Went for dinner while passing through; Cobb loaf entree was lovely, but when our mains came out there was a mix up, and my partner's order was put down as a more expensive item. We let our server know, but we weren't too fussed because it looked really good anyway. Our server Ethan though, he bent over backwards to fix it! Ordered the correct item, gave us a refund for the difference, even brought a yummy bowl of chips over for my partner so he didn't go hungry in the meantime! You could tell how much he cared. We could see him constantly checking with the chefs if the pie was ready yet and once it was he flew it over to us.
Honestly it was one of the best experiences- we're all human and accidents happen but it's when they do that you see how good a place really is. And this place was impeccable plus the food was homely, well priced and absolutely delicious!👌 Will 11/10 be back again if we can. 💯

We had our Mothers bday in the back room last night in was freezing no heater. Not good for older people . Tea was not that impressive, Staff where not friendly only one lady was cannot remember her name . Sorry want be coming back .

Website said food available till 8:30 arrived at 8:08 and was told kitchen closes at 8:00 staff adamant I’m wrong till I showed where on webpage it showed times, cooks still preparing food but they wouldn’t take my singular order even after I explained I walked there as in town for work and couldn’t drive work vehicle due to work diary conditions and would now have to walk 15mins to next nearest place still open

Was not happy at all with the new manager at the pub that I was going to for over 40 years apparently the 2 children chicken parmar’s that I get cut up for my disability people I take out every Thursday night for the past five years is to much trouble for the cooks to do .i wish cork never had to retire as he always went over and above as all his staff did as well .Each week we would go their and spend between $150 to $170 a week .It very sad that we had to find another place to feel that they cared enough.

Very disappointing lunch catch-up with long missed family. Didn't expect 5 star, but thought it should have been better than it was. There's better eating in Warrnambool, surely?

Very cosy feel to the space, quiet, ambient noise doesnt bounce off the walls.
Had the Porterhouse. One of the best well cooked steaks ive had (Med/well done). Highly recommended. Family friendly.

This venue has the best service, the food is great and they are very accommodating when we go there. This is a family run business and every time we drop by they always remember us and treat us like family…we live a long distance away!!! Thanks Corky and Ethan we love you guys

The food was pretty good but very small portions, and i mean small... atmosphere is a very old crowd

Not greeted when walked in. When the staff were finished chit chatting and laughing behind the bar was told rudely and hastily "Just pick a table already" Service from then on was sub par. Always had a more positive experience when Ethan and Cork were around.

I've driven 300km to visit Warrnambool, so I decided to stop & have lunch here.
It was one of the best 3 courses that I've ever had.
1. The Cobb Loaf with garlic just melted in your mouth.
2. I had the simple meal of bangers & mash with chips & gravy too, & although a simple meal, it's easy to stuff it up.
They didn't by any means, it was awesome.
3. To finish of, I had the sticky date pudding. This was to die for.
This bistro is worth stopping at Anytime. I'd give 10 stars if it was available.

Ive come here a lot, and I just love their food! I adore their desserts and their roasts. It's just too good! The owner of Macey's, thank you for having such a kind and amazing bistro! I'm glad Macey's is in Warrnambool :)

Have been about 10 times now with my partner and his family. Usually get seniors and it is pretty good but last time I went, had the chicken snitzel, salad and chips and it wasn't as good: snitzel over cooked, chips warm, salad not fresh. Partners family live in Warrnambool so will definitely go again. Great atmosphere and staff very friendly

Had dinner at Macey's bistro on a Wednesday night, the meal was very nice.
I had Chicken Schnitzel with chips and Vegetables, the service was good.
The staff friendly and helpful.
I have been here a number of times when visiting from Melbourne for a meal and have always enjoyed it.
Played Keno while having my meal as I was dining alone.

Got the mushroom Parma and the chicken still had a pink tinge to it don't no if I was just being fussy but got put off from eating the meal ended up just eating the chips and veg when I said something they said it looked fine could just be me but I want my chicken a nice white probably will be going elsewhere alot better meals around seems like there trying to hard to make the place something it's not and could only laugh at people getting confused on were to line up to order when you hafta to wait for the people in front of you to get their desert when you just want to order dinner should be different stations instead of the ice cream machine blocking the way..

Excellent service.
Had around 18 turn up with no booking and they were able to accommodate without a fuss.
Great value meals including the Parma I had and plenty of parking.
Went back again the next night for rump steak

Everything we ordered was excellent. Roast pork, 3 schnitzels, parma and the dessert bar. Self serve ice cream with toppings was yum and the sticky date pudding was enjoyed by everyone. The prices are amazing. For $8 the children’s schnitzel was huge.

Classic Australian family bistro! The value for money is amazing - not many places have prices like this anymore. Kids meals $8! We were a large party and a couple of meals were misplaced but this was quickly rectified and compensated - amazing service! We will back next time we visit lovely Warrnambool

Came here for dinner recently and was a little disappointed to find that the buffet was no longer a thing, and was a litttle disappointed with the size of the beef Schnitzel. All though it was very tasty it left me hungry. Still has amazing coustmer service, second to none. The winner tonight was the chicken kiev, and it was good to hear that the lasagne was the same old buffet one they used to serve. Oh and where's the chocolate moose, you have to get that back in the desert bar again.
Greatservice, staff who really care for the locals. Great steaks too,

Came for lunch to try the new menu launch.
Disappointed isn’t even the word.
What used to be our go to place has turned into somewhere we will never come back to.
Our steaks were overdone and we had no dressing on our already dry plain salad. My mother’s vegetables were cold. My father’s fish and chips were soggy there was more batter than actual fish.
When we asked for our usual side of hollandaise with our steaks we were told “we don’t do that anymore and it only comes with certain meals”WELL that certain meal didn’t even have hollandaise with it! I’m assuming you just don’t have hollandaise anymore. I’m not sure what’s hard about pouring some into a ramekin but funny enough last week before the new menu we got our usual side of hollandaise just fine.
When the manager came to collect our plates he didn’t even ask how our meals were let alone utter a single word at us. Gosh we will miss cork and Ethan terribly.
I will thank Lorraine for always being her beautiful bubbly self she’s always been amazing.
We gave this place the benefit of the doubt hoping it would be still great but we were let down.

All though the food wasn't great, the customer service was amazing. Thank you to the guy worker who offered to drive us home when the taxi took so long to pick us up. We were about to climb into his car when the taxi pulled up.

Absolutely delicious food. We tried most of their dishes and all of them were perfect. To wrap it up the sticky date was awesome with the tea. Thank you guys ✌🏼
