Wonderful find, flat grass area for camping and quiet but limited space, tarmac road all the way. $10 per night for 2 adults including showers and toilets. Food at the pub is fantastic service just as good. Very good value and great selection on the menu.
Wonderful country pub 😁

We went on a Sunday and they offered pizza pasta and ribs the food was fine but they didn't have a kids menu and the server made it seem like a huge deal to put a ticket through for a bowl of chips even tho the ribs come with chips.. apart from that it was fine

We had a lovely evening! The steak was delicious cooked just the way I like it and I’m very fussy! The service was friendly and efficient! The view of the mighty Clarence River is stunning!
Thank you, Jack, for welcoming us to the Tavern! I appreciated your suggestions on what I should order!

Too good not to share. Even though I selfishly want to keep this gem to myself!
Ferry ride over the Clarence was cute and short. Run's 24/7
Food was really great. I got lucky and arrived on the $12 Gourmet Burger night Tuesday. Excellent value for money and very tasty. I had the bbq pulled pork & slaw & Miss Lilly had the chicken, bacon, salad and Camembert. Both came beautifully presented with side of chips. Really friendly staff made me & my date for the night, my pup Lilly, very welcome.
There's about a dozen vans and campers here at the moment room for more maybe 2 more on the grassed area... but we are fairly spread out. 2 showers and a toilet unisex. Very clean and a book exchange -$10/night What more could you want?
I give this stop over a 10/10.
What a way to start a road trip! I'll be back on the return trip for sure.

There was a long wait for food and the premium steak was over cooked. Steak was dry and more than well done instead of medium rare. Well presented tavern.

The food never disappoints 10/10
Unfortunately, the wine was stale. When questioned the older lady behind the bar didn't want to hear it, no sorry, no replacement. Too bad so sad attitude.

Standard pub food. Unfortunately the two times we went there they left the plastic around the fillet Mignon when the cooked and served it and the pineapple on the chicken and bacon burger was slightly fermented. The Rib Fillet, although cooked to my liking had an off flavour to it which I was unable to stomach and couldn’t finish it.
The pool table is right inside from the smoking area and the door is always open so if you want to play pool, prepare for second hand smoke.

Recently dined at the Lawrence Tavern with my wife. As per usual the atmosphere was excellent and the food nice. However, I noticed a significant reduction in portion sizes of chips and veges and poor Deb who, as per usual, was on her own behind the bar was run off her feet several times during the night with up to a dozen people waiting for service. Is this a sign of the times? Sorry Luke and Bec but 8f it keeps up wife and I will be looking farther afield in future when we go to the pub for a feed.

Ordered the seafood crepe. Wow, it was sensational. Plenty of seafood and the crepe was delicious. Can’t wait to come back and enjoy another one. Lovely atmosphere and the beer is cold. Menu has plenty of choices to please everyone.

My partner and I had been shopping in grafton and instead of having lunch in town we decided to have lunch at that Lawrence Tavern.
The establishment has a great feel as you enter
Staff is friendly, welcoming and our lunches were delicious.
The service that you receive from behind the bar is a wonderful , laued back very country feel.
They have a great selection of beers on tap and in the fridge.
Wine menu would cater for everyone, from whites to fine Red wine.
I would recommend this establishment to family ,friends and tourist, it's worth the short drive to visit Lawrence tavern. 😀

Heard some good reviews from other people, we went there for lunch, trying to find a table that wasn't sticky, I think they need to be resealed. We had the calamari for starters, which was great with the flavoured coating and soy dipping sauce. Ordered the seafood basket for my main it was bland and boring, and my partner had the steak and.she only likes welldone and it came out bloody as hell.

Had heard it was good but wanted to sample first hand. Wow! it was everything I'd heard plus more. Congratulations to management and staff. Even though there were many people at the venue I still felt warmly welcomed and treated special. The food was exceptionally delicious, varied and there was nothing that was too much trouble of any staff when asked. Well done team Lawrence Tavern.......looking forward to reliving my first experience again very soon and thank you.

Great place for a stopover. $10 a night payable in the nice pub. You get showers and toilets for that and also electric hook up if close to shower block. Super quiet at night 😴

BEST meal ever. Caught the free ferry across to Lawrence, beautiful little spot, meals not pub meal prices but are restaurant quality. They do have specials at night. I drove some of the back roads back to Yamba through Tullymorgan, nice country and seen heaps of wild life. UFO house across the road. Lol.

atypical country pub that stands heads and shoulders above any I have encountered as a commercial traveller because of the outstanding food - I had barramundi that was so delicious soft and flakey I wanted to order seconds, I could rabbit on and on it was SO good - my GF had the 200 GM rump and likewise it was extraordinarily soft and perfectly medium rare pink - chef is to be congratulated if this is the top shelf menu served on a consistent basis - my capacity for superlatives pales - any how, try it for your self - RV friendly with $10 over night stay with hot showers - there isn't much room and is first come - thank you Lawrence Tavern - keep up the good work
