We went to Lonestar Tavern several times over the years and I was always very happy with it, so we decided to re-visit.
This time things are not the same: my little one had a fly in her kids meal. But I thought accidents happen and I won’t mention it . This morning we went to have breakfast and I was simply disappointed and shocked. They are clearly short on staff, but the whole place has declined significantly. The tables are dirty and aren’t being wiped, even removing the dishes after the previous customers take a long time. Food isn’t being replenished as it’s being consumed and the whole food station was extremely dirty and wasn’t cleaned . Quality of food is certainly not what I remember from my previous visits. Fresh fruit assortiment is quite limited and hot food is full of low quality oil. No fried/boiled or poached eggs . Not mentioning demotivated staff. I think in the past breakfast was $25 flat rate and it was amazing. Now it’s $10 for kids and $20 for adults and quality is just not acceptable. I am very sad that I’ve picked “breakfast included” option with my stay. I asked one of staff members and they said that ownership of this place hasn’t changed since I was here last time, so it’s just a matter of changing the management, I guess.
Please, make this place great again, charge higher prices , if needed.

Went here for a birthday dinner. Service was horrible. Cake was placed on the table with no plates no nothing just thrown there. Asked employees for candles to be lit employees did not fulfill request. Horrible experience

Went for dinner. Tables were dirty and no one attempted to clean them at all. They forgot one of our drinks that we ordered on the app. Food was below standard for an pub. Wouldn't return in a hurry.

We had seniors meals today at the Lone Star. My husband had the rissoles 👍
I had the chicken snitzel. Everything was great EXCEPT the salad. Lettuce mix, shredded cabbage and a wedge of tomato. Compared to a lot of places it was probably a tiny bit better but I will NEVER understand how a salad can be a mix of lettuces (mostly unpleasant lettuces) and half a cherry tomato.
A salad is a MIX of items, lettuce, tomato, grated carrot, grated beetroot, cucumber, sliced onion.
Other than that we enjoyed our meal. The service was fast and pleasant.
The tables were clean and the rest rooms were also very clean. We will return.

We had dinner here tonight, and I had the famous pie and my partner had the chicken and mushroom pasta. Both meals were so tasty. All the staff were so friendly. We'll definitely be back :)

We had a wonderful time at the Tavern, the food was delicious and the service was friendly. The next time we stay at the hotel, we will definitely come back to the Tavern!

Visited on Thursday April 4 @5:20pm. Our group of three ordered eye fillet, full rib rack & beef burger. Food was average pub grub. Customer service ain't there, place your orders on your phone & asked for tap water on arrival of meals and was denied by a waiter whom didn't seem like he wanted to be there. We were told he is not supposed to offer tap water & we had to order on the app (only option was $5 mount Franklin). It's a RSA licensed pub surely tap water must be provided to patrons which we found yourself when approaching the bar. At least the second waiter clearing our table was much more friendly. Wasn't a pleasant experience for our first time at lonestar

Visited Lonestar Tavern for the first time, staff behind behind the bar were not very pleasant. Not very welcoming in our approach to the venue, a smile goes a long way as this is the hospitality industry. You want your patrons to feel welcomed. Upon having to walk around the venue to try find what time service starts in the restaurant aswell I don’t believe should be so hard, ending up having to walk to the bar and ask. Could be advertised on tables or when you do walk in for the meet and greet? I think opening at 12pm on a weekend day is a massive downfall especially with functions on. Wooden caddies are also very dirty left with rubbish from previous days. After all I think the lady in the bar ( blonde with tattoos ) needs to work on her customer service, most likely been here for awhile but still that doesn’t mean the service should be under par.

The steaks here are consistently amongst the best of pretty much any Gold Coast pub, and they have a great semi-outdoor/beer garden type area with a big projector screen for the footy. Staff are great too!

The food portion was very generous. Quality of beef was excellent for the ribeye fillet 300g

Staying at the hotel. Firstly I ordered a medium rare steak, this arrived well done. I had a free drink voucher included in room, ordered the same wine I ordered with my meal and was told that wasn’t included. When I explained I did not was it I was met with rudeness and the wine was that terrible I poured it down the sink.

Ordered stake medium & received rare, informed staff they reheat the same stake and returned it was still undercooked. Drinks took 30 minutes to arrive over QR

One of the best meals I’ve ever eaten in QLD and indeed complimented the chef and kitchen staff!!!!! Bar staff are welcoming and friendly and we felt comfortable and welcoming.

My wife and I were Craving a nice pub meal, however i have to say this was a disappointing experience. The seasonal vegies are just boiled or steamed, made them blend in flavor and tough in texture.. The roast of the day was really dry unfortunately. and would of been kind of forgivable if they actually gave us enough gravy to stomach it. However they were on the tight side with that too. When i asked for a little more to finish my meal, they try to sting me another $2 for a tiny portion of Gravy..... The schnitzel was also wasn't great. i think they buy it frozen and just re heat it. was expecting nice roast golden potatoes, but tasted like they been under a heat lamp for 6 hours. Very dry and unpleasant. don't see myself here again anytime soon unfortunately.

My partner’s burger was not cooked through, and it was cold….
The pool table is hilarious. Asked if there was a brush, however the lovely young lady “didn’t know it was a thing”.
The Caesar salad was fine….

I havent had any food or drinks here but the atmosphere was very nice, and the area that i did experience was awesome to have a wedding at.

I haven't been here for a few years, probably won't rush back. Average parmy, 15 minute wait on beers, missing a bit of the order and staffed seemed rushed. It wasn't bad, but wasn't great.

I got the Angus Beef Burger and it was Dreamy! Real Beef!! Fresh Buns!! Awesome burger sauce and made with love. I’ll be back. 10/10

Great food mains where beautiful as where desserts my kids loved the kids area as well witch made it easy for me and my partner to eat the kids menu was great had alot to offer as well

From the moment my partner and I walked in, we were greeted at the bar by Cooper, who gave us a great recommendation for dinner which was the rump steak. It was brilliant and Coopers service was second to none. What an astonishing gentleman and venue. Thank you for a good meal. Gracias

Food was average. The wait for food was over half an hour, then when it did come there was no acknowledgment of the wait, and the last meal to come out was another 5 minutes. Pram/wheelchair accessibility wasn’t great

Excellent really well priced meals with humongous portions I had the chicken parmigiana and it was like a perfect classic pub style meal delicious perfectly cooked and well presented the staff were professional and everything was excellent

Comfortable everywhere and baths in most rooms !! Great !! Parking excellent, including a large bus. Convenient for mist Gold Coast venues

Amazing professional staff who actually are attentive & listen to their customer needs. Meal was so big, was offered a container for take home doggies bag. Love your work team!
