Wonderful meals large portion sizes. The oven roasted chicken had the perfect char on it and the salt and pepper calamari was crispy and well seasoned. Great service and staff as well.

We went down to the pub for food and the food was amazing but the servers were really rude, both my friend and I are adults but she is very short, and often gets mistaken for being a minor, the lady said rudely “can I help you” when we went to go into the pokies, my friend had her ID and showed it to the lady and she straight up thought it was a fake, we would have understood if she had just asked if she could ask a second opinion on it, she then asked me if I had my ID and I said no I don’t have mine on me and she said she couldn’t let me in and that is completely understandable but she should have handled the situation a lot better and shouldn’t have mistreated my friend just because she looks young and is pretty short.

We stayed at this hotel. It was a great experience. The room was very spacious and the kids really enjoyed. Only thing was that they did not give us the room even 5 mins earlier than the check in time. Most other hotels give the room if it’s ready even an hour prior to the check in time. But this hotel kept us waiting for 40 mins until 2 pm to give us the keys. It wasn’t a busy time and I think they could have given us the room a bit earlier. Other than that, everything else was perfect. They even had some bread and butter in the fridge for breakfast.

We stayed at the Motel above the 'Mornington Hotel' so that we could go to the Harry Potter experience nearby. The room was massive and had a small lounge area and big balcony. Not much to look at as it's just across the road from a service station/shops etc. Bathroom was enormous and the spa was great. There was bread, condiments, cereal and milk in the mini bar so you could have a quick breakfast in the room. It was reasonably priced, only real downside is the road noise making it difficult to sleep.

We had a very large, newly decorated room. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was huge with a spa bath and double sink. We ate in the restaurant and were pleasantly surprised. The food was really good. It came out piping hot. Pleasant and helpful staff. It’s a 2 minute drive from the centre of Mornington and right on the main road for everywhere else.

Wanted to stay at a place with a spa room within a reasonable distance of home so with the help of Google and a disappointment with another place, settled on this one. My initial impression with the room was that it was huge! Much bigger than it needed to be but good if I wanted to entertain. Despite being a Friday night it wasn't excessively noisy. I could hear noise from the bar but it didn't stop me getting to sleep. Room was very well maintained and they've had a renovation recently of a number of rooms as the paint smell was noticeable when I was in the room corridor. Loved it's proximity to a convenience store and the main street of Mornington. Loved the spa, the huge bed, the balcony, rear parking and the convenience of having the breakfast provisions in the cupboard and fridge. Thought the double shower was a great idea although sadly wasn't able to share it. Realised too late that there was a rubber mat in the bathroom cupboard. Could have done with it. I thought the spa should have a granny grab rail on the wall as it would make it safer to use.

Walked in and felt I’d chosen the wrong place. Nothing inviting in reception but once you go upstairs the vibe is different. Very modern, comfortable, huge room. Nice balcony area and massive bathroom. Everything you need is there. Super happy with the room. Issue: No soundproofing. Can hear everything from the sports bar below. There were guests who were slamming doors, ruining and yelling in hallways and being very rowdy until early hours of the morning. Nothing we could do but wait for it to stop. Left a bad taste so probably wouldn’t stay again as I really enjoy my sleep but if your tolerance to noise is good then this is for you.

Waited forever to check in at reception, I had to get someone from the bistro. The rooms were so loud, you could hear EVERYTHING happening, from doors closing, to cars, to people talking, running down hallways, could not get a decent sleep… very disappointing

Used to be my favourite pub. Always got the lamb shanks and were delicious. They have essentially cut the meal in half. Last night I got 1 lamb shank not 2. And half the mash and vegetable soup (this time it had mostly carrot in it, I guess carrot is cheap). Extremely disappointing. I had to go home and cook after receiving half a main. Thank you so much for making me do that very appreciated.

This place has now become our go to for meals to if we don't feel like cooking. The seniors meals are fantastic value for money ($20) and they have a great selection on their menu. Great service from the friendly, professional staff. Well done to the Mornington Hotel

The hotel rooms are on top of the Pub, however, you don't hear the noise. The hotel room guests get a parking on the same floor 1 as the rooms.|The bed is very comfortable and so are the pillows. The room size is quite spatial as well.|Good quality shampoo and conditioner are provided in the toilet.

Stayed last night when in town for the Harry Potter experience, can’t fault this little hotel to be honest, you get a very big room with a massive bathroom that is perfect for a family of four with a two person bed and two singles, breakfast cereal, bread for toast included in the room. Very clean rooms and overall perfect for what we needed. Only small negative is the checking in process, front desk is not always occupied by a staff member, sign said to contact bistro staff for help but I unfortunately there was nobody in there at the time either, after a bit of a wait a staff member ended up turning up. Also please be aware there is a lift in the bistro that goes up to the rooms that we were not made aware off until we struggled to get all our bags up the stairs.

Stayed here a couple of weeks ago on a whim. What a wonderful surprise! The rooms are modern and spacious and clean. Toast and cereal provided, tea, coffee and biscuits. We thought being over a pub it might be a bit average. Wrong! Price was very reasonable. We had dinner in the pub, a beautiful feed. Generous serves and a great price. The staff were all lovely. My partner is in a wheelchair and the rooms accommodated him very well. The only negative was they didn't have a shower chair but we managed without a problem. Close to the beach, more specifically the pier as we were there to go squid fishing. Highly recommend staying here!

Misleading customer by asking them to pay for deposit, even after they have fully paid for the room accomodation. We had to provide my Driver's licence, even before I complained about the excessive room price. AVOID THIS HOTEL COMPLETELY.

Great location, easy check in, friendly staff! If you're not an early rises the rubbish trucks may disturb some people. The cleaners really are the stars! Super kind and welcoming. They do an amazing job and should be recognised for their work. Thank you for putting the do not disturb sign on our door, my husband was having seizures and the cleaners were very supportive. I would recommend this place to stay!

Good sized family room. Be prepared to drive from here, though everything isn't too far away. Beds were well made and the rooms clean. Obviously been renovated recently and the rooms were nice. Do not be put off by the exterior or the location. This is a good find in mornington.

Friendly reception which swiftly dealt with the essentials.|The room was of a particularly decent size with plenty of furnishings including a sofa, table, and chairs as well as a large comfortable bed. |Quiet upstairs room.|It had a large bathroom with vanity and shower with fantastic water pressure and a good array of complimentary toiletries.|On-site restaurant which provided a wide range of meal choices for very moderate prices.|A wide range of complimentary breakfast choices was also made available in the room.|Well located for the local shopping centre as well as providing easy access to local roadways to surrounding districts and Melbourne City itself.

Finally, someone has woken up to the fact that seniors don't like their schnitzels dumped onto chips and then covered in gravy!||Mine was a beautiful meal, the best Chicken Schnitzel I have ever had, no kidding - beautifully crumbed, golden, juicy and sweet. Chips and salad to the side on a large plate, not piled together on a small plate, meant to point out that we are second-class citizens paying less than the rest of the crowd! ||The garlic bread that came with the two-course meal was gorgeous and I devotedly shared this with Himself Outdoors as I knew it would be too much for me to eat. You must try this and with the cheese added it only costs $3.||Extremely friendly staff - and our table was in a little alcove which was great - away from the "madding crowd". There is ample parking around the back of the hotel if you can't find a spot at the front - I highly recommend this Bistro for a quick and great value meal if you are passing through Mornington.

During our previous visit, we were disappointed to discover that the self-serve carvery, which we had come to enjoy, had been replaced with a Sunday roast. We were informed at that time that there was a possibility of the carvery being reinstated, which gave us hope. Consequently, prior to embarking on our 45-minute drive to the hotel yesterday, we took the proactive step of contacting your staff by telephone to confirm if the carvery was indeed back. To our delight, we were assured that it had returned. Unfortunately, upon our arrival, we were dismayed to find that the carvery was, in fact, not available as promised. This discrepancy was disheartening, especially after making the effort to double-check beforehand. Seeking resolution, we approached the manager on duty to discuss the matter. Regrettably, her response was lacking in empathy, and she offered no assistance to rectify the situation. Instead, she advised us to submit our complaint via email. As loyal patrons, it is disconcerting to encounter such a lack of consideration and professionalism. We understand that mistakes can happen, but the manager's unsympathetic attitude and failure to address the issue only compounded our disappointment. We believe that exceptional customer service is crucial in maintaining a positive reputation, and we feel let down by the way this matter was handled. We kindly request that appropriate measures be taken to ensure that all staff members, particularly those involved in food service and communication with guests, are well-informed about the differences between a Sunday roast and a carvery.

DECENT HOTEL IN ONE OF THE MAIN STREETS OF MORNINGTON Rooms are spacious and there is a sports bar / restaurant on the ground floor. The entry to the hotel rooms is up a fairly steep set of stairs. people with mobility issues can use a lift at the rear of the ground floor restaurant.
