Went for Fathers Day, got the chefs special mixed grill Absolutely a winner! Lucky star delivering the goods! Highly recommend. The staff are super friendly and the food is good!

We have been coming to Lucky Star Tavern for years. An this is the 2nd time we have been here this month. We spent over $200 for my families meals.
I ordered a 400gram rump steak, an it was well done. I ordered Medium. When you’re paying nearly $40 for this meal, you expect a quality meal.
I’m really disappointed as this has happened twice in 1 month an will be taking my family somewhere else.

Wasn't happy with the fish meal. Was supposed to be lunch special Barramundi. Looked and Tasted Cheap and Nasty .. But the staff went out of her way to amend . She was amazing about it and apologetic .. Refunded thankyou . My son's chicken schnitzel was dry and my friends was okay

Visited Tavern to celebrate friends birthday. Staff were beautiful and extremely helpful. Great service. Food was delicious. Can’t speak highly enough of the staff. Well done and thank you.

Tom was friendly and patient on the phone and when ordering, food came out quick and was cooked well, garlic bread was great and had plenty of garlic butter, chicken parmi with Mexican topper was also great.

Thursday 2nd May
The place looks amazing, now the renovations are completed. The food was delicious and the servings are generous. Most staff were polite, friendly and accommodating.
The reason why I didn't give it 5 stars is because, firstly, the younger girl who was working the till, taking our orders, was quite blunt and did not smile once. She came across like she didn't want to be there and didn't want to take our orders. Secondly when my friend returned to our table from checking our keno ticket, in the pokies area, he said he was appalled by the guy serving in there. He said the guy was being very abrupt with a lady asking him for help with a person playing 2 machines at once. Firstly he told her he was too busy, while holding a cup of coffee in his hand and then he used the F word at least twice, that my friend heard, when the lady said "it will only take a second". The pokies area was not that busy and my friend was the only other person lined up for service. Maybe some customer service training is needed for some staff because other than that, it is a beautiful venue.

This place is a Hidden Gem - we have been coming here for years - food has always been lovely, - plated up well, and a decent size , they CARE about what they serve you here - great chef and kitchen staff -
The floor and bar staff are all super friendly, always happy and nothing is ever a bother to them. - Atmosphere is very modern , pleasant and relaxing - nice to sit outside also on the covered verandah with all the hanging plants , fans and the new renovations . Definitely a Great place to catch up with family or friends - they actually have a seperate function room for special occasions.
They do daily specials for lunch and dinner ( super cheap ) and an extensive everyday menu at reasonable prices (our fav’s are the slow cooked lamb shanks , fall off the bone ribs , tender pork cutlet and the Reef n Beef :) and you’ve got to get one or two of their stone baked cheese and garlic pizza’s to share with your meals YUMMMMO they’re the bomb !!!!!!!

The Rump steak tastes nice. However it is not tender at all. If you like tender steak might want to try rib fillet or something else. Very good portion and love the mushroom sauce. Didn’t know where to order and the menu wasn’t given to us. Finally figured it out what to do. Overall experience is good. Might try something else on the menu next time.

Thank you to the servers, kitchen staff and waiters who worked Wednesday night (03/04/24) between 6:30pm-8:30pm.
My family and I attended Lucky Star Tavern to celebrate my stepfathers birthday and we thoroughly enjoyed our evening. The renovations looked amazing as I hadnt been back for over 2 years, the food was delicious and the staff were very friendly and welcoming.
Thank you to the kiwi brother chef who was very kind to my son and for making him feel special with your kind gesture.
Thank you to the group of staff who went above and beyond for us when they delivered the birthday cake to our table whilst singing holding a balloon lol! My stepdad is a very sensitive and emotional man and I know he would've really appreciated that and felt the aroha strong so thank you to the staff who worked this night.
I've not experienced service like this in a long time so it was very refreshing to have been served and looked after so well tonight so well done to all!
My family and I look forward to many more lunches and dinners at your establishment.

Our little Gem!!
The staff are always nice and friendly.
The meals are tasty, great size and very reasonably priced.
You can sit inside or ourside to eat, drink and or socialise.
You can have a flutter on the horses or dog, put on a keno or even put a $ or 2 in the pokes.
Just an all-round fantastic place to come and relax with friends and family.

Nicely decorated, light atmosphere with friendly staff. Very delicious meal, one of the best steaks I've had. Reasonably priced. Thank you Brisbane for your reviews, it helped me find this place.

Newly renovated and fresh atmosphere but sadly food is mediocre and too salty in general. Staffing was lacking with no follow up service ie no clearing of plates after main meal. Our group who dined there had plates piled up!

My Kids wanted to have a steak meal this evening. Our restaurant of choice was closed on a Wednesday. A quick Google search for a steak meal brought up Lucky Star Tavern.
What a lucky find....
The steak meal was gorgeous and the kids loved it. The atmosphere was top notch.
We will be back again to taste other meals.
A special mention for the lovely staff who are on the go all the time.....

I have been coming here for 4 years already
Recently I've found there more lovely staff, one called Bianca impressing me a lot.
She is extremely caring. She just served me the first time and she could remember my preference.
And she kept an eye on every customer what's they need and I could see her very efficient and professional. Always smile on her face.
She's definitely an asset of lucky star tavern

Just like to feedback on Saturday 14th January 2024. Did not book and ended up bringing a few friends. Staff were very accommodating in particular Cameron. Having been to Lucky Star prior to their renovations, during and post have found, it seems to me, to be less seating and less food. Which was sad! However appreciate the times we are living in.
Main motivation to write a review was the assistance by Cameron.
To add. I had the chicken caesar salad.

Had the lunch special and it was large size and well priced. The fish was bit too oily but the coleslaw was refreshing. The parmi was nice as well. Was hoping to have the seafood basket, however, new menu in place.

Great value for money in terms of portion size per dish. The dishes are reasonably priced and great for taking your family. The staff are very polite and approachable. Spent a little bit time waiting for meals but it was a busy day so it is expected. Some meals were tastier than others but good decent piping hot meals you would expect at a pub. Definitely come back for a meal for sure.

Great suburban hotel. Has a gaming room full of pokies. The bar is small however they are currently renovating so will be bigger. Really love eating out on the patio. Another great lunch. The renovations look amazing. Lots of parking.

Great place for beer and food with friends or family. Kind of Aussie feeling pub. Parking close by. Huge dining area. Reasonable prices and offers. Super friendly staff

Great little place. We came 15 minutes before the kitchen closed (apologies!!) but the food was still cooked to perfection, I could see the chef from where I was seated and he didn’t even seem bothered by us placing an order.
Parmi was $12 and a GREAT size! I think it should be $20+ for the size.
The frozen cocktail was great too, a bit on the strong side but only $9.
$51 all up for 2 meals, 2 cokes AND a cocktail, great price!

Dinner for walking group. 23 people. A good night in the function room. The Tavern has been recently renovated which is really nice.

A friend introduced me to Lucky Star, it's a smaller no frills type of tavern. The food was a pleasant surprise and the price was great, 2for1 steaks on Tuesday night. They have other specials during the week, so will definitely go back again.
