Very nice place to stay, waitresses are very friendly and drinks are good at low prices. On Fridays free dinner if you order any drink. Would definitely come again!

This is my new favourite Aussie pub 😀 and we absolutely loved it. It is very spacious, fantastic outdoor seating, and it is a good clean facility. Most importantly, we received a great customer service that was offered by Maddie during our visit today (27 Dec 2022) afternoon. She is absolutely legendary running the place and offering fantastic customer service 👏 🙌 👌 😀 ❤️ thank you, Maddie 😊
Also, 4 pm to 7 pm was the happy hour with fantastic prices 😀 will revisit again for sure 😀

The toilets have reflective tiles one the ceilings. So the staff come in and look what you’re doing on the toilet. Massive invasion of privacy and certainly not legal. When told the staff how inappropriate it was, was told to speak too the boss about it.
I would not recommend going to a place like this. Especially when you’re being looked at like this without your knowledge or permission. I’m seriously so shocked by this.

The owner is creepy guy who fights girls when told that in his club a girl has been spiked. He also doesn’t get involved when girl nearly getting bashed out the front. Instead starts screaming at the girls saying there lairs. This club is horrible no woman should ever feel safe here. I have made police report and will be making a statement against them as no one should feel unsafe to tell security they friends been spiked and then get yelled and told ur lair for it. Shout out to all the girl partners tho lovely people.

The girls working the bar downstairs are genuine C U Next TuesdayS and shouldn’t be working in customer service.

The burgers are delicious, normal cut chips I think would have been better. The staff are very pleasant. Atmosphere was nice and relaxing at lunch time.

Thank you for sharing your honest reviews. We are coming to Wollongong for a visit and organizing our week. This is not somewhere we want to walk away disappointed from.

Started off as a good night when there was 8 people in the venue but the service slowed down once more people arrived. Food was good but unreasonable staff. Took 25 mins to get a drink out and they were in smaller glasses than our previous order.
I suggest your staff wear name tags as there were a selected few that were rude!

SHAME MR. CROWN!
Went tonight for their $10 cocktails. Their menu says classic cocktails for $10. Upon ordering and paying $48 for three cocktails, I questioned the bar staff. They said only 5 cocktails from the list were $10. I had to explain that their menu said differently and that all classic cocktails were $10 and that we wanted a refund of the difference. They then proceeded to ring their boss who said they couldn't do the refund. We refused to eat dinner there so we finished our drinks and went elsewhere

Nice place, atmosphere, staff, and drinks. I'd highly recommend the $15 cocktail jugs. For 4 glasses worth it's definitely worth the money.

Lunch specials are back! $10 or $15 with a beer or wine. Great value and great staff. A great place for a quick mid week lunch.

I would love to share more about my experience at Mr Crown. However, two attempts within the space of a day failed to yield any service. Initially, hoping to have lunch, our party was informed that Chef did not turn up today. Later, after a leisurely twilight stroll along the beach, we endeavoured to rest there with a drink while we waited for a nearby takeaway establishment to process our order. One of our party was wearing flip-flops, aka thongs. Another was wearing sandals. The sandals were deemed appropriate. The flip-flops were not. Far be it from me to determine the dress codes of beachside town establishments but it did feel as though we had strayed into the 1960s. And not in a pleasant, nostalgic way. Suggest moving forward with the times.

Great value lunch for $12 and cheap beers.
Burger was great, tasted flame grilled and chips very crunchy with good seasoning.
Bar staff were great and atmosphere is the best in Wollongong
Will definitely be going back there for lunch!

Gone are the good old days of the Glasshouse Tavern, a place etched in the collective memory of Wollongong's nightlife. For years, it stood as a shining beacon amidst the monopoly of RDL, a ruling empire that seemed impervious to change.
Back in its prime, the Glasshouse Tavern was a hub of excitement and camaraderie, where the young and restless would gather, hoping to create memories that would linger long after the night had ended. The music, the laughter, and the dancing created an atmosphere that could only be found within its hallowed walls.
However, not all was rosy in the world of Wollongong nightlife. There was a time when the Glasshouse Tavern found itself in the headlines for all the wrong reasons. It earned the dubious honor of being named the state's second most dangerous venue. Fights were not uncommon, and the rowdiness of the crowd often overshadowed the carefree spirit of the place.
Amidst all the chaos, there was one beacon of light that could be found, a figure that stood out in the midst of turmoil. That was Clementine, a super-friendly and easily approachable security guard. Clementine was a fixture at the Glasshouse, a guardian angel of sorts. While the place had a reputation for trouble, Clementine's presence was a reassuring reminder that not all was lost.
With a kind smile and a calming presence, Clementine would navigate the tumultuous sea of patrons with grace and compassion, diffusing tense situations with a word and a gesture. His dedication to keeping the place safe while allowing everyone to have a good time made him a beloved figure in the eyes of regulars.
As time moved on, the Glasshouse Tavern eventually faded into the annals of history, a relic of a bygone era. The monopoly of RDL may have crumbled, and the venue itself may have been deemed dangerous in its heyday, but the memory of that super-friendly security guard named Clementine still lingers, a testament to the good that could be found even in the midst of chaos.

Cool.place in a great location. $5 pints Sunday to Thursday and you need to be here for the Friday Pork Roast.

Came here on a Thursday night, it was dead. Bar staff looked and acted like they'd just come back from a funeral.
$4 for mushroom gravy!!! $3 for mayo the size of a Maccas sauce!!!
It took over 30 minutes for a cheeseburger and chips to arrive. Even though our table was the only one to order food.

Bit expensive but good location, stopped by to have drinks with colleagues. The staff was very friendly. It has outdoor sitting, perfect for sunny day. Parking was bit an effort, 15 min parking Monday to Friday till 4:30pm. Overall I would say decent place to have drinks with friends.

Been banned from here for the past 5-6 months and still won't be let back in because someone put a roofie in my drink, vomited and passed out.
I've seen, and heard of people getting barred from here for much worse things like violent brawls or people getting stabbed, but you'd think after so much time they'd let someone with such a benign altercation back in, but every time i try to talk to them they just tell me to go away.
I would recommend going to a different venue, The harp hotel which is just around the corner from Crown, provides a much safer and fun atmosphere, with karaoke and 3 dance floors and plenty of outside room for smoking and also features pokies.
It's also a great place to go if you genuinely want to go meet new people and make some friends, Most people go to crown just to dance with their small friend groups, people aren't really interested in talking there, unless you've done something to seriously impress the crowd.
Crown is, and always will be a decrepit representation of everything wrong about the nightlife in Wollongong, don't go there, unless you want to be thrown out for things like dancing too good, which is also likely to get you kicked out :/

Arrived at 12:30pm for $10 lunch special which finishes at 2:30pm, was told they had run out of food, and couldn't even serve us chips and gravy. Will never come here again. False advertising at its best.

Although I don't know what it's like at night, I can say it's a great place to visit on a sunny day for a pub lunch! Located on the newly gentrified Crown Street, Mr Crown has a nicely relaxed beer garden and amazingly good $12 Lunch Specials with a $5 beer/wine! 😋👌 The meals are a decent size, especially for only $12, and their crunchy, golden chips are particularly delish!
I can also highly recommend the $10 Happy Hour Cocktails (4-7pm)... and even better is the Friday Happy Hour $7 Margarita Cocktails and Pizzas... they really hit the spot without hitting your hip pocket!😋🍹🍕😉👌
Weekdays lunches are popular with the local office crowd, so it can get busy just after midday. Also, parking can be tricky, but there's a Woolworths car park just one block away! 😉

$9 for the smallest glass of wine I've been served and the sauvignon blanc was room temperature, even though they served it out of the fridge. I asked for ice. They need the lines on the glasses like everywhere else I've been in the last 10 years. Next time I'll order something in a bottle. I didn't try the food but they do have a $10 lunch special (Tuesday to Saturday), which I'd like to try.

160 people reservation 2 people in the bar 20+ minute wait time wouldn’t allow 1 minute after happy!!!! Couldn’t order food till after 8pm?? Honestly management??? We gave up honestly, going elsewhere!!! If I could give 0 stars absolutely would!!!!!
