We stopped here for lunch and Mt Tyson was the only place open on Saturday afternoon - I'm glad it was because the food was absolutely delicious. We had the fish of the day and it was amazing. I would highly recommend going here.

We stayed 2 nights here, the rooms were so modern and clean! Air con was amazing, Wi-Fi very good, t.v. with lots of channels. Had a small kitchen in our room with a toaster, kettle and fridge. The beds were comfy and room spacious. We shared a bathroom but it was right across the hall and very clean, was like we had our own. Staff in the bar are friendly and helpful! The food is also good! We checked out early and had a long stay here all day until our bus. A lovely lady who was cleaning opened up one of the rooms for us to have a lie down, watch telly and hot drinks. This was very much appreciated!

We have been to Mt Tyson Hotel in 2016 and 2017 while travelling and working in North Queensland and have absolutely loved the service in the bar and our meals were fantastic everytime , cheers 🥳😎👍👍🍹🍺🍸🍹🍺🍺 we're in Innisfail Queensland now . Can't wait to visit you guys for a relaxing few days from Alison and Norm . 2 happy customers always .

The refurbished rooms above the pub are clean and comfortable. Check in was at the bar below and even though we arrived without a booking and probably an inconvenient time they were friendly and accommodating.

Super friendly and helpful staff, always clean and tidy rooms, clean bathroom and good shower pressure, clean water, excellent food downstairs in the pub (decent prices, good food and large portions), air con and fans all work, great location, thankyou!

Play ground is great for kids. Beer was expensive and rib fillet steak very ordinary. But service was fast and friendly

Nice breezy pub with cold beer, very patriotic with the Aus flag painted over the entire ceiling.

Mirrors- the restaurant attached to this great pub has the most delicious Chicken Parmi and the meals are enough for two. Great, quick service and fab location. I come here at least once a month when I visit friends in Tully

I think I mixed up a previous review about this hotel with another one, so here is what I intended to say about this hotel. We stopped in here to have lunch & were very pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere of this place. The staff were ultra friendly & couldn't have been more helpful. We met some characters in the pub as well with that old fashioned dry sense of humour that you only find in small country towns such as Tully. It was a nostalgic trip as my cousins'father had lived in the town & they were retracing footsteps. It was enjoyable sitting having our meal at the window & watching the passing parade of townsfolk, some of whom stopped to talk to us. One of my cousins had worked at a hotel before & she was very impressed by the meal which was like a home cooked meal. Great value & more than we could eat. I would certainly visit this place again. Apparently the accommodation has been refurbished since the last major cyclone & they are quite impressive. If you want authenticity, visit this hotel. It's the Bottom Pub.

I don't like leaving negative reviews but the lady on duty in the restaurant today went out of her way to be as miserable as humanly possible. She snapped at my children and I as we walked in (I was walking directly to the bar where she was serving) that I had to sign the children into the indoor play area. I explained I was about to do that (hence why I was 3 feet from the bar where the sign in book sits and getting closer). She then barked that the children need socks and when I explained they did, she scowled. I explained we would like to order breakfast and she looked even more unhappy, saying that wasn't possible. I explained we'd been in the evening before and the nice lady serving had already provided menus so the children knew what they wanted. This also upset her. She toasted the children's sandwiches, even though when asked I said untoasted. I asked for a 3 shot latte and she served a very weak coffee, but as her manner was so angry and intimidating I was too scared to say anything. She then proceeded to stomp around, looking very grumpy and the children kept asking me why she hated her job so much.
The night before, and on all other occasions we've been here the staff have been lovely and friendly.
This lady might benefit from channelling some of her negative energy into getting orders correct and work a little harder at not making customers feel so uncomfortable. She could also watch other staff at work at the hotel and try and emulate their polite and kind approach to others.

Great place. Friendly staff. Drinks and meals are responsible. From the outside it looks terrible. But dont judge abook from its cover. Once inside you will be delighted with the place

Good night stay here at the Hotel. Clean and tidy. Friendly staff. great to sit and mix with the locals. Close to all shopping and also dining facilities there. Which we didn't use as the Tully dart club(hotel sponsor the tully darts) gave us a fantastic meal.

Food was OK and vibe was great from patrons although the older lady in the restaurant was sour faced and unfriendly which made ordering anything uncomfortable, sometimes a smile or basic manners can be a world of difference.

Fantastic value meal and drinks.
Staff super friendly.
The Tyson Burger (burger with the lot) is MASSIVE, delicious and great value.
Will definitely return next time we are down south!

Dropped in here for lunch, unexpectedly, on way home fromTully Gorge. Passer by said this pub. My gosh what a meal, and value for money. Do yourself a favour and drop in to this pub. We all were very impressed by our meals. Two of us had the roast special, pork, and others had parma and a burger. $15.00 lunch special for the roast and other were around d the $25 dollar mark, definitely work a stop in your travels.

Delicious meals in both the restaurant and the public bar. Giant Australian flag painted on ceiling of public bar worth a look. Publican and staff all friendly and helpful. Locals call it the bottom pub because there's another pub just up the main street from the Mt Tyson Hotel. Lol.
