About Morayfield Tavern
Laid-back hotel adjoining a modern sports bar with a beer garden and a grill restaurant. Opposite Morayfield Shopping Centre, this modern pub with rooms is 1.5 km from Morayfield train station and 4.7 km from the Queensland State Equestrian Centre. Went today to have my birthday lunch with family and friends, where do I start…3 meals came out then 20 minutes later some more then 10 minutes later the rest so non of us really got to eat together.
One plate had a spider in there salad, the other salad was just old and wilted, I also ordered a cocktail to be told it would be over an hour wait but it took me to ask for it before I was even told…my husband got the seafood basket and the prawns were frozen defrosted mushy and the shell half peeling off crap and didn’t even get chips, for the price and you only get 3 prawns you would expect fresh for the price you pay, we wanted to try somewhere new but won’t try again which is disappointing.

Went on Wednesday meal was so good The staff were fantastic.Price was very good. We will be back The staff member who took us to our seat was so helpful and made us feel welcome.

We love our local tavern!
Such a great atmosphere that Josh and the team have going!
Doris is our absolute favourite lady in town! You will never find a nicer lady!
The new security they have working is the best! We had the pleasure of chatting with him today.
Come on down and meet Doris from behind the bar ! Jay from security will be there ready to ensure everyone is having the best time.

Visited for lunch on the weekend. The pub itself boasts a great atmosphere, and the staff were friendly and welcoming, which was a definite plus. However, I was a bit disappointed with the meal itself. My food arrived lukewarm at best, which was a letdown, especially since the flavors seemed promising. Despite this, I'd consider giving them another try in the future to see if things improve, as the setting and the service were quite impressive.

Very friendly staff. great meal sizes. Love that they now have activities for kids on Sundays (balloon making, face painting).

Very disappointed tonight we ordered for our family and no one ate anything. My daughters spaghetti bol tasted like tinned spaghetti, my son cheese burger had no flavour very pain chips were soggy and not salted. I ordered the mash and rissoles (I have ordered these a months ago they were great) bit unfortunately these ones were soo dry and the gravy was water. Every meal was bad we couldn't believe. The dogs liked it though.

Usually really good service and good food well i have only had the nacho fries 🍟 with avocado and bacon, just missed the bottle store as it is near home. So thaught id buy a drink after a long day working I was refused entry by security and management. 🙃 now I am enjoying a beer at the other local pub 😀 atmosphere/staff needs working on at the Morayfield Tavern.

The team were helpful and friendly from the second we arrived until we stepped out of the door to leave, the food was delicious, fresh and hot, not to mention extremely reasonable priced!
Would 100% recommend this venue to anyone looking for a good value, delicious meal with friendly and efficient service from the front of house team!!

The place was absolutely filthy we got In the door at around 6ish and was.just appalled by the state of the place. I wasn't even game enough to sit on the bed and there was things that were popping up everywhere. We had a look at the bed when we first got there to our surprise there was a spider under one of the pillows and it just got worse from there lol.we left at before 4 am as we just couldn't be comfortable either at the table or in the shower. It was really disappointing as my partner and I were trying to celebrate out 2 year anniversary.

The food is really expensive & the quality is average at best. Portion size would be acceptable for a cheaper price. Nice amenities, but nothing special about this tavern.

Service was excellent as was the location and facilities. Small request was accommodated by the reservations person without any issue or concern which was great. Atmosphere good and location also good. Very busy but meals delivered in a good time. They were nice but nothing I’ve rave about but pricing was higher than what I expect for that meal. Steak wasn’t really good to the level as requested. It was a very nice experience otherwise.

Our whole family had a lovely dinner. Food was divine especially the French schnitzels. A special thanks to Kylie who just went out of her way to make our evening great. Thank you very much Kylie.

Ordered dinner on a Friday, was around 40% full around 7pm. Didn't take long for food to come out. Everyone's meal was a decent classic pub size meal. Carbonara was exactly what you expect. Others said the same about their meals (steak, calamari and kids nuggets). Karaoke was busy and security did an amazing job when it got later in the night to keep it safe and enjoyable

New menu is very good parmys were huge steak was perfect. How ever the manager Allan tried to hit on my son's gf twice and then had the hide to take a seat behind my young pretty wife and have a crack a her too right in front of my face asking for her number.. but we didn't let that effect our night as the food and service was awesome.. someone needs to keep a eye on allan

My wife and I went for dinner tonight and got the rissoles withe mash , peas ,gravy and onion rings .
We were not disappointed, it was great .
The staff were brilliant and great to deal with .
Place was buzzing but nothing was a problem .

Me and my Fiancé had dinner at the tav tonight as I thought I’d give them another change and I can say that I was appalled.. I avoided this place before the Reno’s and I will be avoiding it after the Reno’s.
The app is a disaster.. our entrees and food were taken to different tables and upon checking we had got the table number right.. so unsure why?
Food was served room temp/warm.. but not fresh or hot,
I had to ask the staff at the counter for a sauce on the side for the Parmis as you don’t get the option to add a sauce, which we all know it’s a must for gravy. The price you pay it should come complimentary on the side. I asked for 2 and only got one so had to share..
The avocado was nothing like the pictures.. it was brown mush but the photos were avo slices. they used bacon bits which also weren’t very nice.. bacon rasher would have been the go. The chicken was pink in the middle so I stopped eating the rest of it.
The kids burger we got to try was disgusting.. Over cooked, burnt hard patty.
The price of food is quite high for what you get..
No one asked us how our food was.. We pretty much left disappointed, so unfortunately we won’t be back.

I had lunch last Sunday , with friends my mother and kids! The waitresses were absolutely amazing, the food was amazing and everyone was so nice!

Handy accommodation for a late arrival in area and very good value. Friendly, helpful staff. Modern rooms but a little unsure whether bedding was 100% clean. Quiet other than a little bit of noise when the punters left the pub.

Had the crispy skin barramundi for dinner tonight and it was amazing! So tasty and flavourful. Busy night but didn't have to wait long for our order to come out. Great food, service and atmosphere!

Had our family booked in for lunch today and the food was delicious! A small request for steak to be cooked longer with no hesitation the lovely staff even offered a complimentary drink. Kids eat free on a Sunday, had face painting and puppy cuddles on which was great for our group of kiddies. Such a great experience with the lovely staff here. Would recommend! 😃

Had my 60th birthday lunch there for 32 guess. Lovely meals, service was great and Josh and staff were fantastic.
Will have no hesitation in book future events.

Had a meal on Friday night 3 May 2024. The food was great although it would have been nice to get all at meals at the same time (there were 4 of us). It may have had to do because of a large table of possibly 8-12 people and busy as well.
The staff were all great.

Food was nice. 1 granddaughter got her meal 20mins before the rest of the family. Staff were rude and unhelpful.
Our first time vist did not encourage us to return, in fact if it was not for a lady called Kylie who took the time to assist my family, we would have left before ordering.

Despite the location, this venue offers fantastic service with great food and ice cold beers 🍻.
If you find yourself in the area make sure you pop in and try the food.

Couldn't fault our visit on Sunday. The food was excellent. The staff were friendly and efficient. The service was attentive. We will most definitely return. Bistro and facilities spotlessly clean.
