What a pleasant surprise! Loved the ambient atmosphere and open air green spaces! Food was delish! Great place!

We went on Monday and they have 241 in all the meals is a really good deal! For lunch and dinner. We order the fish & chips and the schnitzel with the creamy sauce. Another day the butter chicken burger, club sandwich. Always everything is amaaaaazing! 🤩. We gonna go back for sure.

We recently hired one of their new event spaces for a birthday function. I had nothing but a great experience! The team were really professional and helpful. In sourcing the space they were always the most responsive out of all the venues I contacted and in the end were able to accommodate my every need. They offered me flexibility and I felt like nothing was too hard. Excellent value for money. Also on the night, my guests spoke very highly of the food and service - We were surprised at how good the food was as its sometimes hard to tell. We had about 50pax within that space and it filled the room perfectly - I think if your looking at hosting in a beautiful space within the inner GC area then you should definitely consider these spaces. We had the option to keep the glass doors open for easy access to the bar with the opportunity to close them later in the evening to block out the sounds from the restaurant adjacent. We pop in there sometimes more than once a week and love atmosphere, food and staff are great! It’s pub food but way better than average! Fish is always good, kids food excellent variety and burgers, I love the buttermilk chicken one are great and consistent! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We had our son's 18th there last night and so impressed! Kayla, the events organiser was brilliant and super helpful. Food and drink was great. For an 18th the security were really good too - fair and well balance.

We got there and went to the bar first as this is the first thing you see and we were rudely directed to the bistro ladies.
The bistro ladies sat us at our table with no instructions or menu’s- and walked away.
We assumed we weren’t getting table service and just got up to order after asking some of the locals how it worked.
When going to get a drink, all of the younger bar staff were just yarning to eachother and didn’t really have the time of day to give to customers. One of the male staff was just leaning against the bar chatting to the female staff.
Despite the average staff, the good staff were good and smiley and welcoming, and the food was good too.

We always go there on Monday which has a great deal of 2 for 1. Their steak is so good and the Espresso Martini which Adam makes is amazing too!

Very impressed with the food, service and atmosphere. The place was very busy but comfortable. The food was as delicious. Highly recommend coming here for food and beers!!

Such a lovely Mother’s Day. Glass of bubbles to start our beautiful experience. Food was absolutely lovely and all the staff very helpful. Music with the saxaphone was great and kids enjoyed the playroom.

Such a beautiful spot to enjoy dinner with the family not overly loud and kid friendly. Food was amazing 👏 and service was quick. Staff were polite and very happy to serve. Bar staff were top notch 👌.
Also located next to a mini putt place, where you can play a round with the kids and then enjoy a meal together after with a discounted dinner menu.

NEWLY REFURBISHED!
A gaming room, sports bar, clean toilets (you may even spot the local kookaburra) hanging around.
Look up while standing at the bar and on a sunny day the roof will be open.
VERY comfortable bar stools in the dining area.
The food is delicious and they have wine on tap.
We were warmly greeted by Shainey who was amazing. Knowledgeable, friendly and extremely accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble.
Highly recommended and we have already been back after our first visit and will be back again!

My friends and I stopped by the Mermaid Beach Tavern straight after our flight to the Gold Coast landed. We weren't initially impressed by the downstairs bar and gaming room when we came in through the side entrance, but the upstairs area is beautifully designed and very spacious. I particularly liked the greenery, both real and fake, in the dining areas and the steam punk style light fixtures in the bar area. The Tavern serves regular pub fare as well as pizzas, burgers, pasta and grill. We ordered off the $18 lunch specials list, which turned out to be good value. The crispy skin salmon bowl and the pork and fennel bangers and mash were good and the service was pretty quick.

Mermaid Tavern is a great relaxed and beautiful place to eat.
The food is always good portions and satisfying. Pizza 🍕 pasta chips salads 🥗 everything 🤩
We just keep coming back for the Sticky date pudding! 😋

Kids meals are very small, which wasn't great for my big eaters, although 1 child ordered a full pizza, and loved it. Other meals were great. We had a last minute team dinner and thoroughly enjoyed the evening.

Just an awesome pub with great meals, wonderful bar staff and kitchen wizzes! food selection is fantasitc, all your staples plus some really good specials as well which updates regularly. Family friendly and the open roof at the bar is very cool!

It was my first time at Mermaid Beach Tavern, nice venue very well laid out, we had lunch upstairs which was lovely, food was amazing…I had the crispy Barramundi and my friend had the mushroom risotto could not fault the food at all, the only thing that let it down was the service, tables were cleared ok…but no real interaction with the staff asking how our meal was…if we were happy with everything, which would have been nice, otherwise couldn’t fault it. 😀

I have visited Mermaid Beach Tavern twice now for lunch and really enjoyed both the food and atmosphere.
The menu has great options and the meals are served relatively quick. They have daily meal specials, as well as a joint deal with Putt Putt next door for a discounted meal.
The bistro feels clean and well lit, with open air and greenery all around. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit and will return again.

I come to this place alot , prices are good and beautiful spacious venue . Girls in service downstairs are really lovely but upstairs is different story . Girl in food service tonite was really not present and didn't realise or hear me standing behind with beeping buzzer , she was just giggling and the guy behind the register had to come to get her out of her zone and told her I'm standing behind , she didn't even apologised and just hand me my meal without saying anything , really poor performance

Great spot for a family birthday get together or celebration! Awesome menu, great prices, friendly staff. Have been a few times and every time it is faultless, will continue to keep going and work my way through the menu!

Great chefs, good food, good service, reasonably priced. We make it our regular Monday night group get together doing 2 for 1.
Pokies are ok and the service in the gaming room is good.
Pity there is no keno, it's quite unusual not to be available, I wish it was because I miss it as I am a regular keno player.

Friendly, relaxed club style atmosphere. Good staff, good food, good special meal deals. Worth becoming a member with gift vouchers for birthday month. Yum and good atmosphere at a good price

Food is Excellent.
Only comments I would make:
- Dining area is too noisy. The music is too loud for a dining area (Garden rooms A and B)
- Desert: Please bring back the sticky date pudding and Chiros

First of all I don't ever usually leave comment, but this place left me no choice,
Kidd's play room is full of ball vending machines, so instead of the Kidd's playing and leaving the parents in peace they are hounding you for money the hole time.
We waited an hour and 20mins for 2 mains and 2 Kidd's meals, which were bland and not worth the $.for example the Kidd's pasta is cheep tomato sauce and pasta that's it. Came with a group of 10adults + Kidd's all disappointed. Absolute joke. Definitely will not be back. Don't waste your hard earned money coming here!

Dined here for dinner 4 of us were very disappointed. Garlic bread was cold butter not even melted. The Crispy pork belly was that rubbery and fatty it was sickly, the Prawn pizza had that many chilli seeds/flakes on it it was inedible, the steak was good great flavour but vegetable barely hit the hot water very undercooked. The Chicken breast was great and enjoyed. Won’t be back..

Best steak dinner my partner and I have had in a long time. The steak and vegetables were cooked perfectly. Compliments to the Chef 👏 We would highly recommend Mermaid Tavern for dinner.

Beautiful place, perfect for for families! The play room has touch pads and costumes and toys. Everything is clean. The steak is actually cooked to your liking. We go to many pubs in the gc and it’s rare to get a good steak. Really recommend and can see the effort put in this place.
