Worst security in town they attack you when you simply ask for money back on drinks u paid for that you didn’t even get

Went a few weeks back with a bunch of mates. As the designated driver I wasn't able to drink, one of the bartenders offered me non-alcoholic drinks because of this and was very understanding of my situation. My friends had a great time apart from the fact that one of the Bouncers had accidentally bumped into one of my friends and fell over. The bouncer was very apologetic and seemed to really enjoy his job there, being a bouncer can be a very stressful job and I've had experiences in other bars and clubs where they'll abuse their authority, but not at Mooseheads. The only downside to this place is it can get crowded very easily, but if you don't mind crowds, then this is the place to be.

We are group of 3o's young professionals. Millenials! And the lighting ambiance was so pretty cool. Dj is not welcoming at all. 90 percent of the music are all from genz😅🙉. So we ended up to drink and watch after

Was in Canberra for work. This was seemingly the only place open. Got dragged into the nightclub by mates, but was pleasantly surprised. Very clean and tidy. Friendly staff. Nothing like the seedy nightclubs in Sydney from 20 years ago! Would definitely go back.

Upstairs moose was awesome, staff, drinks all of that was good. Downstaris moose security sucks, the guy didnt let our friend in without a reason why. He was the most sober in of our friend group. Mans power tripping hard here.

*This review refers to upstairs only* The DJs are misguided -Play the get downs, not the build-ups, staff are rude (not that I blame them, their jobs seem very tiring), and finally: there are too many creeps. If the 80's were a person, they would be rolling in their grave.

The vibe and atmosphere he was amazing. The only thing that I would say wasn't good was the bar had a sign up that said "no cash accepted only card"
Last time I checked pretty sure that was illegal in a bar and club at least.

Only been to upstairs. Right off the bat, the dance floor is too small, the music is a little too loud (speakers right above the dance floor). They closed really early when we came on Thursday so it wasn't too fun. It just felt like a club that was way too small.

One of the best club in Canberra.. We went here on Saturday and it was quite crowded... The dj was amazing as well.. The only problem is your not allowed to carry your drink to the dance floor and the dance floor is bit small.. But overall if you are in Canberra, this is a good place for a night out...

Not bad handling crowds, good lighting and layout, but far out the acoustics and sound is insanely blown out, songs blur into one high pitched tone coming out of the speakers, and it genuinely hurts your ear drums. No need for music to be that loud.

My experience was absolutely terrible come up and was trying to have a blast! I got pushed by someone then I got kicked out for absolute no reason I tried to ask security for a reason but they couldn’t give me one absolute bull

Moose in the afternoon has become somewhere quiet to have a drink with friends and easily hear them speak. Which makes a nice change from the horrible acoustics of other venues. But I can't give four stars as there are no zero alcohol beers available. Staff still friendly as ever.

Mooseheads is a vibrant dancing club that offers an unforgettable experience for young people . Located in the heart of the Canberra city, As soon as I step inside, I'm immediately captivated by the lively atmosphere and energetic vibes.The dance floor allows big room for guests to move freely and showcases an incredible sound system that bring you to another level.
The staff at Mooseheads are friendly, attentive, they clean floor roughly 5-10 mins. And they dedicated to ensuring that every guest has a fantastic time. It is an excellent choice for a memorable clubbing experience.

Me (italian) and an american mate, both exchange students at ANU, got rejected from upstairs moose because we don't have an Australian ID from a bouncer who surely wasn't Australian.
That is just racist and also hypocritical.

I’m an Indian settling in Australia ;moved in to Canberra recently (always kept in mind and believed the concept of world citizen, where it’s about me and my expertise, not my skin colour) . Tonight we were celebrating one of our dear friend’s farewell and ended up at this club. It was a multi lingual and cultural group. The Bartenders to be more precise 3 of them (all ladies) were I won’t say racist but way more than that , upon ordering 5 shots one of them literally started mothering us that she won’t serve us if we don’t gather in right front of her ( we were all next to each other standing against the bar by then) she was rude , fake authoritative & pretended as if she could throw anyone she wishes to. She for no reason asked one of our friend to open her sunnies which she did immediately, along with that she threw a comment as well : “if you piss me off I will throw you right away”. Because we raised question and asked her out for her rudeness we were literally intervened and asked to leave the premise within less than a minute. Mind you all, by this time we were just down with first drink and few of us were still on their firsts. All I want to say is the people working behind all these bar holds a responsible position which also has certain boundaries. These place and the people who runs it has no work ethics and no rules to follow. Hospitality professionals (the true ones ofcourse!!) are suppose to be much more than what we have experienced today. Mind it all, I am saying it because the team I was with today including myself hold an average of 15 years of hotel experience. It was just not done. The bouncers proved the ACT RSA rules wrong and neither they don’t abide by that and surely need more training. The club culture is probably no more for people like us who are above a certain age and experience in life and are not ready to be humiliated by people like these who are nothing but hooligans. SAD PLACE !!! Also, please refund my $40.42 which was paid at the counter for our 5 shots which were never served to us.

I was the only Chinese at the door for a while. I know the manager of the store likes to argue with me. When I had a beer and went out for a cigarette, he (Aidan? The Manager refused to let me in on the grounds that I was drunk. When I tried to ask him to step out of the (quieter) bar steps to explain, he repeatedly refused. So I had to explain to him over loud music outside the bar. So he thought I yelled at him. In vain, I queued up again to get into the bar, only to be denied entry because of my repeated attempts at yelling (explaining at the door of a noisy bar) and queuing. Of course, I was excited because it was the first time I had ever encountered this problem. This is not a suspicion of discrimination or teasing. But I want to say that it is powerless to judge people arbitrarily. Because the manager can't give a convincing reason, and I can edit logical text now. Other than that, I only had one beer and didn't get a chance to feel any more details, but the beer was fresh and the security staff was responsible.

I always go to the night club part on the second floor, never been disappointed yeah their floor are sticky but the entire vibe of the place and the fun times and people you run into are all amazing great place for a night out

Horrible experience. It was wayyyyy too crowded, i had tons of dudes constantly grope me and follow me around the club with almost no way of locating security due to the business. definitely did not feel likr a safe environment to dance in.

Food looked ok but did not taste great at all. Made us feel sick. We won't be returning here. The drinks were fine and service was good but deciding to eat something here was a mistake.

Edit: that lightning timed response has made my night🤣. I'm almost impressed. Sorry my life doesn't revolve around keeping up with a night club choosing to be lazy with their music choices! x💓 Maybe focus on prioritising the music choices over responding to reviews😘
Also when downstairs the security absolutely manhandled the heck out of a guy that didn't need to be manhandled. It was super messed up you guys x
Is the DJ at mooseheads aware that there are more musicians in the world than Taylor Swift that actually contain multitudes of talent and substance that she herself lacks..... two songs in row is almost forgivable, but when the whole night is just back to back that (over 4 times in a row)...🤢🤮

Don’t go there if you’re not a local. Every table reserved couldn’t sit near the window as the DJ needed a seat apparently and bar staff not real helpful. Did not feel welcome
