We stay here each time we come up from Melbourne. Room very comfy, warm and clean. I did not get his name but but on check in on the 25th June approx 1.30pm the staff member was exceptional in every way, efficient, warm and friendly and he could not have done more for us, he is definitely a keeper. Extremely good value for money.

We're currently staying at the hotel. The room we have is nice, amenities provided are top notch aswell, the parking at $12/day is reasonable, the location of the hotel is great and not too far from Canberra's main attractions, the lobby area is modern and well maintained , the fitness centre is very basic but good for a quick workout, Housekeeping service is good aswell as our room was cleaned properly. The hotel seems be seriously understaffed though and so the service suffers at times. You have front office staff scrambling to deliver amenities to rooms while checking in other guests. We were told on 2 consecutive days (and this was around 5-6pm) to wait 30 mins or more to get things like sugar sachets, some plates and cutlery etc as they were busy with check in and even after 30 mins there was noone there ,so we went down to the reception to get some of the items ourselves, in saying that staff over there were very helpful and did their best every time to assist, and cater to our needs. The breakfast service at the Labor club on Christmas day was the same with just 2 staff to manage the breakfast buffet. They had items on the buffet constantly run out and the one staff who was running around had to be asked for different things (other staff was stuck behind the coffee machine with coffee orders). There were a lot of seniors at the buffet who struggled having to tilt the juices at the juice station to get some juice and other things that didn't get replenished. Again not the fault of the staff there as they were just running around doing there absolute best. I guess it's cheaper to have fewer staff on public holidays and weekends and just make do with a few disgruntled guests who might or might not complain about it eventually. We've stayed at a number of hotels in Canberra and our experience with all of them has been nothing short of amazing. This wasn't the case this time around.

We have now stayed at the Mecure Belconnen various times whilst in Canberra and it has definitely become our preferred accommodation in Canberra. From the warm welcome, the out of the way extra attention, the above grade accommodation and exceptional breakfast it is our go to .

We have now made the Mercure Belconnen our hotel of choice for our regular trips to Canberra to watch the rugby at GIO Stadium (which is just a 5 minute drive away). We have found the rooms to be superior to other Accor hotels in Canberra and we have been extremely well looked after by the staff - particularly Natasha and HM.|It is also very convenient to be able to return to the hotel after the game and relax in the adjoining Labor Club with a drink - whereas other Accor hotels close their bar before we get back.

Very comfortable, clean, new. The beds and pillows were comfortable, and no outside noise could be heard, making for a sound night’s sleep. The hotel staff were efficient, friendly and very helpful with any assistance and queries I made with them. I would definitely stay at this hotel again the next time I’m in Canberra.

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this hotel for several reasons: - Lack of reception availability during times when needed (in-person or by phone). - Repetition of requested items and forgetting details that were communicated (for example: we were a party of 3 and constantly reminded them that we needed 3 towels, yet during our two-week stay, they only provided 2 towels). - Poor room cleanliness (discrepancies compared to the photos). - Very poor quality of food (we tried most of the dishes during our stay, but unfortunately, they were either burnt or had an unpleasant taste). - Repetitive breakfasts and lack of variety. - Unpleasant odor in the bathroom. As a supposedly multi-star hotel, it did not meet the necessary standards, and we were very dissatisfied.

This was by far the best place I have stayed at in Canberra! Incredible service, beautiful rooms, clean, and a faultless experience. I had my flight cancelled and was in distress as it was late and I had no where to stay, and the wonderful girl who I spoke to and checked in with couldn’t not have been better assisting me and getting me settled in without any additional worries! Cannot recommend this place more! Thank you for an amazing experience 😊

This hotel is our choice of stay in Canberra. We have had nothing but good, friendly service each time we have stayed. The rooms are above standard for the Mecure brand and being in close proximity to the Labour Club is a plus if you would like something to eat however you wouldn’t know it was there if you don’t want or need that experience. The buffet breakfast is quality food and all round I highly recommend this hotel. Special mention to Natasha for her kind gesture and Md for his help on our last visit.

The design is beautiful. Room size is good. Sadly can't expect more, compared to other 4 stars Hotels. This hotel doesn't provide toothpaste/ toothbrush unless you request. They did NOT allow me to borrow spoons saying they do NOT have restaurant (something I've never experienced before in my 30 years staying in hotels across the world, even in 1 star hotel). Do not expect the front desk staffs greet you morning like at the other Mercures, esp in Asia - where the level of friendliness is at the top. However, they still answering questions. The check-in/ out process is quick. Was my top option to bring my groups of family here on next visit, but changed my mind already. Somehow it's still ok for emergency landing.

Staffs are really friendly and I really liked the EV charging options available in their parking. The rooms are really nice and spacious also the attached labor club is a good place to hangout and eat. The furniture and interior is fairly new and the view facing the lake is really nice. So over all a great hotel.

Room was great .. clean and comfy. Friendly reception but I don't like having to give my id for everything, especially given data breaches happening lately. Fair enough if you just want to view it to identify the person booking in is genuine, but having to give it up for booking in and again just to eat in the hotel is not necessary. Location was good for us to spend time having a look around Canberra.

Rooms have a nice decor and you can see they spent some time on the details. Lighting, artwork, furniture, flooring. All really nice! Good breakfast, very good service. Easy parking, good location. Would definitely come back and recommend

On walking into my room it was very stuffy.mould smell.|Booked this hotel to enjoy the quietness from the city and found the opposite. All we heard all night was TV noise from other Rooms .|There is no sound proofing.I would recommend other hotels.|The hotel needs some work done very very run down.|The best part is the food at the bar very good .

location not in the City Hall but near the university so easy to find the food and supermarket nearby. parking is only 12 dollars for multiple entries which is very good. room is very clean and modern. just the shower area the shower screen is a bit shorter. should install a glass panel door connected to the shower screen, so then the water won't splash out.wifi is fast and stablethe bed is comfortable as well. staff is very friendly Breakfast is not at the standard, even the coffee machine was not functionalbut overall was a good stay.

It’s very clean and tidy. But…. We ordered on the Mercure website and it said mountain or lake view and we got neither. All we can see is a concrete wall on level 5. We asked for the room that we ordered but they were booked out?! The bathroom was designed by a simpleton. There isn’t a door on the shower at all. There is a frosted glass door on bathroom so if you turn the light on in the night you wake everyone. Can’t reach the soap in the shower without getting out!. Parking was on level 4 so it takes 10 mins to get in and out of car park driving up and down these stupid ramps. Why make the guests park at the top? We should have known that the Labor club would be as disappointing as the Labour Party. Breakfast was ordinary, basic scrambled eggs with cheap bacon or sausage and tinned mushrooms. Frozen hash browns. Auto Machine coffee in tiny cups. $27 per person. Maccas serve fresher, cheaper and better food. Dinner at the club was $92 and just awful with frozen veggies after 40 mins wait. Roast of the day didn’t come with roast potatoes or roast pumpkin just frozen veggies. Stay anywhere else.

I really enjoyed my stay here. The staff at reception were so friendly and always smiling. The location was perfect, walking distance to a range of different eating places. I was pleasantly surprised by the room, it was styled beautifully and I thought the gym was great. I will definitely stay here again :)

I paid in advance to get early discount, but I was disappointed overall. I had a bathroom with rails but no shower curtain hence whole floor got wet making it more dangerous to fall. Used towels to mop floor but not nice to have fresh towels that have previously been on floor to indicate to staff that they need to be changed. |Breakfast seemed to be a disaster each morning, not a big selection and usually utensils not provided, fruit juice container empty, coffee machine out of water it was something every morning.|It appeared to be understaffed, one morning only two people on to waitress.

I am a long time visitor to Mercure Belconnen and my only comment is that standards have fallen. The rooms are not as clean as they used to be: fittings are broken, the shower head selectors usually don't work, there is a general "worn and tired" feel about the rooms. The staff are friendly and helpful, if not always prompt. The beds are comfortable and the standard facilities are good.

Great hotel, parking on site wasn't too pricey at $12 a day. Room was clean and well appointed. Reception was great and helpful, utilised vouchers for the Labor Club downstairs which were complimented as an Accor Gold member.

Good location with plenty of parking available. The rooms were still new and clean. I did not like how the restaurant/bar was located at the gaming venue though. Staff are friendly and check in/out process was prompt.

Good location and decent quality offering in line with what you'd expect from the Mercure brand. Short walk to Westfields, bus interchange and nearby lake so there is plenty of amenity in the area. Paid parking is available in the multi storey car park for $12 a night which isn't cheapest but is ok. Staff were exceptionally friendly. Did have an issue with a lift being out of service but didn't impact things too badly. Will happily stay here again on future visits.

Couldn't recommend this place more. Called them up to book a room and they were all too happy to get us sorted. And when there was a mistake, they helped to fix it. Don't book through the travel sites. Book direct. Saved close to $100 on the room by doing this. The rooms are top class. All the staff from front desk to housekeeping were helpful and friendly. The labour club next door is an easy place to get some dinner, but the surrounds offer greats selection also. Will be staying here again.

Check out wasn't until 10am and we had the house keeping team walk into our room at 9.15am. They realised they werent supposed to be in our room and left but then stayed outside our room to wait for us to leave. Very disappointing as no apology was given and our privacy was breached.
