Went for lunch. Had a beautiful meal. It was hot an delicious. Staff so friendly an service perfect. Love the atmosphere.

We had lunch there Sunday and it was very busy. Staff were so attentive and the food was delicious. Great seeing the menu has been updated and there are no dishes to try. Thank you.

We arranged to meet close friends for lunch and thought we would book a booth as they are more spacious (as we have a couple of times before), not thinking that we would be seated away from the restaurant and patrons, near the back and next to the toilets. We had to wait quite some time before someone came to take our order, and nobody came to ask us how our food was during the meal. We had to ask for someone to come clear the table and take our dessert order. We ordered coffees with our dessert, but they never came and we had to ask where the coffees were. They eventually arrived long after we had finished our dessert. When the booking was made we were asked if it was a special occassion and we said it was for a special birthday, but there was nothing special arranged; why ask the question then? We have eaten here many times before, sat in the restaurant section where the ambiance and service were fantastic, today it just wasn't there. Very disappointing indeed.

Very warm and cosy atmosphere a great intimate dining experience without distractions of noisy pokey machines or excessive loud chatter due to good old fashioned carpeting 😁

This was a relaxed and wonderful experience. Table service in a pub! Tick. An extensive seniors menu including Silverside. Tick. I had a roast with vegetables that included green beans. Tick. Dessert was delicious and was large enough to be shared. Staff were friendly and helpful. I will go again.

The manager (i think he is) is always very friendly and welcoming, along with the other staff. We were given a free jug of soft drink as they poured the wrong one for someone else, a very nice gesture.
The food is great. The chicken and cashew stir fry is to die for. Have been a few times and will be back again.

The Maid Of Auckland is a very good value for money local venue with great staff who bend over backwards to make sure you enjoy your visit. They have a great gaming room and good menu with some very skilled and creative chefs. Conference and meeting rooms are available and as I am involved in the Table Tennis South Australia SATTOC (South Australia Table Tennis Officiating Council) the Maid and their staff always extend themselves to make our meetings and meals very enjoyable.

Really have missed the mark the last 2 visits. Most recent is where spent $150 on meals for the family, came out cold and overcooked. Raised with manager whose only response was “we had too many non restaurant bookings”. What does that even mean? Surely you should have a more organised kitchen and the restaurant was only at 80% capacity……..what happens when you are at 100%!!

My new favourite pub/bistro is the Maid, hands down. My first time attending here for a meal and I'm glad I did, with the lovely company I had too it was a lovely night overall, in from the cold infront of a cosy fire 🔥
Thank you for providing us (yet again) with a delicious and generously portioned meal that was started off with a very tasty platter of foods from the entree/share platter menu which is provided.
Pictured is their Kangaroo Steak with Sweet Potato Mash and Brocollini, Pirate Life Throwback IPA, a glass of smooth Guiness and and a lovely assortment of foods on the share platter.
10/10 would come back again for another lovely dine in experience. For people that like to stay at home then Uber Eats/Takeaway is also an option from here, which we have also had in the past. A beautifully done up venue that doesn't require you having to dress up to match, well timed and thoughtful table service and a lovely team of staff to boot what more could you want.

I ordered chicken schnitzel. The schnitzel was well cooked and excellent consistency on the peppercorn sauce.
When I went here with a group of 10, I ordered the rump steak (medium) which was slightly undercooked but still great.
Service was great. Staff are friendly and helpful.
Schnitzel was a little too expensive. It's only $2 less than a steak?

Had Fetta thing didn’t taste like it was dry tasteless. Wasn’t impressed. Wait time was bit. However fish was good but serving need salad 🥗 and chips along side because quarter baramondi. Top with little tomatoes 🍅 on top I felt hungry still. But kid friendly thow

Had an amazing night here recently. The set function menu was great, good value at $55 for 3 course meal. Food was super delicious, high quality. Great, friendly service. Would definitely recommend

Great little Pub extremely good service a real pleasure to eat there nothing to much trouble food was very good, excellent service friendly Staff and very cosy great location plenty of Parking out the back. Seniors welcomed.

Food was very average
Arancini was bought to us frozen given a replacement but tasted like they had been reheated several times
Main meals were mostly just warm chips nearly cold given a new bowl of chips that were hot but shouldn’t have had to be replaced if they were hot in the first place

Food was not great. Arancini come out and it was still frozen and when replaced still did not taste right. Out of the 6 main meals that come out 4 were cold and the other had so much salt that was all you could taste.
The wait staff were good and trying to rectify the issues but didn’t make up for the kitchen sending out cold food.
The bill was extremely expensive for the sub par food and we would not be going back or recommending this place to anyone.

Food and service were both top-notch. Staff are friendly, really go the extra way to answer questions and keep the tables clear. Food was presented well and was delicious! Warm comfy atmosphere. Would choose this place again in a heartbeat.

Fine, healthy food don’t usually taste good. The food serve here is fairly average. But the roll that they serve was fresh from the oven which taste the best in the evening. But the rest of the food taste like it’s so healthy that it’s quality for hospital food.

Excellent service & delicious salmon, cooked to perfection. I was pleased with the care that was taken to follow along with my food sensitivities. Cheerfully noted I'd say served with a smile, but masks are required. Lol! 😷

Cannot fault this place. Hubby and myself had seniors meals in the bistro and they were huge and delicious. Service and atmosphere was beyond excellent. Recommend highly. Get there early, they are incredibly popular. Well done to this hotel, excellent experience!!! Will definitely be back. Great value.

A quiet pub for a meal. Fast service on a Sunday night. Food was fresh and hot. Squid was slightly oily but good texture.
