Relaxed inn featuring a restaurant & a bar, plus a game room & a kids’ play area. This low-key inn is 2 km from both Queensland State Rose Garden and local history at Cobb+Co Museum. Toowoomba railway station is a 3-minute walk away. The pared-down, TV-free rooms offer complimentary Wi-Fi, fans and in-room sinks. Bathrooms are shared. Room service is offered. wow what a great place to have dinner, the staff were very friendly. the meals were excellent very very good sizes had the chicken parma so much on the plate. was not dry. one of the best meals would definitely go back again

Worse hotel I’ve stayed in since I was in Syria. Dirty room, rude staff. Brought up my concerns but they didn’t care.||Checked out without a refund and moved to another local hotel with the most pleasant of staff and clean, comfortable room for similar price.

Where do I start. Absolutely disgusting .Dirty,
Room stunk of smoke ,no soap in toilet ,Common lounge room not even cleaned, Kitchen still had food on the cutting board from the other grubs staying there .And does not open on a Sunday and was not told till an hour before I got there. I lasted 3 hours and found another place. Could not wait to get out of there. There should be minus stars for this hotel .Do not stay there utterly Disgusting

We went th the National Hotel last night for a party, it started of trying to buy a drink a very basic Bacardi and coke in a large glass had to ask 3 times and explain what a large glass was. We ordered food a meat lovers pizza, I can't rember if I ever had a worse one apparently 6 pieces of suassage and a small amount of shredded bacon is all that is on a meat lovers pizza. The other order was chicken skewers with a sauce out of a bottle, the chicken was dry and tasteless. We were on a table of about 20 people and when the food arrived the waiter passed food over the table over people's heads other people received wrong part or full meals. This is the second time we have been there for a meal but there will never be a third. They are charging restaurant prices for well below standard food and service.

This place discriminates those who are blind and have a service dog. Absolutely disgusting at the refusal to admit a person who is blind into the hotel, this contravenes the Disability discrimination act 2012

This hotel is a proper flophouse.
The simple rooms were adequate for sleeping. With a double bed a side table and pouffe you get what you pay for. The rooms were clean although my room (#17) window had 2 panes broken out letting the night air and mosquitoes in.
The rooms and the shared bathroom facilities were clean and looks like they have been recently renovated.
I was not told about the kitchen facilities available nor about the free Wi-Fi. The restaurant food was not tasty at all as the parmigiana tasted like it was cooked from Frozen and very soggy. The atmosphere was noisy and the only thing good in the restaurant was the beer.
If you're on a budget and need a last minute flop accommodation, this will suit your needs but I recomend looking somewhere else if you want more amenities such as coffee and tea and a television in your room..

The service was good. The workers were very friendly and personable. It'd be nice if they had more craft beer though as the lineup was very standard. The interior was nice as usual and a good place for a quiet drink.

The rooms were basic, beds super comfy so well worth it for just $60 a night. Renovated bathrooms - good hot shower. Room included oil heater, desk and sink. Free tea, coffee and TV in common room. Excellent staff.

The mould in the showers and dirt on the windows were pleasant compared to the staff.
Some “human” called Cat tried to kick me out at 2am after fully paying for a room, that room being filled, and me agreeing to pay full price to sleep on the lounge (my grandma’s funeral combined with festival…I had no choice). She/it kicked from a quiet lounge that was agreed by the manager that I could sleep on, and forced to sleep on the floor (no mattress) of an occupied room. She then bashed on the door until awakening everyone because she failed to ask for a copy of my ID when I checked in, and she wanted it right there and then.
You have no idea what I was going through, what I am capable of, and what I almost did to you…you revolting excuse for a human. I will find you

The bed was old and soft. no rubbish bin and the carpet was dirty. I was not advised there would be a band which was loud but being a pub/hotel I half expected that and it did stop at a reasonable hour which was great . No TV in room which was a little disappointing considering it had tv bracket on wall. Room No 9 had about 6 or 7 people in and little kids running up and down hall way slamming doors at all hours which kept us awake. (I understand this is not really the hotels fault but it made it difficult to sleep.) As I walked past in the morning the room door was wide open and there were extra beds on the floor. I wouldn't stay there again.

Such good company, great staff, room was very tidy will definitely be back again! Food was fantastic, the restaurant was very welcoming. My husband ordered the parmigana and it was huge! The children loved the kids room!

Stayed recently whilst I was amid some unexpected accommodation crisis. Payed a week in advance, was never informed upon paying that I wouldn't be allowed visitors without signing them through the bar & having their cards photocopied first. 2 nights into my stay I stopped by my room after lunch with a friend to gift them a bag of clothes. Friend was only few minutes quickly in n out, afterwards I was promptly kicked out to my puzzlement. Staff immediately came to my door and came across rude and arogant. Male assistant snickered and kept glaring at me turning his nose up. Female manager kept ordering me to hurry up whilst I was packing my belongings. When I spoke up to say they were rude and asked the male to stop staring at me, he proceeded to try and fight me. I was then also refused a refund of the $300 I had paid even though had been there only 2 nights (around $80-90). They even tried to charge an extra $80 for "the floor" which simply needed a vacuum. When informed that the owner was kicking out a homeless man and basically stealing his money she said she didn't care. Room stunk when I arrived and was right next to where other patrons smoked. Noise from downstairs can be clearly heard in rooms late as midnight. Definitely wouldn't recommend 👎

Rooms well you get what you pay for. Couldn't say room was clean because it wasn't the case. Found food scraps on mattress under the sheet. Dusty shower filthy blocked cold water i found the hot water took a long time to heat up but i couldn't wait to get out of it. Staff said to people infront in me keep room tidy thats a joke obviously. Wouldnt stay here again even if it was last place in town my cars much better.

Refuses Legitimate Service animals. Avoid this dump at all costs. The staff are extremely rude and will throw out and call Police on people with seeing eye dogs. wouldn't spit on them. Hopefully they will be sued into bankruptcy.

Not that impressed with my room standard at $82! 'Last room left' & girl wouldnt let me view it before I paid for it?? So guess that's why! Share bathrooms & loos very ordinary along with other areas. Bad drainage! Flooded shower floors ugh!
I could not really recommend this place to stay.
When I saw photos online on their website then I expect to walk into a room looking as good as if not better. Nothing short of a backpacker hostel to me! $82 a night I got charged for a very disappointing stay!
I wouldn't stay there again or recommend it to anyone.

Nice revamp, warm n welcoming. Entertainment was great...the dale Robinson band. Waitresses efficient but menu-wise not accommodating much at all . there was no option for just a plate of Veggies, even with a side :/ a shame, all pubs have been to are happy to do this or is already on the menu...a vegetarian option (not that I am, just not a big eater and meals are huge ) entree not too bad. Menu and presentation were fine. When someone smoked out front, came straight inside 😔

Never again.... Treatment was absolute disgraceful.... Could name quite few things.... Will never step foot Inside this business again... And advise others to think twice. You better off pitching a tent down the road....
When I questioned a window that wouldn't close was told I should leave if I don't like it . Then my autistic brother wasn't treated any better could name other things... Not even worth one star...

My family and I stayed I 3 of the rooms overnight and was the Worst experience ever, dirty rooms, broken windows, staff were rude, permanent residents were druggo's and made you feel very unwelcome, constantly slamming doors and loud as, shared toilets and shower facilities that were not out of order were gross, did not use the facilities at all. Did not sleep all night, glad we made it out alive the next morning, not good at all

I went to this establishment last Friday, and I encountered a really nice young man serving drinks. He was polite and did his job well. If the actions and behaviour of that young man is consistent with the rest of the staff, then I would be a very happy customer.

I've seen the video online and it's absolute disgrace what you did to that poor woman with the guide dog. It really is terrible!!. I hope you loose your lawsuit aswell.

It was a lot better when the previous manager from NZ ran it. The food was better, the atmosphere was better, it was moving to having an upmarket feel about it; however now that she has been replaced by the new manager, the place has plummetted downhill at a rapid pace.
The place no longer has class, there is a pool table in the middle of the nice room with a large bookshelf, giving the place a cheap look and nowhere near as pleasant to be there.
The meal we had today was atrocious, a very dry and overfried crumbed steak and overfried and dry chips, with a much smaller salad than what they used to give.
It was an appalling experience - we ended up leaving our meal unfinished, as it was tortuous to try and finish it. It was the worst meal I ever had, and unbelievable that the manager served it to us as it looked how it tasted. I never want to go back there again.
Speaking to her was a waste of time and energy, she said I was the only one that complained and everyone else was happy with everything.
I wish the previous manager was back there again, she was so pleasant, had class and had an uplifting effect on the place - and the food was excellent, now its not even fit for a dog - honestly, what was served us today I would not give to my dog - it was that bad.

It was a bed to sleep on for the night. My room was cold and dirty and very lacking in amenities.
The shower was cold and also dirty.
However the staff were excellent, very friendly and the bar was great. With a great selection of drinks and food and good music.

It's cheap , barely cheerful but it's basic accommodation for a basic price.
The access from rear steps and lack of lighting around the place make it a little dangerous at night . If it was raining I would expect some falls. Next time I stay ill offer to put mew bulbs in where they are needed, including the hallways and shower areas.

Illegally not allowing a customer who is disabled to have their Guide Dog and the rude way your staff handled the situation. It is ILLEGAL to refuse a room to a disabled person with a service dog! disgraceful!

Absolutely disgusting. Couldn’t recommend this place to anyone. There’s no toilet seat. Toilet and bathroom are missing there lights. Bedrooms aren’t any better. This place deserves minus stars.

Absolute disgrace that this hotel discriminates against disabled people in need of an aid. Do not at any costs support this dirty, discriminatory hotel with self centred and absolutely appalling staff that do not care an inch about their guests.
