Yeah, it fulfils the drinking hole requirement. Is it the nicest pub? Not really, but it does the job if you want a quick beverage or two. Don’t expect anything overly great, but the prices aren’t all that bad. Will I be back? Maybe, I guess we’ll see though.

Typical suburban pub - best points are the excellent happy hour(s) and the large TAB area.
Has upgraded the inside - a pleasant place for a quiet beer.

This place makes up the rules as they go, always closing off a section at whatever times they want because they don’t want to clean. Closing would be 6am and they would close off a section at 12am. The female manager has an attitude problem and doesn’t know how to do her job. Get your rules sorted out or I will be calling OGLR.

The venue is good for hangouts but except the Korean girl manager who thinks she is the licensee. I took the food outside to the smoking area and a staff come and tell me that you cant take food outside. I immediately apologized and took food inside. But the korean lady manager come and asked me “cant you read the sign?” I said “i’m sorry. I already apologized. What do you want me to do?” She grabs my beer and food chucks it in the bin and barred me from the venue. The lady named ‘Hannah’ should be fired from there so that it can be a better place for the customers. I have heard many people talking about her as i also work in the same industry. That’s not good for being a so-called manager of the venue. She must be in a power trip.

The tap beer has trouble retaining a head and getting a cold bottle is like playing the lottery. Potential 3 stars if these 2 problems can be fixed.

The staff here are very friendly and they provide such wonderful service always with a greeting and a smile. If you're looking for a place to have a quiet drink and a conversation with the locals, then this is place for you. Come and check it out! You won't be disappointed.

RUDE SECURITY
When we visit here some security men told us how many drink we had, so we said just couple drinks of beer but he just look brazenly at my girlfriend. He told me not to go to the next place to drink even if you drank less or drank more.
We didn't drink much, and if you guys don't like it just don't accept guests. Don't preach the same thing

Respected manager of lidcombe hotel you must change your bouncer please he is out of his mind and he got lot of attitude issue he don’t know how to treat his customer and a Korean girl she always disrespect other community people please fix this soon thank you.

Really friendly and cheerful staff they have there. Quite a few pokies machines but no roulette. Nice bar for drinks and some snacks. Near to train station and at the back of the hotel is Dooley's Catholic Club.

Poor management and service
Bar staff runs on credit system. You get 1 strike each time if anything happens even for talking loud and laughing. And if you get 3 strike they wont even serve you at all.
Bartender warned me that i had 2 strike from last time from few weeks ago and wont serve me next drink.
I think lidcombe hotel should change its name to china hotel. Better suite with their terms and conditions.

Not saying hi & thank you + just didn't say anything, you shouldn't be in hospitality business. Just going here sometimes because it's closest bottle shop near me. Last time female staff was very aggressive didn't happen so far. If you see this owner, you need a serious change. Probably I'll not visit this place again, but next time will make very unpleasant scene if I treated bad again

nice staff and nice atmosphere, but the attitude of the security guy was bad.
Went there at 12/12 night around 10, the security guy treated me with a bad attitude like im an aspect, for no reason. feeling pretty disappointed about it

Last Friday night Korean staff(1girl 1 boy) treated my friends terribly. If I were their boss I would fire them for their attitude and poor service

Just like any other Korean cafe/dessert place, unique experience with that strawberry shaved ice, highly recommended!! Everyone around u may all speak Korean, that feels kinda fun!

I just want the owner of this hotel to know that there is a manager here who doesn’t know how to do a customer service.
On 29th April 2023, i am not a bit sure but maybe she is the manager, she was wearing a light brown hoodie. She rolled her eyes and her attitude was really bad. No offence but I think she needs to have some much more training towards how to be a manager and she needs to know about working in a hospitality before she serves anyone.
As i work in a hospitality i want me to be treated in a good way as well. I am kind of a regular customer here but i don’t think i am gonna go here again from now on.

I am a customer who likes to hang out at this pub. I was extremely impressed with the service provided by the staff there.
I lost my phone at the pub last night. And the staff gave me full help untill i got my phone back.
Especially Henry, the manager that day. Drove to help me and jok jok who helped me to the utmost. I am deeply touched by their kindness. If there is an opportunity, I will definitely repay them. Thank you very much from my heart.💝

How disappointing, the last few times I have been here I have had an enjoyable experience. However the Indian man acting as if he was the security guard made light of my nationality and also warned me I could only have one beer if I entered the premises. He made me feel very uncomfortable and I feel this is very unprofessional behaviour for security staff at any pub or bar.

Haven't been there, the reason for this rating is a flag hoisted there.
I have passed through the area few times and can see a torn Nepali flag. To the manager: you might've missed it but now you know. Please change the torn flag or simply take it down. Thanks.

Great place to go for a drink with friends after work cheap prices $5.50 for a schooner before 4pm $5 during happy hour 4pm - 7pm. Great staff very hospitable & take away drinks available as well also nice sports bar setup with tab just a short hop skip and jump away

Do not drink a tooheys beer on tap whatever you do.all other beers spear fine or at least fit for human consumption.i was told sorry when my beer was dead flat after two mouthful.no compensation offered for my lost money and that especially is not good considering I have a tip.go to the royal oak the other side of railway line for great beer and atmosphere as well as the best value and pub food in the area.forget the rest get the best at THE ROYAL OAK the opposite side off railway.cheers

Busy pub with a well appointed gaming room, attentive staff and clean and well maintained fixtures. Street parking available but limited.

Bad service, an uncivilised security guard. Will never go back again. Would not let me and friends in the pub, did give us any reason at all. Get rid of your security guard.
