Very nice place to go for a pub night of beers. Sometimes is busy and sometimes is quiet but the staff are always friendly and very serviceable. The food is really good too. The place looks off the area as it is set like a country pub but in North Melbourne which is weird but in a good way.

The best burger and chips I've had in a long time. I had the Louisiana fried chicken burger. It had the perfect amount of spice. It was cooked just right. And the chips were all crunchy. It was like eating the best chip in the bowl, except they were all the best chip.

The barman was clearly speeding on ice. He presented a non-stop, gabbling monologue, at a furious pace. He looked terrible - as though he hadn’t slept in days. This was a very uncomfortable situation. A young woman, who apparently knew this guy, commented to the barmaid about how speedy he was. The barmaid replied that she was really used to it, so she no longer notices it. Not good enough. I shan’t be returning to this establishment.

Recommend the hidden version of the food, the steak is better than in Crown casino. Have snooker, and tab

Love this place! Feels like home. Traditional pub. Affordable and home style meals with friendly staff. Great beer garden outside.

Lovely old pub BUT, the food from the food truck is horrendous.
Worst steak sandwich I’ve ever had. Too much sauce, wrong type of cheese (Jack cheese) and it’s served on a paper plate. Terrible.
Go for the pub, don’t order food.

Great pub - fantastic burgers!
As a north Melbourne local we love this place, an authentic Melbourne pub that hasn’t lost it’s sense of self. The walls have plenty of NM Football posters and the AFL is played on the TV but I wouldn’t call this a fotty pub. It’s simply a classic Melbourne pub that’s definitely worth a look.
They still have a traditional menu but the main menu is Easy’s burgers. It’s super tasty and great value. Everything is with trying, we love it here!!!

Great alcohol range ☺️. lovely little beer garden and, very yummy food. I had garlic prawns with rice and steamed veg 😋 and, dad had roast lamb with roast vegetables (roast potato and mashed potatoes) with mint sauce (on a Saturday.)

Do you self a favour and go to this amazing little pub for a good well priced meal and some simple drinks. You might get a bit of cheek if you ask for a craft beer though. "No craft beer no cocktails " it really give the place great character.

The food that was prepared for my party of 5 this afternoon was alarmingly beautiful. The service was immaculate. The drinks, the atmosphere and the people within this establishment may have just reassured my faith in pubs once more. I commend thee. Funf stars.

A really lovely local bar. They are few and far between. Amazing staff they make ya feel like part of the whanau (family) The food cooked to perfection 🥰 💞 👌 😋 😍 Thanks for your hospitality Sammy and staff. We will be back!!!

A little slice of country style paradise just a stones throw away from the CBD.
Very refreshing!
Definitely go back for a few ales, quiet conversation and quick game of stick.

A great pub with no airs and graces, just good old fashion Aussie pub service and great tasting pub grub!
Prices are reasonable and the service fast and efficient. Menu changes regularly, but still retains the crowd favorites!
You won't be disappointed!

20% surchage of public holidays even though "holiday loadings" are no longer paid ?
And why does the 20% apply to the whole meal and not just the labour content ? Does the bread, mayo or power cost more on a public holiday ?
