Went there tonight for valentines and we both got the roast lamb ($18 each). Bit disappointed as there was no mint sauce or jelly, no bread roll/butter and the vegetables had literally been boiled to an inch of their life which meant absolutely no flavour! We have eaten here many times over the years, but this was the worst meal we have been served there.

We had our wedding reception outside in the Marquee on 22nd July 2023.
Debbie Elms the Function Co-ordinator was amazing, she made it so easy for us and had plenty of options when it came to choosing exactly what type of food we wanted.
The staff that worked in the bar and served our food were polite and lovely to everyone of our guests. They even helpe with packing everything up at the end of the night and had it all ready when I came to pick it up the next day.

We are considering moving to the Northern Beaches area and popped into the Club for a look around and lunch. We were warmly greeted on arrival by a very friendly lady at reception. Fantastic personality and a great "first impression". Through to the Bistro for lunch. Unfortunately no plant-based menu items but they were more than happy to provide a "meatless" roast. Got the feeling that we could have asked for any menu item sans meat, fish or dairy and that would have been just fine with them. Once again extremely friendly. Wandered through to the other bar for a look and espied the wee cakes! Well, had to have one! We were "talked into" the coffee and cake deal - at 8.00, an absolute steal! Most delicious end to our visit. Let's hope our Northern Beaches house-hunt is successful as would love this place to be our "local". Fabulous!

Wasn’t great, asked for table away from kids area. We were right beside it. Parents seated near bar, kids throwing up. Meal was good.

Tiarna, one of the bar tenders at this club was absolutely outstanding with her customer service. She served us exactly what we wanted with no hesitation, and it was so appreciated so late at night. Loved the service, location and brilliant customer service! Thank you so much Tiarna and the Northern Beaches Crew 😁❤️😍💛

The food was amazing, the best prawn and mango salad ever. Not too noisy. Good atmosphere. Service was good.

The best lunch meal we've had in 5 months and all for $15.90. Staff are wonderful and there is a courtesy bus to get you there and home

Seafood platter for one. Appaling. Warm Prawns from sitting under a warmer for God knows how long. Heads on, vein in. Warm natural oysters from the same heat source. My mate's kilpatrick pair came out late. Pretty sure they were tinned in a doctored up she'll. Really bad, verged on inedible. Dried up calamari overcooked and chewy. Topped off with packet, pasty Nile perch, really really bad. In a seaside town where fresh seafood should be easily sourced. Head elsewhere people. Other meals looked way below par also. This was no fluke. Saturday night. No idea.

Our family have had several parties and major eventd at the Northern Beaches Bowls Club and the staff have always gone above and beyond. We recently had our Engagement party and than our Wedding ceremony and Reception on the deck and hired a marquee from fiesta rentals.
The service, food and atmosphere is amazing

Most popping place in Mackay! It's all going on! With all ages of people! Really enjoyed our dinner and the different areas to enjoy a drink. Staff were happy and fun with great service. Can't wait to come back soon!

Linda the head chef cooked an amazing steak and was so accomadating this is the best meal ive had in mackay in a long time.
And rhonda was amazing behind the bar. I would highly recommed this place for the relaxed atmosphere. The staff are loverly and the food is so tasty!!

I like a venue that supports live music and not just the pokies. Don't think I've ever had a bad meal there. Today I'm at the Sunday morning buffet breakfast. Staff are friendlier this time around.

Had dinner last night I had the battered fish which was awful half cooked and watery chips were OK my husband had roast also terrible think because it was so busy but that no excuse won't be back sorry

Had a seafood platter for 2 yesterday 14 May, it appears all the leftovers from mothers day were dished up on the day.
Oysters were rinsed in very salty water, the crab must have been on the way out deep fried to camouflage the taste which turned into mush. Very disappointed for my birthday meal.

Had a meal here on the 6/9/23 with my elderly parents visiting from the UK.
To say the food was average would be an understatement.
Very very very poor.... Still the refrigerated red wine is always a bonus!😂

Great venue! The staff are very friendly and happy. Cold beer and the food in the bistro was on point and great value.
We had a work function out on the back and the marquee has a separate bar, stage for a band and a huge lawn area.

Great club and atmosphere everyone I've met here are great, All the staff there are friendly and will go out of their way to help. The food in the bistro was great, Yesterday had a crumbed steak sandwich so good best I've ever had. The beers are good value for money. All around, it's one of the best clubs I've been to in Mackay by far. I highly recommend this Bowling club. Courtesy bus is great

Food/food portions are good, but there's MOLD near both the vent and aircons - as well as a hole in the ceiling. Service is decent, majority of staff are friendly and welcoming.

Family friendly, kids playground is great. Keeps the kids busy 😊 and you can see your kids from the restaurant, which is great for parents. Staff are friendly and it's now our new local pub.

Disappointed , waited far to long for a simple pizza. My meal came quickly , hubby had to wait ages. If we were told that it was going to be that long, he would have ordered something else . Not the place it used to be.

Both my meal (roast pork and vegetables) and my husband's (steak and vegetables) were excellent and very filling. The downside, the table still had crumbs on it and the seat had a lot of crumbs. The staff member taking our order and serving the meal was extremely pleasant

Beautiful meal we had ! Never thought that Spaghetti Bolognese & Mud Cake could be so fantastic 😍 Unreal birthday meal. Awesome 👍

Always incredible service, staff have been wonderful for the last 3 years that I’ve been coming, make the effort to get to know you and make you feel welcome, every regular worker for this period has been incredible, I will always love coming strictly because the staff is just beautiful, always going to be sending people over and bringing people in, never stray from the bowlsy!
