We were there last night celebrating our great grandaughter well what a bloody desaster , the pore baby didnt get her meal until 740 and my daughter ordered ribs wich dint come out , she got her money back , there were 8 of us , will never go there again and will never recomment your place , that was our first time there and the last time , myhusband and i spend 100 dollars , and on top of that we both got direa never again , we are not well oldys 😡😡

We stopped here for an impromptu brunch, and boy, were we surprised at the food! YUM!!! Poke bowl and cauliflower bites…we licked the plates clean!! The service was great, very friendly, helpful… Hats off to the chef. We will be back!

We ordered the Mexican Schnitzel. OMG. We should have shared just one. Well worth the $34.00. Absolutely huge, and overflowing the plate. Salad was large and a plethora of chips.

We ordered at 6.30, by 7.40 we only had 3/4 of the meals....and one never came out at all. The wait staff were doing they're best , but they were under staffed and the new chef and new menu definitely need alot of improvement. So disappointed and we won't be coming back. We saw the signs about new chef and new menu but it waste of advertising.

Update: I have changed my review rating from 1 to 4 due to the outstanding follow up I received from Simon the manager. Thank you Simon for sincere and honest answers. Based on this we will back soon. Note: Simon got in touch very soon after the review. I was just slow in updating the review

I hadn't been back to Mango Hill Tavern for over 12 months due to the average 3 star experience last time. It's a real shame just how far this place has dropped in the 4 years since I first went. But the kids wanted to go out and still remembered the play area so they were super keen. I had my reservations especially now I am a Coeliac (nothing to do with past reservations) so I wasn't going to eat anyway. So found a booking at 7.15pm via Google My Business ...bit late but was only available on Monday night. Arrived on time and seated promptly...pretty busy night so expected a delay on food. As expected the play area was open but nothing to play with as it had all been removed (thanks COVID). They had a new at your table ordering system powered by Mr Yum (if you are paying credit card you get charged extra if you go to the counter but no charge using this system). I thought this was great as I didn't have to line up and could focus on time with the kids. All ordered and payed with Apple Pay. 15 mins go by...20 mins go by. Someone comes over and says "Did you order the Beef burger?" "yep sure did" "sorry but we are out of beef patties. can we do something else?". My kids are really hungry (not kids meal the $20 ones), they look pretty cut up but say they will have southern fried chicken. 10mins go by...someone comes up and says "did you place an order?" "Ummm yeah...via the App." "We don't have a record. Can you show me the receipt?" "Here you go" and show them. "Can you come over the counter so you can speak to the Manager"... Let's just say no manager came and spoke to me...too busy trying to organise the pass in the kitchen is what I could see. The young staff were trying to sort things out. I told them they had the original order because someone came and told me they couldn't do the burger. 15 mins later we get our meal and a complimentary garlic bread. I was asked it they could give me drinks but it was already past 8pm and I didn't want the kids to have any more soft drinks. The meals were pretty ordinary...top of the meat lover pizza fell off ($23!!!), chicken burger was small ($19), carrots in the kids fish n chips was soft on the outside freezer burn hard on the inside. I didn't order a thing because I can't trust GFO (my problem ... not restaurant .. I know how hard it is to prevent cross contamination). Anyway...just proves again why I wouldn't go back. Poor form from management who really didn't care... I could handle the 3 star food for the sake of the kids, but the lack of care from management is disappointing at this price range.

This Tavern has decreased in food quality and huge increase in soft drink prices $7.60 for a large glass of Pepsi Max or any other soft drink. Haven't been here in over a year so not impressed.

The service was good when it came. Either short on staff or not managed well. The Burger I ordered was very nice. But for the price it could have come with bacon and egg. The pizza my partner ordered had less meat than a Domino's cheap pizza. Same again price. Two steak sandwiches had burnt toast. I would recommend the place but insist on better food quality. Place is nice though. Would go back.

The place was loud, service people were doing their best, but were in over their heads. Food took over an hour and somebody from our table had to find our food for us, turned up cold and not very nice. This hasn't been the first time for us and unfortunately it was the same last time.

Quiet night, food and service were appropriate for price.
Clean environment.
I wouldn't jump up and down with excitement. But I would certainly return

Ordered food tonight at 6.30pm and didn't receive till 7.30pm. Had to send my chicken parmi back as it was raw! Another person at our table ordered a burger, sent it back as the patty was raw. Came out 30 minutes later and the patty was still raw! Absolutely disappointing and won't be a returning customer! I think your chef/s need more food safety training. Maybe also stop taking uber eats orders so you can focus on the customers in the actual restaurant. Going by the reviews from tonight, we weren't the only table that had issues.
Whilst we are at it, I'll just add that one of your bar staff smashed a glass on the counter and then brushed it off with a floor broom 🤢

Ordered a 250gram rump steak, looks way smaller when arrived so we weighed it 129grams. When called the venue I got told it is weighed before its cooked and that's how its served. I have had 200gram steaks bigger than this. I have never had a 250gram rump steak I can eat within 3-4 mouthfuls I wish I could post the picture to show as its disgusting to call this a main meal

Nice tavern to sit back and relax in. Friendly atmosphere that caters to all age groups. Food is a little expensive for a tavern but they also have specials to balance that out.

Mother’s Day Event was great! Best food and service in the area. Thank you to the friendly staff for making our day. Kids loved the play area as well!

Karaoke was great, but I didn't try the food. The crowd was fun too, didn't even buy a drink because some random who I never spoke a sentence to gave me a Jager shot. This photo is from the very beginning.

I've eaten at Mango Hill Tavern twice now, and I really enjoyed it. The food is good, and the atmosphere is OK. I had a chicken parmesan once, and it was delicious, and the service was good too that time. However, when you're a DoorDasher, waiting 25 minutes for food when you get paid per order isn't ideal. Time is money, and standing there to pick up an order is excruciating. Needless to say, I didn't make the money I was looking for in that hour. I made a grand total of $15 for a whole hour's worth of work because of the wait at Mango Hill Tavern. I had to work an extra hour to make up for the lost time. Other than that, I have no problems with Mango Hill Tavern. The food is great, and they have a nice kids' area.

I've been here twice in the last 4 months. The first time was 29th December and the gnocchi was absolutely delicious, It was so delicious we decided to book again for my mums Bday dinner tonight... As soon as it got delivered to the table I knew straight away it didn't look the same and it tasted 100 times worse than it looked. I didn't eat any of it, Really disappointed as we had such a great experience the first time.

It was Mothers Day dinner, and the place was packed, so a little noisy but great service. The staff were amazing and the food was very good. Great gnocchi.

I ordered a chicken snitzel through uber eats. Regrettably two bites in I realised its partially raw. Very dangerous. If you eat here double check your chicken because apparently it's overlooked by the kitchen staff. Anyone in a kitchen knows or should know how important it is to make sure chicken is thoroughly cooked through. I already have a chronic illness with my stomach and bowels so ill just have to cross my fingers I don't get sick.

I love this place, and though I have only been there three times in a year, each time saw stellar food - my favourite being the sausage and mash. Yesterday, I had the BBQ chicken parmigiana, which was hefty, tender, and juicy and had the perfect cheesiness. I will be back again repeatedly.

I am writing to express my disappointment with the dining experience I had at Mango Hill Tavern earlier today, on June 24th, 2024.
Unfortunately, my visit did not meet the standards I have come to expect from your establishment. We had a table of twenty-four people for my son’s birthday.
Firstly, the quality of the food was not up to par. Three meals at our table were delayed precisely for an hour and ten minutes. Furthermore, one parmi was returned because it was undercooked, and another beef burger was served completely raw. Additionally, the children's chicken nuggets were excessively oily.
This was really disappointing as I have enjoyed meals at Mango Hill Tavern in the past.
Secondly, the service was also lacking. The staff seemed overwhelmed and inattentive, resulting in delays in taking our order and receiving our food. Additionally, there was a lack of communication regarding the status of our meal, which added to the overall frustration of the experience.
The restaurant was severely understaffed, with a limited number of chefs available. the ambiance of the restaurant was not as pleasant as usual.
I believe in providing feedback constructively, and I hope this message helps highlight areas for improvement. I would appreciate it if you could look into these matters and take appropriate steps to ensure that other patrons do not encounter similar issues in the future.

Good place to get family meal, reasonable prices. Some adults had ribs n wings n said not enough sauce and ribs were dry. Seniors meal was good size, kids meals ok. Staff friendly. Kids play area average.

Food was good but the service was terrible. We arrived just before 5pm last Friday afternoon. No other diners were there. We had no booking and were shown to table with hard timber chairs. My back can't cope so we asked to sit at a booth with padded seat and were told no they were booked. When we left there were still 4 unused booths. When they brought our mains the plates from entrees were still on the table which is a pet peeve of mine. When they brought the new drinks they didn't take the empties. We spent over $200 so if your charging decent $ we expect some service. And you have mould in the ladies bathroom.

Bar side was obnoxious, loud tvs competing with karaoke. Pick one. Can’t have both.

Caught up for lunch with Mum. Staff were friendly. Food was generous, big plates, that was good compared to other nearby tavern. We had a good time.

Awful experience- waited for food almost an hour
Bland food -Szechuan calamari had no seasoning no yuzu ranch just plain mayo.
Chicken schnitzel overcooked
Steak ordered medium rare we got rare
Really disappointed!

Ate here last night. Not much available, had the fish and chips myself, very big size fish, but was pretty much only thing I could order/pick . Ordered a coffee and was way too hot couldn't even touch the mug it burnt me, told male staff and warned them, if that spilt would be a very nasty burns didn't seem fazed :/ , was worried of it spilling on my kids as the table was wobbly too. The lady who served and welcomed us thought was very friendly and helpful. Unsure if we're go back again this was out anniversary/bday meal and 3rd time we've been here. Was a bit of a let down this time.

$75 for two meals, no sides and had to add food to a meal to make it a full meal… had to send food back twice cause $7 to add chicken to mushroom gnocchi should be more than just two chunks of chicken and one large chunk of mushroom.
Female staff member was lovely, other male staff weren’t.
Not interested in coming back as a friend went a few days later and had an actual mouse in a salad… I’m not joking! Never again! Will never recommend!
