We recently had our social club AGM, 64 people all having dinner at the same time. The staff were amazing, we all had a great night. Food was good pub food.

Went here last night with my family for Mother’s Day I was very impressed to say the least the food was delicious and great service this place is definitely underrated I work in hospitality myself and I could see the staff where under a lot of stress they did great!!! Was very impressed by there service and hospitality skills would recommend to anyone thank you guys for making my mum have a great Mother’s Day it was much appreciated

We had an amazing time at the Mitcham hotel for dinner. They have one of my favourite schnitzels with a great herbed crumb.
The service that Matt provided was absolute excellence! We will definitely be returning

We came on a Wed night at 6:15pm - my husband and adult son. We were greeted by a friendly girl and shown to our table. Entrees we ordered cheesy garlic bread with bacon bits and it was gooey and delicious. They ordered spicy chicken wings which they agreed were spicy and flavourful. For mains we ordered chicken Parma with chips and salad - this was a decent size but not too big. My husband had the bourbon pork belly with veggies which we said was a decent piece of pork and he enjoyed it. My son had the pork belly burger and gave it the thumbs up! Our waitress Danielle was lovely and Manager Matt was also very friendly and lovely. So do yourselves a favour and pop in one night! 😊

Very friendly and accommodating. We didn’t have a booking, just dropped in our way home from the City.
Used the Me&U app to order meals and drinks. Used the Monty card and received a discount.
Enjoyable spontaneous dinner with my number1.
I had the Parma, and missus had steak. Both nice meals.

Very average.
I had a chicken Caesar salad, which was very basic and you really cant muck it up. My partner had salt and pepper calamari for main. It was flavourless. There was no seasoning on the calamari. It was pale and soggy. No dipping sauce for the chips. The cheesy garlic bread was the highlight. Disappointing. Our previous visit was much better. The menu has been changed. I noticed some elderly people commenting they could not read the menu as the font was very small. Perhaps they could give it an upgrade as I know the elderly patrionidge is a substaial part of the customer's they cater for.

Tonight I had the pork belly it was delightful. Also the young girl small girl with the black hair that served us morin I think her name was, gave us the best service we’ve had in a while. We will be back

The food was ok. My steak was cooked well, but the other steak was slightly overcooked so it was a little chewy. The chips were very crispy and non oily. The staff were very average. Not particularly friendly.

Really underrated pub in the south eastern suburbs. Came with the folks to shout them dinner and my goodness. The pork belly was half the size of the plate, and tasted like Christmas. Daniella was our server and besides her friendly smile her charisma is what made our night. The atmosphere is so nice and the space is very open. Can't wait to come back

Not sure what happened to the food here recently, but it’s terrible. The parma and chips used to be absolutely fantastic over a year ago. The last 3 or 4 times I’ve been was pretty disappointing. Won’t be back. Smaller menu and new chef, not a fan.

Matt the manager is awesome! Awesome guy and really welcoming. Food was fantastic! Was very hot due to Anne very quick service. The two of them are very lovely! Will be coming back!!

Matthew was really helpful but the other waiter wasn’t flexible when QR ordering failed and we were only allowed the ice-cream instead of a choice of cake or ice-cream.
But Matthew was lovely and made our lunch special. Food was great. We will come back next week.

I wasn’t overly thrilled. Not sure if I would go back. I ordered scotch fillet steak $46.00 very chewy and had lots of gristle. It was cooked the way I asked it to be.. medium and the favour was there.. Told the young lady collecting the plates and she didn’t seam to care. Which is the reason i probably wouldn’t go back. $46.00 is a lot to pay for a meal.. which I’m happy to pay if it’s good.
Everyone else enjoyed their meal. Spent about $150 for a table of 4

Insufficient staffing to bring out meals soon enough and to clear up soon enough after meal finished. Two orders made in succession on table delivered miles apart from first one.
Good atmosphere though. Some meals a bit basic for the price.

I have been here many, many times as it's close to my work and is often chosen for staff dinners.
I have been vegetarian for many years. Your vegetarian/plans based/vegan options are appalling. Twice, in recent months when I have been, I have been told that the plant based cheeseburger you offer, isn't available, (despite it being on the menu), leaving the only other vegan option to be a tofu thai curry. There are no salads offered, there are no entrees offered, (maybe garlic bread if you eat dairy), no plant based or even egg free desserts. In this day and age, when so many people are choosing to eat less meat and dairy, you need to step it up. I have told my work place, if dinner's continue to be at the Mitcham Hotel, I won't attend.
And 2 weeks ago, your bar staff were ridiculously slow, and the meal I did order, we eventually went and got ourselves from the pass. All 7 other people at my table had almost finished eating. We all ordered at the same time.
You really do need to improve. You are falling well behind the 8 ball as far as pubs are concerned.
You get two stars, because I believe everyone that I attend with likes your food.

I came for dinner with my husband, we were greeted by the lovely staff. We were so amazed how polite, joyful, and enthusiastic the staff was. Also, food was great and we had a very good time and enjoyed the atmosphere.

Hats off to the staff especially the Scottish guy. He deserves an end of year bonus for sure! So friendly and efficient. Have been a few times in the last month with a couple of large groups & family and noticed the difference on his day off. Last Thursday he was off and it was chaotic as had to order the food from the bar and the queue was huge. Used the app for the first time which worked ok but couldn’t order the Chefs Specials from it. Need to update that function. Food is very tasty, especially the Parmas and the Steaks. It’s lovely in the winter with the fire on.

Good quality venue. My family are big fans of the food and atmosphere in the sport's bar.
Ate today in the bistro, although you pay a bit more for the food there, there is a little more variety.

For lunch, I ordered a Seniors Steak which had more fat than I would have expected. Instead of salad & chips, I paid an extra $2 for vegetables. Compared to the vegetables which accompanied the Seniors Pie & Mash and other Seniors meals, both the quantity and quality of vegetables was extremely disappointing! It was the worst Seniors Steak meal I have ever had!!! It is highly unlikely that our group of 6 will choose the venue again

Edit 14/7/24 - i just asked a waitress if we could please have our desserts and she literally rolled her eyes at us and snapped "you'll have to give me a minute".
Pleasant surroundings which are never noisy. Bistro staff are lovely, especially Matthew. We come here regularly and always enjoy our meals. Menu could offer more vegetarian options but there are a few which are nice.

disappointing, ordered one of the only 2 vegetarian friendly mains, the Thai tofu green curry. After waiting, was served the curry but with no tofu. When I made a point of this, I was told there was no tofu left in the kitchen? Why would this not be made obvious when ordering, and why would I be served a meal missing the key ingredient as if I wouldn’t notice? Was offered a bland burger as a replacement, with painfully undercooked chips instead. Could’ve just spent $22 at subway and had a better time. The waiting staff were very kind and helpful, and I know it wasn’t at all their fault. But the kitchen staff could be more upfront about what ingredients are and aren’t available, instead of serving half a meal.

Awesome food and value for money. Way above what I was expected. Steak was perfect. The calamari was amazing.

A Lack of staff even on an evening that wasn’t busy meant that we had to wait 5 minutes to order our meals while they alternate between serving meals and taking orders.
But what we came for was a good pub meal and sadly we were very disappointed. Ribs were inadequate in size, calamari which was less than the onions that accompanied it and the grilled fish was also small in serving size.
A tend here is less staff and small servings equals higher profits but in reality less returning customers.
Lift your game on the meals as the pokies can’t fund the pub alone.

22 of us celebrated a birthday lunch at the Mitcham Pub today, food was served quickly they accommodated all our needs and the services was great. Big thankyou to all the staff who were there today.

18 of us gathered for dinner to celebrate a family birthday and we were happy with the food and service. At our request, the manager and staff were able to change our allocated seating location. Mainly steaks, fish n chips, and a few senior meals were ordered and we also brought a birthday cake. All good! One steak was overcooked and they were happy to replace. Shout out to the kind staff and attentive manager who all worked very hard.
