We were super impressed with the great menu, including kids meals that suited my children who have multiple allergies. The young guy looking after us was friendly, had an excellent memory and kept us well looked after. We’ll be back for sure.

We went to Murphy's pub as a family group on13/10/2023. The place was full and after a short 5 minute wait our pre booked table became available and we sat down to catch up as we hadn't seen each other for quite a while.We were having a great time chatting and drinking and none of us noticed the time passing.Completely unannounced, without any of us asking how long our meals would be, a waiter appeared at the table and announced the house would give us a free round of drinks as they knew we had been waiting.
Because of this outstanding customer service, and also the excellent quality of the food , great atmosphere, and friendly and efficient wait staff I would recommend this pub to anyone who visits Geelong and is looking for a great night out

We took a day trip from Melbourne to Geelong and stumbled upon Murphy's for lunch – what a fantastic find! We opted for the rooftop seating, which offered an amazing view, and the atmosphere had a charming beer garden vibe. The food was delicious, and the cocktails were a massive hit with me. After our meal, we had an awesome time playing pool in the pool room, complete with the option to choose our favorite tunes from an iPad – what a great touch! We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will definitely be back. 😊

Went for an end of year work catch up on The Rooftop. They were able to accomodate 20 people with a couple of weeks notice. The staff were lovely, the service was quick and the drinks were cold. The food was great, with the kid’s portions being quite generous. The view of the bay was awesome, and there was just an all round laid back and relaxed atmosphere. Thanks Murphy’s, we will definitely be back!

We had a great time catching up with friends on a table in the rooftop bar. Fantastic views of the city and bay. Had the salt and pepper calamari which I enjoyed. Everyone enjoyed the meals and the staff were great. The music section down stairs looked like everyone was enjoying it. I will be back on my next visit to town.

Venue was great especially the view. We ordered two parmas but they tasted quite dry and microwaved. We were both quite let down, especially with a $30 price tag on each. Great place if you want a drink, but I wouldn't go back there for the food. :( Sorry for the honest review.

This is the second time we’ve done the Bottomless Brunch.
Both times Jack has been exceptional!
Hope he is well looked after by the company because he is a very talented, lovely hospitable young man.

the tuesday parmi nite is the best in geelong. I always have the mexican, no others as it cannot be improved on at all. service was great except for the fact we stood around for probably 5 minutes waiting to be attended to and I think staff could have been a bit more attentive then. their service was great after that, but a little customer service common sense would have made a good evening a little better...also got to say when we were first attended to the waiter asked us if we were ok, I replied didnt u see us standing around? and he would have as he walked past us several times. I know he was busy as he was carrying plates, but he could have acknowledged us as he walked past and he didnt. he immediately got defensive and had a tone in his voice...bud, that wasnt cool...if u dont respect customers enough to have some self control u need to deal with that....I do add though after that (and I was worried if I upset him could my food be spat in....) his attitude and service was great...but I shouldnt have to worry if the little people are also the spiteful little people. I was a waiter for over 10 years (now Im just a well to do businessman) and not once did I ever give a customer attitude.....Murphys, u have a great restaurant, fantastic parmis...please pay attention to detail and dont let stupid little things affect greatness. lol...respect the parmi!!!

The lad that served us was wonderful, sorry I didn't get his name. We had a couple of disappointments however as we ordered a garlic and cheese bread as a starter and after a bit of a wait our steak mains came out. I said to the waitress we haven't received our starter. She went to the kitchen and came back and said flippantly Öh they forgot - it is on it's way". We also said we don't have the garlic butter with the steak, so again she checked and we got the exact same response on her return. We had nearly finished our steaks when the starter came out! It wasn't busy at the time as it was 6 pm for our arrival.

Staff were helpful and friendly. I had a burger, quite small and about $30 served in a10cent plastic basket. A china plate isn't too much to ask for?

My friends and I attend Murphys every week for their trivia night. It’s always great fun. The food is always delicious and the staff are fantastic. Highly recommend.

Mmmmm. Maybe Burger Night should be called Slider Night. $22 for a slider and chips was a little cheeky.

Loved it! It would be great to have a copy of the bar tab charges. But understand that’s tricky. Such a great venue. Will be back! Thanks Nicole and Megan x

Held my daughter’s 18th Birthday at Murphy’s and was really happy with the service we received . Staff were great, food was great and nice atmosphere.

Have dined here multiple times and just had a function on the roof top beer garden over the weekend. The service never disappoints and food was amazing as always.

Has been ages since I've here and I have to say it's nothing like what I remember. This place is bloody awesome.
Staff are wonderful, all nice and friendly.
Food was great definitely a lot better than I expected it to be.
Atmosphere was lovely, everyone just there to have a good time with thier friends.
Will 100% be back again.

Food was really lovely, and service was good. We found the dining area a bit dark though. Also, TV was a bit loud.
The upstairs Bar has a nice view and a good vibe.

Food was great, good pricing. The young bar staff in the rooftop area were very nice, helpful and friendly, which doesn't seem to happen anymore. We were just a bit squished onto a table with 5 of us. Would definitely recommend going for a feed.

Fantastic service, delicious food - especially the Irish parmigiana - and lovely staff. Have been coming here for years and they never disappoint.

Didn’t stay here, but visited the restaurant for a meal. Nice place, comfortable surroundings and meals came out quickly, but I think this was a little detrimental for my serve of House made Gnocchi.
Wine definitely hit the spot on a cold evening and we had a good meal on the whole

Cute venue with lots of distinct areas to suit your mood. Steaks are great and served fast even though the place can be quite busy. Excellent Staff.

Booked in for dinner at 5:30 before the footy. Ordered food at 5:40, no more service for over an hour so we left. Missed the start of the footy with an empty stomach at least the Tiges still put up a fight.

Beers were at a good price, clean and cold. Cocktails were well priced and interesting. Food ordered at the table took an hour to arrive and was only warm. If you order the saganaki cheese, ask for no sauce, it ruins it.

4 of us ordered parmas and 4 of us required chainsaws to cut through the abomination that was the crumb. All they had to do was cook it for 20 minutes less time and they would've been more edible and actually chopable.
