We were seated at a high table not great for larger people but it was good for our group, The restaurant was full and mostly reserved so you should book ahead , the eleven course set was great for our group and all the food was delicious

We have enjoyed eating here many times in the recent years. Every time, it has been unique, fresh, hot and enjoyable. Cant understand the few negative reviews. Must have just been an off day!

We had dinner for the first time and the Chinese is absolutely brilliant. Can't recommend this enough. The menu is extensive enough to cater for all dietary needs.

Visited while on holidays with fussy family members. I read the reviews first sounded awesome and was awesome. The flavours were amazing even my vegetarian mother in law was super impressed. Very efficient and nice friendly patient staff. Will definitely go back when we are up this way again.

Very nice range of stir fries. Cosy inside and great design of the shop. Mostly go for thier cheap lunch specials which you feel is almost a steal. Always friendly service & lunch takeaways are always a struggle to fit the lid on. Tip - is to ask for no sauce on top as it destroys the flavour. Each takeaway dish has a cold drink included. 3 lunch dishes topped to the max with 3 kids makes for a good solid meal for 5 people. No food left over.

This place is the worst place I have ever been it all tasted like it was pre made and half the things we ordered we didn’t eat! I would not even feed my dog this rubbish… BE AWARE!

The worst Chinese food we have ever eaten. The honey chicken was soggy like reheated day old chicken with barely any honey flavor. The deep fried dumplings were soggy and coasted in a soggy batter. The rice tasted like it had been cooked in plastic with no seasoning at all. Absolutely Awful.

Salt and pepper tofu was spot on, good fried rice. Clean. Take a jumper, air con is freezing. Cheap cutlery, the desert was good Banna spring rolls were my favourite (tad bit small). Soy sauce was a bit sour, water jug wasn't big enough for three people. Serving the food on chop boards was a bit "out of the ordinary" for the style the restraunt was going for. Tables were awkwardly big.

Pretty good Chinese. I lived in China, so I've had these dishes A LOT these aren't what I was expecting, well not 北边的菜 (Northern Style). Possibly Malaysian Chinese? I have NEVER seen peas, carrots & corn in 麻婆豆腐 (Mapo Tofu)!真的吗?不行🙅。Also the 小茴香牛羊肉 奇怪 (cumin lamb, was weird I was hoping for something like 羊肉串 lamb kebab style). All in all OK, 还行吧。 If you want the Chinese dishes ask for the green menu! 😊

On the recommendation of our local host, instead of heading into Coffs for dinner, we went slightly north to Moonee Beach to this little gem. Rather than the usual red-infused country Chinese decor, we found a modern, casual setting with black subway tiles, wallpaper mural, string lights and blonde timber. (Just FYI, it is in a Coles shopping centre, but a proper restaurant.) The menu was succinct, but the dishes delicious. (Although the headings traditional and fusion made no sense to me with some regional Chinese fare listed as fusion.) The chilli we ordered on the side was the no-holds-barred-knock-your-socks of variety and it had us quite literally crying in heated delight! The pepper beef, Sichuan chicken and salt and pepper squid were all beautifully presented and tasty. The wine list was adequate and cheap. Food also well priced. What a lovely find when overnighting on the northern side of Coffs Harbour.

Never open during lunch. Do not rely on open hours as they just make it up as they go. Have driven there many times and it's a lottery if they can be bothered to be open. Lunch hours is not 11:30 to 2:30 as advertised on their menu or online. Gone there many times at 12:00 or 1:00 and they have closed doors and lights off. On the off chance they are open they seem to serve good food. Such a waste of time driving there for nothing. l keep giving them another chance but this is now 12 months ongoing and have lost me this time cause they are in the restaurant with lights off and closed doors. If they can't be bothered then l can't be bothered spending my money there.

My wife and I have eaten here quite a few times and introduced friends to this restaurant. The food is always fresh, tasty and comes in good portion sizes. For a shopping centre restaurant it’s surprisingly good so if you’re considering Chinese, Malay food give it a try. We’ll keep coming back.

My wife and I had a delicious meal at the Moon Dragon Chinese Restaurant this evening. Even though we arrived quite late the staff made us feel very welcome and made our dining out experience a special evening. My wife chose the beef with cashews and I chose the schezuan chilli chicken. The meals were very tasty, with generous sized servings and all very reasonably priced. The restaurant is licensed and again reasonably priced. I am quite happy to pay for the skills of the chef but I don't respect restaurants that charge over the top for drinks when their sole contribution is to remove a screw top cap. Thank you to the owners of the Moon Dragon for being fair and not taking advantage like this. In summary, I can highly recommend this restaurant for its great food, wonderful service and modern decor for a perfect evening and break from your own kitchen 🙂🙂 Sorry for the less than professional photo. We couldn't wait before tucking in.

I didn't think I would find a restaurant of this calibre in this little tucked away place. Absolutely first class food. The chicken and water chestnut spring rolls were divine. The sizzling beef with pepper sauce was amazingly tender and full flavoured. Finally, the slow cooked belly pork was outstanding, and proved that when you get a dish this succulent it puts all previous similar dishes to shame. I don't know if I will be able to find a dish of this quality anywhere else in future. Well done to the chefs at Moon Dragon. You guys are a credit to your cuisine.

Had the lunch set for $10, which consisted of a bog chunk of fried rice, some fried pork with sweet and sour sauce, and a soft drink. With such a big portion, I feel bad for only paying $10.

Great food, generous portion sizes and the prices are very reasonable too. Depends whose in the kitchen but the fried ice-cream being dished out recently has been first class!

Amazing food for a restaurant (with plenty of seating) in essentially a shopping centre. Highly recommended the degustation. So much food you'll need to take some home. Great value.

Absolutely amazing value! 5 of us had the 8 course degustation and still went home with 4 take away containers. Including two bottles of wine ..only $50 each. Dishes came out quickly, nearly all were delicious. Well worth it if you're anywhere near here
