and always get a great welcome Carol and Jocelyn. Good always great at reasonable prices. Shannon is lovely too and the cooks are always available for a heads up. Altogether great place. Helping us plan a party for a significant birthday. Looking forward to having the event at the Spirts Club. Thank you to the whole team. Well done.

We came in after the Avalon Airshow and were looking for somewhere that had cheap beers on tap and a nice pub feed (as everywhere in Geelong appeared to be extremely expensive). The rump steak special on a Sunday was by far the best rump steak I’ve had – it was cooked perfectly and was an excellent portion size and great value for money. The beer was also substantially cheaper than all of the other pubs we’ve been to.
The staff were extremely friendly and accomodating. Overall, would 10/10 recommend.

Tried Pot and Parma night for a quick easy meal. Quick it was not! waited over half an hour for a garlic bread that was burnt on the edges and then another 45mins for a dozen fried chips and a Parma they couldn't even throw a small salad on plate to break up the blandness of deep fried food and offer some colour to the meal. Even if it costs a few more dollars for the meal people eat with their eyes
On a plus side the chicken was actually a breast and wasn't dry.
Will still take our money else where next time.
And no we didn't raise issue we just wanted to eat and get out of there by the time our meals come.

The best place to have your wedding reception! Couldn't ask for any more better service, than this restaurant. When they held their first wedding reception, the staff worked very well as a team to deliver great food. The guests could not stop talking about how well the food was present and how well it tasted. They are very accommodating to the requests and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND FUTURE WEDDING RECEPTIONS TO HELD THERE! It is the best place to hang out

Service by Matt was fantastic he was such a great host. The meal was very nice overall a very pleasant afternoon. We will definatley be back.

Really tasty food and big portions. Had a pie and a Parma and can I say the Parma was bang on all the right toppings and that sauce mmmm. My mate had the pie and boom people still cooking kidneys that's a big thumbs up in my books keep cooking all the traditional winners👍

Plenty of space around the tables. Fantastic picture windows. Lots of parking space. Easy and comfortable dining experience.

Just had my 70th Birthday Party. The food was very good the sandwiches were a hit made by Eleni. A great variety of fillings. Everyone was very happy with the food! Thank you for the gluten free food that was made . The service from the staff was excellent. Fully recommend for anyone to hold a function at Lara Sporting Club. Thank you for the table set up. I would not recommend this place, arrived at 6.00 pm and staff were to busy standing around talking. Tried to order drinks but told bar wasn't opened yet be with you shortly, had to go around to gaming room to get drinks. Entree Bruchetta ordered for 3 people but no small serving plates had to use napkins. It wad a joke. Never again.

I've not been there for a little while. The food is simple and well priced. The beer is cheaper than the alternative. The gaming room is ok. The bar staff aren't all happy little vegemites.

Have always been impressed with the meals and service over several years but today I believe it was not near the standard that they are well known for.I had the calimary of which I got 4 pieces of it with a small amount of salad and 8chips.Even though it was a pensioners serve it was not up to the standard I have come to expect from previous visits.I also had a desert of sticky date pudding which consisted of a pudding cut in half and served with minimal amount of sauce and nothing else also one of my companions got a wrong main meal which he reluctantly agreed to accept

Had lunch here last week. Very disappointed. Food was greasy and bulked up by a pile of soggy chips. They also wouldn't take the Entertainment Book voucher. That has only ever happened to me 3 times in 10 years. Why have one if you aren't going to honour it? On the plus side, wait staff are nice & good view of the oval. We won't be back.

Great little club, homely, good food except for the unfriendly staff, never come across a staff member who doesn't smile until there. A smile costs nothing Lady, wake up and be friendly. Make Customers welcome should be the motto.????

Geelong ChirpyPlus Group came for Saturday lunch and the other Head waitress was extremely considerate in seating arrangements to accommodate our Group. Fantastic customer service by both her and the other waitress. Meals were delicious. So obliging nothing was too much trouble.
Will definitely be back for another one of our catch-ups. I highly recommend Lara Sports Club.

First time here-
Greeted by a lovely lady “Carol” as soon as we walked in, she then took us to our seats.
Wait staff were fabulous- huge shout out to “Jocelyn” who took great care of us, great banter and nothing was too much trouble.
Food was absolutely delicious 😋

Dissapointed again. The website menu is different to the menu tonight and "gluten friendly" chips are from a packet that states may contain gluten ...and staff do not inform you the dairy free option when you choose it simply comes without any dressing at all , so plain salad covered in water from washing the lettuce ... third time here third time dissapointed never again ..

Always made to feel very welcome from our greeting from the lovely carol in the reception and the lovely trish who does the raffles on a Friday night, always a good feed, lots of parking, very enjoyable..

Always good service and the meals are great, never been let down yet. Pokies and TAB are good spots to hang in. View out to the sporting ovals which is nice (compared to the local pub that looks out onto a carpark).
Recent updates to decor has made the venue more comfortable.
