We went here tonight, for the first time in more than fifteen years. We ordered the lamb roast of the day, a rib fillet, and cheesy garlic bread.
Beckie and the team were brilliant, and super friendly.
The meals were perfect, absolutely huge, and came piping hot to the table.
I highly recommend.

Went here for a family birthday. Service was pretty quick to serve approx 10 of us. I think the playground outside is a good idea. The food was average to be honest. The steak was drenched in a rich sauce. And the fish was super dry. I like the idea of the seniors meal and it looked delicious. Too bad i couldnt get it the fish looked jucier than mine

Went here as a mutual location to meet family.
This has a playground for the kids and a small entertainment area too.
The ordering from the table left no area for changes or addons to meals.
Service fee for ordering .
Meals for the kids arrived in an ok time.
No ice creams which were in the price of the meals.
Additional steamed vegies had a hair in it. The kids pizza also had a black short curly hair in it (long straight dark brown blonde person here) and the kids drink had ants in it.
The parmigiana chicken was burnt and the vegetarian (only option for someone who chooses not to eat meat) toppings were not to the edge of the pizza.
2 adults 2 kids meals, glass of wine, 1 glass of lemonade, latte and 2 kids drinks (included int he meal) $100
Honestly over all we won't be back.

Went for a friend's birthday, staff were nice helpful and friendly, the place was clean the prices weren't too bad either.

We had Black Friday Lunch at Mt Gravatt Hotel and ordered Eye Fillet, Ribs & Spicy wings. The staff is so friendly, and food were delicious, good quality meal.
Best part is we paid "half price" just shown the ads.

We attended on a Saturday night and sat outside by the playground area. The staff were great, very efficient and very friendly but I found it weird that no one greets you at the door. You walk in pick a table, scan the barcode to order and then wait.. first encounter with a staff member is when they drop off food at the table.
The food was very underwhelming to say the least. We mostly ordered steaks - each one of us asked for the steaks to be cooked differently, but seems like the steaks were cooked the same. All medium rare with a pool of blood around the mash potato. Steamed veges were giving microwaved and the sweet potato wedges were a let down! (Usually a crowd favourite but this time, not so much. Would I recommend?? Absolutely not! Plus it’s overpriced and vibe was dead, need live music, or just music in general.

Was there for a wake after my uncle's funeral.. we had the verandah for our group of 60 or so people .
We had hot finger food . Sandwiches 🥪 and cakes with tea and coffee ☕..
The service was great as always there was plenty of food to go around..
We had the area for about 2hrs I think.. they did everything we needed In A comfortable environment.. it was a good send off for my uncle whose family grew up in the area not far from the hotel...
We have been patrons of the hotel for many many years and have watched it transform over the year. It is a great local hotel with all the mod cons...
Would recommend it for a dinner with friends and family or your next function... Thank you mt Gravatt hotel... You did great 👍..

The food is constantly good, and value for money, steak.is perfectly cooked, and the chips and vegetables are cooked properly

The buffet Xmas day wasn't the best..$130.. under cooked vegetables. And over cooked seafood..lobster tasted like rubber..prawns were soft and old. Oysters were no where near fresh..pitty.

So I know everyone either says either "the best food" or "the worst" when reviewing making it a little difficult to genuinely gauge.
I want to be to be known that I am not exaggerating or emphasizing when I say this.
This was genuinely the most sub par parmi I have ever had at any restaurant. And possibly the most sub par I have had of all time.
The chicken is of the lowest quality I'm surprised is even being ordered. That dense rubber flat non textured glue together chicken in a crumb. I'd consider changing suppliers. When it came out only half of the parmi had sauce and cheese on it. I would have thought you would have tried to hide the chicken atleast. Was also overcooked.
Chips were over salted pretty severely (couldn't eat on their own)
Salad was what I would expect although a little interesting the tomato component was a quarter tomato in on slice.
$28 for a plate that couldnt even top a Woolworths $2 crumbed chicken
That's the 1 star for the food.
The one star for the service is because the service was practically non existent, you order with your phone from the barcode on the table. It still asks for a tip? pretty stingy / insulting asking for tip when no service had actually been received. Didn't eat the parmi and when waitress came to pick up 2x un eaten parmis from the table no comments were made, not expecting any but a "how was your meal" after seeing uneaten meals could be a good Segway from some in person feedback.
1 star for atmosphere, wobbly table and kids running back and forth fighting eachother within arm's length of our seating. Had to shoo them away so we could continue our conversation.
All in all biggest gripe is with how sub par food was, genuinely feel scammed. Parmi looked nothing like the picture on the webmenu

Really helpful and patient staff, beautiful food (big servings!), and VERY yummy cocktails. The quietly busy atmosphere means you can have a conversation without yelling. They have both kids and seniors options that are great value. Kid's playground looks awesome.

New to the area and wanted to check out the new local for some dinner.
Extremely disappointed to see that this pub is serving processed meat and selling it as a “chicken parmy” and for $28 too is an absolute disgrace. Never in my life had I been served dross like this.
I can’t fault staff, they were great, accommodating and had no issues swapping my “parmy” for something else.
I opted for the chicken breast after I was assured it was legitimate chicken breast and it came out dry, over cooked and just bland.
My only regret about this visit was not reading the reviews first. The issue of the processed meat being sold as legit meat seems to have come up multiple times.
Wake up and smell the coffee, mount Gravatt hotel! Listen to your customers and start serving proper food.
Whether you choose to or not, I will not be returning to find out.

l will put it out there and say it's the best pub steak cooked perfectly in town. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.. too bad about the service.

Lovely place for an evening with friends or family. Food was decent, excellent service and polite staff. We ordered chicken parmigiana, veg supreme pizza and a 3rd item can’t remember the name(mushroom balls or something). Pizza was very tasty. Chicken was a bit dry and the sauce with mushroom balls was too sour. The lime lemon bitters drink was the best of all.
We had a better overall experience at the club Southside in upper mount gravatt but this one’s worth a visit too.

If I could give 0 stars I would.
We had our little one christening celebration and it started bad and only got worse with them ruining the cake. I spoke with someone to book and stated we wanted food 1230pm and all at once. I arrived at 1220 to find my mum had been asked when we wanted food.
Food was so overpriced it was ridiculous. Pizza were maybe the only thing worth the cost.... our cheese platter was tiny (plate not a platter) and they didn't even bring out the Turkish bread (didn't realise at the time) and we had ask for more crackers. Pizzas were all over place and we had to ask which was which as ordered few GF and vegan ones.....
Glass got dropped and we informed staff so it could be cleaned. I told young girl where it had shattered and she still only cleaned up small area; we had small kids playing and lucky none took shoes off as we adults were still stepping on pieces.
When my aunty who had spent whole week making and decorating the cake went in to get it, it was bought out with massive dent in the side..... she was extremely upset 😡 and only got little I'm sorry. My hubby went in to speak with them and all they could say was they spoke with aunty and said sorry....
I really expected a manger or owner to step up and say proper apology and offer some compensation for the damage.... but nothing.
I am so upset with whole thing, I was totally stressed and was unable to eat anything as all the food came out in dribs and draws and was gone so quickly. I went here as a kid and loved it and had alot recommendations from people.
I have and will continue to let everyone know our experience so people are warned of potentially heartbreaking situation they could end up in.

Hubby and I always have a lovely steak and always cooked exactly how it should be. The young lady who served us and brought out our food is also absolutely lovely.
The disappointment we have is in the venue itself. It’s in need of urgent repairs and to be sitting inside with bits of the wall about to fall down is not appealing at all. The whole place looks sad and really needs a revamp. Please try and do something with this place as so many locals want to continue coming here but it really is in a sad state of affairs.

Great service by Simon who greeted and served us. He was very friendly and personable and our whole table noticed his fantastic customer service. Meals were great and the atmosphere was very family friendly and relaxed. Would definitely go there again and recommend friends.

Great place to take younger children for dinner. However, it's a pity that they don't have a few more things to keep them busy and enjoying themselves in the kids room! The playground equipment is good but a little bit more effort wouldn't hurt. The kid's fish and chips are good, but the hamburger is horrible - more effort here would be appreciated. I still would recommend for those who have 3-4yrs olds despite the fact that some of the food could be better. The steak was nice but pretty expensive but no more expensive than other pubs.

Great food! Staff were lovely and came to check on the meals part way through, also asked if we were done before taking the plates away. Great outdoor seating area, mostly shaded.

Great Establishment Very Clean The Food was Fantastic we had the Rump chips and salad x2 and and the stuffed chicken with Camembert cherry tomato's The Staff were exceptional the restaurant itself was wonderful not over crowded and plenty of space to move around Great for functions and birthdays etc. Also great place to meet up with your friends and family .
Thankyou for your wonderful hospitality I will definitely recommend this place to my family and friends .

Food was not good tonight. We had the curry, which was watery with only a couple of bits of meat, as well as the chicken parmi. This was an overcooked supermarket processed piece of chicken, with half a thin slice of supermarket ham and a tiny sprinkling of cheese. All meals were oversalted - we could only eat a little of them. The only bright point was Lachlan, the barman. Do yourself a favour and give it a miss!

First time at the venue.
The food was brilliant. 8 people, 10 dishes. Every dish was spectacular. Best pub meal/s we’ve had for a long time.
Paid the chefs tips… 33%, even after 5% with the meal app.
Will become a new fav!

Extremely Disappointed. Booked the terrace for our grandson's christening. The so-called platters were minimal & very overpriced. Food came out late sporadic and people were left hungry and waiting - had to keep asking where it was. No labels for food to distinguish GF/Vegan. Catering is not their strong point. We gave them the christening cake to put in their cool room with strict instructions on how to handle it and it was presented back to us with a huge dent in the front of the cake. Not only was the cake damaged, devastating us all, but it made photos and memories difficult, and instead of joy, there were tears and very upset family on the day.
I would expect management to have at least offered some form of compensation for ruining an expensive cake and ruining our day. Overall poor food, little of it, overpriced - no value for money.

Excellent restaurant and the food came straight away from the kitchen and bar staff was friendly and helpfully and excellent Monty’s card save 5% off meals and drinks and pokies room was fresh and clean

A huge thank you to Narissa and her staff for hosting my birthday last night, the staff were friendly and very helpful, they catered for all 30 of its with big smiles and nothing was a bother
The chef was fast, efficient and the food was great.
