Went on the Thursday for schnitzel was a huge wait and food was served burnt and dry. Was given vouchers for our next visit come in Monday and got steak this time med rare was well done and the rare was boarderline well done and both cold. Chips were hot and the salad was good but overall disappointing 2 meals in a row were such a let down. Food used to be flawless. And both nights we waited 40+ minutes.
Need more staff in the bar poor bloke on his own was run off his feet.

We had a function for a 60th birthday in the beer garden. The staff were amazing and couldn't help us enough. We had all the platters available and they were filled with amazing bites.
I highly recommend this establishment for functions. Thank you Mt Pleasant Tavern, our night of celebration was great.

We booked lunch for 20 people and had a good time. Food was great as usual, service was friendly and accommodating. Always reliable and consistent. Never disappointed. We will be back. 😁

Walked into the dining area at lunch with a friend and our children. We were greeted with a very, very rude staff member ( unfortunately didn’t get her name ) . Didn’t eat there, took our children and left.. Safe to say I won’t be dining there anytime soon… Understaffed isn’t a reason to be nasty to customers. Cheers

The last few times we've come here Zohar's service has always been exceptional. Always goes above and beyond to make sure everything is all good. All of the staff here are very nice as well highly recommend coming for a feed. Thank you

The Head chef Jarrod, took additional care in personally making sure my dietary requirements were met. Mel who served me, was lovely and very friendly. I can not rate this establishment more highly! The atmosphere, and all the staff were very welcoming and friendly, including the new bar staff

Schnitzel was delicious! Lots of choice for toppings, i could easily eat there once a week

schnitzels were great, big variety. TEAM GODFATHER STAND UP! However no more lamb salad. BRING IT BACK! good serving sizes. Do not order large unless your a big fat pig, regular was more than enough for hungry peeps. The kids loved the free ice cream with the kids meal, with beautiful lovely flavours not just vanilla chocolate or strawberry. The only weird thing was when on the tv there was a fighting match or something and the volume was on so it kinda ruined the atmosphere of my birthday. Anyway overall great place for any event. Remember do not be a fat pig and order large!!!

Really want to say thankyou to Jess who made our experience fantastic, in the pokies/ sports bar really was amazing she has gone out of her way with her incredible customer service.
She deserves a promotion honestly. Thanks Jess again we will be back!

Nice atmosphere, family friendly as evidenced by the number of families present. Good menu items, we had the Lamb Shanks. Can't go wrong there! They are very proud of their schnitt's. Our other couple enjoyed theirs, so all good there. Recommend as a reasonable place to go.

My partner had the chicken snitzel chips and salad looked like pre-made one tough horrible seasoning flavour to it her sister had calamari chips and salad calamari was brought in frozen piece looked like crumb tasted disgusting soggy crumb I had fish chips and salad fish brought in frozen batter horrible and soggy chips were slightly warm at best salad dressing disgusting brown salad dressing don’t know what it was never seen it before overall experience very poor will not be eating there again. I have experience as prep chef and back of house a 1 star rating from me

Jace was an absolute pleasure to deal with at the TAB bar. level of service was Commendable. Unfortunately staff members who had previously finished and were obviously intoxicated felt the need to start an argument with him during service. Apart from that the food and atmosphere were great!

I seriously thought about 5 stars for this one. I only give 5 stars after mutiple good visits or everything is exceptional.
I was here for an 18th with 18 people on a Sunday lunch.
The food was very nice, the staff were very accommodating.

Impeccable service soon as you entered the front doors, and the food on top of that was amazing. Couldn’t thank the staff more for such a great night thanks to their attentiveness. Definitely will be back again 😄

I had the eye fillet for a gluten free and dairy free meal, the staff, Agnes were wonderful and attentive and very helpful.
I give the food 4 stars because of the selection, they only have the steak as a gluten free option- which is certainly good they have a couple!
I'd love to see more diversity in options but all over very nice mash potato and salad with steak

I come here all the time to the point they almost feel like family! Easily one of my favourite places to dine. Always so friendly and welcoming. Beautiful and prompt service. Food is always great. So much so that it’s one of the only places I can rely on always having a great meal. The food looks great that even my picky eater will always try whatever I get. Which is great except now we always spilt a plate when I want a full one haha

House of Snitzel, I do not think so, worse than a rubber boot. Poor service, takes 3 staff to work out where you are sitting, takes 10 minutes to get a beer and put on the Keno. What ever happened to good Service??

Had an amazing start to the night with the Mushroom Arancini Balls, they were amazing.
But the mains were very sad, had the rump steak very dry and over cooked.
The King Avocado Schnitzel the seasoning on it was very over powering and the crumbing was very soggy.
The staff working were wonderful just a shame about the main meals

Had a great dining experience, friendly staff and such lovely atmosphere and ambience. Korean fried chicken was the best I’ve had in Mackay, crispy and tasty… was not expecting the battered & boneless version but nevertheless it was delicious. Added on salad which was fresh and tasty with the dressing. The only disappointment I had was that they sold out of the Mount Pleasant share board which I was looking forward to try. Definitely recommend this place :)

Great service, last minute booking for 10 people, food was great, order came quickly, nice wine, kids happy too with playground and choc machine!! Dani and Leanne the stand out staff 👏

Great service, GREAT FOOD! Ladies helped explain the new pay method. Loved their was a good choice of “Specials” !! Was my partners first time to Mackay and asked what’s a good tavern, and I said Mount Pleasant! He wasn’t disappointed. The welcome we got was very lovely especially when I said I just proposed to my man! 🏳️🌈 LGBTIQ friendly as well! :)

Great place for lunch! Never had a bad meal. Gets a bit loud but that's to be expected when it's always busy.

For a pub meal, it was above what I expected! Fast and fresh. They even have a few unique things like the Korean fried chicken and arancini in the $30 platter! The Veges in the mains could be better tho, like I was really missing some roasted pumpkin.... But all in all, I was satisfied and will come again :) (and the digital ordering/payment system was very cool)

Drinks over priced. Chicken snich over done. Staff need to smile. Staff need more training in dinning room service. Respect to staff and customer would be nice too.

Bad ordering system. We recieved 1 meal from our order of 5 while other parts of the table recieved their meals. Other people at our table were eating other people's meal. Lucky the food was nice.
