Wonderful service in the sports bar today by Maryanne (Mez). Run off her feet but very accommodating towards us and making sure our steaks were cooked to our liking.
Great to see someone with excellent customer service even tho they are on own during lunch rush.

We recently dined here after a not so great experience a couple of months ago and found this visit fantastic. Thanks to Tess who went above and beyond took our booking just before service and the dining staff. The meals were excellent & hit the spot.

We ordered using their QR code system and food began coming out before the drinks arrived. We even asked the staff where they were, and the response was "They are coming". The food was great. Overall, would recommend lining up at the bar to get drinks and either lining up to order food or just ordering food through the QR code.

Went to watch the footy and have some dinner.
Mez was a champion, rushed off her feet but still gave top notch service.

Went on Monday night without booking, it took a little bit while to get seated while it’s not busy at the time. The food is not bad, it’s served faster than expected, probably because there are not many customers. In all it is not a bad pub in melton.

Went for dinner the other night, and must say food was fantastic, the customer service from Chelle was exceptional, great place to take the fam. Highly recommend and definitely will be back !

This is a really good pub. Food is well cooked and is good value for money. The staff are very friendly and efficient. Staff member Samantha looked after us well and took a photo of me and my parents. We will be back.

The lady that I asked her name which is Maryanne, she wears pink rimmed glasses went above and beyond. I’m disabled and she made me feel so welcome and told me that if I need anything just get her attention and she would help. I’ve never had such amazing service. Maryanne made me feel so welcome and that anything I asked help with was never a problem. Maryanne was run off her feet yet made time to help me thank you Maryanne. You made my day.

Thanks to Macs Hotel for bringing back the Christmas Day Lunch Buffet. This menu is amazing and we had the best time and can't wait to do it all again in 2023. Great value for money. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Stop here while waiting for a wedding, came just before she kitchen was going to close and good old Mark the chef made us 5 amazing meals that were delish, everything came out very quickly and the staff were amazing!! 👰🏻♀️🤵🏻♂️

Service was terrible, the waitress forgot to bring my food, after serving the rest of my party. She said she would bring a fresh meal, but when she brought it out it was cold and obviously hadn't been remade as promised. Six out of a party of six agreed the food was terrible. The only thing they got right was the drinks. Won't be going back.

Loving the SportsBar menu its tasty and excellent value! Only let down by Reeaaaalllyyy long wait times from the kitchen. Like REALLY long. I gotta get back to work and most of my lunch break is over by the time the meal arrives.
The staff are nice and friendly too.
Essentially no atmosphere as its a gambling pub so it's a plain room focused on TVs with racing for betting. Ignore that and its a good lunch venue

Last minute drop in. Just squeezed us in before kitchen closed. Atmosphere was quiet… but it was very late.

I went here for the vegetarian lasagna & I’m coming back for it again. I saw they had a vegetarian lasagna on the menu & it didn’t disappoint. A great variety of vegetables, perfectly cooked & delicious. I loved that an option between 2 sides (salad, vegetables, mash, salad) exists so it’s not just chips & a salad if you’re more for mash & roast veggies.
Quick service, seemed lively for a weekday too. Their cocktail menu is also quite affordable & varied which I’m excited to go back to try. If you are vegetarian too I’d recommend giving them a go as they’re willing to change items & you can get stirfries with your choice of sauce too which is nice. In conclusion give Mac’s a go & I’d recommend their vegetarian lasagna.

We arrived at Mac’s Hotel at approximately 8:25 pm, waiting to be seated while it was not busy at all . The lady that greeted us was rude instead of saying “hello, how are you?” she went straight into letting us know that we needed to be quick to order because the kitchen was closing soon. I have history and experience in hospitality and I would never provide this kind of customer service to anyone. I had to calm my self because my kids were around at the time . When we ordered our meals, because the senior meals are a good portion, we we’re asked rudely if we had Senior Cards, and hence forced to pay for bigger meals which then went to waste. As we we’re just having our meals, the same male staff member that took our order, walked up to us, and said we have to be quick before 9:30PM as there is a strict rule about no kids being in the venue. I understand this completely, however, we we’re just enjoying our dinner, yet we had another 30min to finish up and go. When we also ordered our drinks at the bar, the female staff member that served us appeared to want us to leave by the way she served our drinks. No smile and not friendly at all, we felt like we we’re a burden. I’m hoping the owner reads this FEEDBACK! You are definitely going to lose customers if you allow this behaviour and bad customer service to continue with this type of staff. We were so disappointed and will never go back to this place again. Disgusting staff, we hope one day you get served by someone like yourself.

Had a lovely dinner and drinks at the Macs recently. Was especially impressed with our waitress, Katelyn, she was kind and her customer service was amazing! Thanks to the Macs for a great meal.

Food was amazing I stuffed my order up and the lovely staff and chef got me what I wanted, I would recommend the max bistro to any one, thanks again for a beautiful lunch. 🥗

Family loves Mac’s hotel. Kids love the indoor playground.. service amazing.. perfect pub food!!!

Compliments to Chef Mark. The food was delicious! Steaks were perfectly good. We frequent many ALH hotels in Victoria and can vouch that this is one of the best in the state. The service by the wait staff is always pleasant. Thank you ladies!

Chicken Caeser salad is my go to! Always fresh and loaded with toppings. Big portion aswell. The vibes in the bistro and sports bar are always good, servers always with a smile on their face and very kind to everyone.
Nicolas is always a pleasure to have a chat and joke with.
Very kid friendly and family orientated
If you can fit it in, must try the desserts! Always a good way to finish a meal,
Samantha in particular makes them look beautiful and is very proud when serving!

Came here for lunch today with some friends. Absolutely amazing on all counts. 5⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ across the board. I had the slow cooked lamb shanks with mash potato, gravy and peas. A hearty meal. Meat was cooked to perfection ... literally falling off the bone. When lunch was served I was pleasantly surprised at the portion size of each meal, not one lamb shank but two ... 100% value for money. We had and amazing day all round. Nice cosy atmosphere, Just the kind of vibe to enjoy a catchup and laughter with friends. Delicious food, served with minimal waiting time and friendly staff whose service was second to none. It was an awesome experience. I would highly recommend this place to eat if like me, you enjoy hearty food a warm atmosphere and excellent customer service. Thank you Mac's Hotel & staff for an awesome experience. Keep up the good work. Will definitely be back 👍

Be warned that they have a huge servings here. We are repeated customers here. But, this time the stirred fry beef is not as good as before, it may be depends on who cooked the meal. The reviews are in each photos I have posted.

Always enjoy our meals at Mac’s. The chicken Kiev and fish in chips are our “go to” meals.
Great service from the time we check in to the time we leave. Meals arrive promptly and table and bar service is excellent.
