Working at a Tourist Park, I'm always asked where a good place is to eat in town with a good atmosphere.
As my work is pet friendly, I always recommend this tavern as there aren't many pubs with a beer garden left.
I've never had a bad meal here, and I doubt I ever will.

Wonderful service and atmosphere with live music during the Tamworth Country Music Festival. The salmon salad was delicious. Highly recommend this venue.

We were staying in a motel just up the road and the owner recommended the Nemingha Tavern to us as a good place to get a meal. It turned out he was right! The tavern was small and cosy, with a fire going in the dining area and the staff were very friendly. A good selection of meals was shown on the menu, all reasonably priced. We chose the Chicken Schnitzel and were amazed at the size of the meals when they were delivered to the table - we should have ordered just one plate for the two of us! The chicken was soft, moist and perfectly cooked, as were the stack of fresh vegetables. We passed on the offer of deserts!

We were pointed to this pub by the owners of the caravan park if you were was looking for a drink and something to eat for the evening. Upon taking their advice we ventured down after a long day, and was more than happy with the cleanliness and friendly staff to pour you up a cold beer and I’ll see you a great menu for tea.

We visit the Nemingha Tavern for a meal every time we go to Tamworth. Usually going on a Wednesday evening to check out the 2 pastas for $40 deal. We don't always get the pasta, but we've always gotten a good feed. Often needing a takeaway container at nights end.

We ate here during the Tamworth Country Music Festival - magnificent food, quick service and great atmosphere. Using local produce (Guyra tomatoes and Pork from the local butchers) contributed nicely. Excellent playground for kids, although needs shade.

Was close (500m flat walk) to the motel I stayed at. The beer was cold and the food was plentiful. I had a chicken schnitzel. Good tight selection too, with desserts. Loads of space with kids playground off the beer garden. Not that crowded on a Wednesday.

This place is a hidden gem! The food is absolutely delicious and large portions for the price. The fire out the back is great to have a few drinks around whilst watching the kids run around on the grass. The staff are friendly and can mix amazing drinks. Thanks for a great night.
You will not be disappointed stopping in for a feed and a drink or two.

Stopped in for lunch, me, hubby, daughter and dog. Sat in the beer garden. Staff friendly and helpful. Super impressed with the 14 year old lad serving the food, which was delicious. Even a bowl of water for the dog. Definitely worth a stop.

Ordering was a complete debacle and it was too hard to try and get drinks - we drank water instead. Fortunately the food was great and they brought the kids meals out quickly.

I’ve eaten on multiple occasions,
The meals are fantastic, and up until recently I thought the service was great,
But one of my friends showed me a review about Kat and I had to review myself.
About 2 weeks ago i was there with my son, my son looks about 20 but is 16, he asked if he could go get a coke, I said yea. He has before.
But this time the sneaky cheek ordered a bourbon and Coke.
She didn’t ask for ID and served him twice.
I will never return and I have spoken to my friends about it as well.
I am sorry I had to leave a negative review. But needed to be said.

If you haven’t been to this little pub just outside of Tamworth, you really need too.
Very busy lunch, little wait for lunch. But the BBQ Ribs are the best I have ever had so tender and the glaze is just amazing.
Bar staff are very friendly and the pub itself is very clean..
will definitely be back

Had heard the meals here were good. I have to agree. The chicken and mushroom risotto was delicious and loaded with chicken! My friend's brisket burger looked pretty good to. Was a most enjoyable pub lunch.

Great meals at reasonable prices. Good entertainment at Sunday lunch. If there was anything to be a bit negative it would only be the kids playground equipment is a bit average and the swing broken.
Will definately recommend for a good pub feed though .

Would be awesome if the wait staff was knowledgeable on allergens in menu items and if the kids play area had a shade over top

Fabulous meal, beautiful friendly & fun staff.
It was a cold, wet day & we walked in & the wood fires were burning in both the bar & the dining room making it cosy & inviting.
A most beautiful lunch of creamy garlic prawns just made the experience even better.
Thank you to all the staff, we'll be back 👍

Altering rating. When I managed hotels, we had a patron hook. If the bar took bistro orders, we would take the order before the bistro opened, allowing the patrons to use our establishments, tour the towns, plat our tab and pokies, refresh themselves at the bar, we also had the $5 note on the roof and the ring on a string. This being said, hotels that take orders at the bar, that refuse to take orders 40 minutes to half hour before the bistro opens, lose customers, the patronage will not stay and wait until the bistro opens, because they have ordered and paid for their meals, and have spent money in house during that time. The customers will go elsewhere. But, each hotel is different at retaining returning customers I guess. Food for thought.
