What a good old fashioned, tasty and filling meal we had here. 300g steaks were cooked to perfection and the sides were tasty AF.
Highly recommend stopping here for lunch or dinner, we will be stopping here from now on for our Wilson Prom adventures.

We were celebrating a birthday lunch, the staff were very friendly and the meals were great ,most of us had seniors meals and they were really tasty and the roast was huge I've never seen such a big plate of food for a seniors meal all for under $20. We were still sitting at the table at 3-30pm and the staff didn't try to move us on . Will go back again in the future, there were 9 of us including 2 of the younger generation and not a complaint from anyone

We stopped over at pub for a quick dinner after our trek at Wilson Prom. Great food with amazing taste, warm hospitality, and staff are just amazing. Just had this beautiful country vibe. Highly recommended.

Well this is awkward... Google wants me to provide a review as if I'd stayed here for the night however I only had lunch at the restsurant.
To review or not to review? That is the question... Well I guess I've come too far to back out now. Here goes nothing....
As hotels go, the McCartin's Hotel restaurant is a wonderful place to have lunch. And don't stop there. If you're planning on staying at the hotel for the night then you have to make sure you also... have dinner in the restaurant. Of course spending the night at this hotel wouldn't be complete unless you had breakfast in the restaurant*. Then after enjoying your breakfast at the hotel restaurant** what better way to cap off your stay at McCartin's Hotel than a lovely lunch in their restaurant. I had the double cheeseburger which was at least twice the size of a standard cheeseburger so no complaints there.
So if you're looking for a place to stay in Leongatha then you can't do better than lunch at McCartin's Hotel.

We knew we were late, and expected the kitchen would be closed. By chance a gent met us at the door. Once we told him we were hoping to eat, he rushed off to the kitchen. Too late kitchen clean was in progress. Then he rushed over to the pizza section, through the glass we saw the cook say the oven was off. We could see them discuss if there was something they could offer. He came out apologetic, and looked sad that he hadn’t found a solution.|We were absolutely amazed at how much effort he had put into customer service. Especially as we were at fault being so late. (Kitchens have to close and be cleaned.)|I gave a “no worries” wave to the pizza cook, who seemed happy to see we were not upset. I wish I’d slowed down to really thank the gent who had done the leg work.|His polite service and care of a customer was over and above. We live a few towns away; he wouldn’t know that; but I’m telling locals to give this pub a go. So if you want to feel really welcome you should give this pub a go too.|Ps Dining and outside dining area looked nice and clean. We saw some meals (ordered/cooked earlier than our arrival,) they smelled and looked wonderful.

Very Good could do better as i airplayed onto the Apple TV but the scotch fillet with garlic butter is 8.5/10

Very friendly bar staff and good wood fire pizza. My recommendation is “Slow roasted lamb”. Gippsland lamb shoulder is very tasty flavour. Nice atmosphere to watch footy.

This place must not like Qld’r or me (non caucasian). Came down with my partners caucasian family for dinner tonight and asked for the fish & chips $30 and if my fish could be grilled. The buck tooth blonde waitress said no, only seniors can have pan or grilled fish. When our meals arrived, my partners younger brother in his 30s got a bigger grilled fish and chips when I got somewhat a kid size small crumbed fish. I tried to get someone’s attention for an hour but no one helped until a young small blonde lady said she’d get me a manger but never did for 30mins. So we left after that. I was told by my partners other family, this place was too expensive and the staff aren’t nice.
If you don’t have blonde hair! Don’t come here! The blondes aren’t nice to tan, dark customers… 🤷♀️ just seemed odd when I was reaching a staffs attention and was ignored or forgotten by the manager

Saw photos of what looked like large,nicely refurbished rooms, on their website,got there and the room was tiny and musty. The beds are at least 20 years old and incredibly uncomfortable. Windows cannot be opened, so no fresh air. As the rooms are above a busy Hotel, there is a lot of noise from kitchen exhaust fans and fridge and freezer coolers. The Wifi does not reach the upper floors. It did not work in my room at all.Be prepared for a rustic stay and don't rely on the photos of the rooms.|

Room did not live up to the photos on Web page. In the louge it needs a sink.

Overall really good pizza! we really enjoyed it. However, we didn’t enjoy this on the inside of the pizza box. I think it may have been a joke or something throughout the employees however, they should’ve noticed it before giving it to customers.

Loved their Woodford pizzas. We went for 3 of their vegetarian pizzas- Margherita, Funghi (on special), and Genovese. Couldn’t fault any of the combinations and great service to boot.

I had the most amazing angus beef burger there, great service.
I recommend this place.
Gents toilet in bar area could do with a few dollars spent on it.

I am Celiac. Menu is misleading and wrong. Allergens needs to be updated.

Had dinner last night and we both had the scotch fillet and porterhouse steak both were cooked to our liking.. The staff were really friendly from the bar to the bistro highly recommended and would definitely visit again

Had a lovely birthday dinner here with the family. It’s been a long time since we’ve had a meal that everyone has thoroughly enjoyed. The attention to detail and presentation was exceptional and it was great to see some local produce on the menu. The staff had a great understanding of the menu and were friendly and attentive. Best meal I’ve had since moving to gippsland by a long shot. Nothing else compares. Thanks so much to Simon and the team for making our night a memorable one. Looking forward to coming back again.

Great Pub To Stop In For A Quick Meal & Beer. Staff are always attentive & food is really nice with good variety. Loved My Ceaser Salads With Grilled Chicken - Tasty & Perfect For Lunch. Cheers!

Food was ok, but it way too much batter on the fish. More seasoning on chips. And salad wasn't much to brag about

Fantastic new hotel.
So close to all the shops and pubs.
Has lots of parking and exceptional rooms.
Lovely king sized bed and great bathrooms. Will definately go again.

3 courses were great , the curry, steak and Parma. I ordered the roast was supposed to be lamb with mash but received pork roll mostly fat and the mash was mainly HUGE lumps of potato. Child's spaghetti bol which tasted really nice however, had this big black, ( looked like cooked plastic ) in it so had to stop the 15 month eating it.
Went and took it up to the girl, a guy was walking past I'm presuming the manager and I explained again about both meals. He too had no idea what the black piece was but apologized straight away. Told me he would come over to see me at the table ( which he did soon after). He gave me the $12 for the kids meal and offered me a drink for my meal. So I'd rate them 50 50.
Don't think I'd go back for a while, but like I said, the steak and the curry meal oh and the parma were all really good.
