We organised a birthday party on the venue one evening here at the Gold House. Kath and her team took the event to the next level. The food was magnificent, the staff treated us like family, they opened their hearts to make sure we were comfortable, fed and entertained. The place is great, but the staff under the leadership of Kath makes this a venue of next level magnitude. Thank you team Golf Club. You are amazing. We wish to give you a seven star if we could.

We had the pleasure of DJing for a couple's wedding at the Mackay Golf Club yesterday..
I wish we could give more stars!
All of the staff were a delight to deal with from the time we loaded in until we bumped out at midnight last night!
The food was excellent, they worked with all of the vendors brilliantly to make the couple's day the best it could be!
Nothing was too hard for Kath and her team, all of who are bloody awesome!! 11/10! (and see see different venues every week!)

We had a great day out. The course was in great condition and well maintained. We had a couple of beginners and a couple of groups hit through, and were respectful and patient with us.

Very pricy but a well kept course. Beers were just given in bottles with no ice or eski like most other courses give it. No snack cart or place to buy something to eat when I was there on a Sunday. The cart was clean but the GPS/range finder was snapped off and hanging by the wires but the screen was damaged anyway.
Other then that it's a good course to have a hit around.

This is purely feedback to the club, as a visitor I felt that $62 (including pull buggy) for $18 holes was very expensive for a club course. Given 3 greens were out of play and it was preferred lie throughout the course, maybe the board should consider reducing fees when renovations are taking place. Otherwise had a great day with 2 locals and the pro was great.

Really enjoyed the course and the wonderful welcome from the members.
Well stocked pro-shop and very accommodating staff
The course was in wonderful condition
Looking forward to returning to playing again

Nice golf course. A bit of water and sand traps but pretty flat.

Mackay was my 65th course I've played and I was very happy with this course. The layout was awesome. The course was beautiful. The bunkers were pure and the greens rolled smooth and above average speed. I absolutely loved it. I'd happily put it in my top 10. Similar course to Redcliffe, redland bay, wynuum in Brisbane. Some holes weren't to long but weren't dead straight boring holes. Highly recommend this course if you're in the area over any of the others. Staff behind the counter were super friendly too.

I booked out Mackay Golf Club's function room for Pioneer High's formal this year. Cassia and Kathy were amazing! They were so helpful with any request I had, the food was delicious and the service so friendly. The venue was perfect, students and their families were able to take beautiful photos around the course and the function room was set up wonderfully. Thank you so much for making this a memorable night for staff, students and their families. Highly recommend! :)

Great staff in the pro shop, course always in good condition, beers are cold after, good local course comes highly recommended!

Great course in excellent condition. The bunkers had plenty of sand (and that is speaking from experience after finding 7 of them).
The greens have plenty of undulations making the a challenge.
Pro shop staff were friendly as were the bar staff. I would highly recommend this course.
Didn't give it 5 stars as I hit too many trees!

Great course and friendly staff. Just taken up golf this year and been getting lessons with local pro Elliot. Highly recommended - super knowledgeable, easy to understand and patient! Decided to get new clubs fitted through these guys as well because they take the time to really help you out and offer competitive pricing.

Golf course always in a good condition. Good pro shop and excellent pricing. Better to play if going in a golf buggy as most players don't walk. Can create a feeling of being rushed.

Excellent golf course, well maintained and laid out and Geoff, the professional is fantastic. I'd highly recommend this club to anyone, it's a great course and excellent value

Don't play golf. Just went for a drink at the bar and Chloe was excellent. Friendly, cheerful and good to talk to. Beautiful grounds.

Don't bother playing on a Sunday. They don't bother with booking tee times and just funnel as many players as they can on both the 1st and 10th tees all day. They even let groups of 5 or 6 play which makes for a very slow game. The course was nice but we didn't get to play it all, as we had to skip several holes to try to get past several large slow groups who had no idea about letting faster groups play through. Vfrustrating

A lovely course with quite a few challenging holes. The fairways and greens are really well maintained and there are plenty of ball washers that are filled with fresh soapy water, a real surprise and a reflection of the attention to detail at the course. I also found the bunkers well maintained and they were a pleasure to hit out of. Staff were friendly and welcoming and the whole experience was a credit to all involved. Despite the Golf God winning on the day, I highly recommend the course to travelling golfers.

Absolutely fabulous course in A1 condition. Pro shop staff friendly and helpful. Will definitely drop by again.
Pro shop team only outdone by bar staff who were incredible.
