Went for dinner here yesterday evening with a mob of kids - some of mine, some not - but there were quite a few of the toe-rags floating about! In my experience, you never know how restaurant staff will be when kids are doing what kids do... but I have to say, staff were FANTASIC and we never felt as if the kids were an issue. Throw in really good food and a nice venue and I would highly recommend a visit.

We decided to check out the $22 pot and parma night and were pleased to see they had several options. I stuck with a traditional and found it quite enjoyable. Unfortunately one of our dining party received a parma sans sauce and ate it anyway given we were in a hurry. Can’t fault the price point from a value perspective

We ate as a large group on a Sunday evening. Several of us had the chicken parmigiana and didn’t it enjoy it at all. We ordered a side of gravy with it which had the consistency of water and was tasteless. Others ordered the burger which was dry and looked overcooked. One guest had the paellla and has been very sick since eating it, although the venue has said that it’s not possible to link his illness back to what he ate at The New Bay.

Update. Been many times since last post. Absolutely love it. Great prices, great service.
My local. The best pie I ever had in my life. Absolutely HUMUNGOUS goodness. Such beautiful flavour, what a simply gorgeous experience.

This place has great food, and great service. They are a consistent 4.5/5 pub fare food.
They are always accommodating of my swaps - my potatoes and veg instead of chips and salad were at no additional charge. We keep coming back.

The New Bay have a $30 steak and red wine special. We asked if we could swap the red wine for white wine, which we thought was reasonable, however the waitress said no but we could swap for soft drink. We questioned this so the waitress asked the manager. The manager came to our table with no introduction and said there was no way they could swap it. He argued that white wine was different to red wine. He was extremely rude in the way he spoke to us. We went down the road to the Marine who happily swapped red wine for white wine and even beer. We will never return to somewhere that does not put customers first and are rude to their customers.

Since moving to the area, this might become my new, no-frills, local! I came here for a quick meal and was immensely impressed with the seafood linguini! The serving size was substantial, lots of big prawns and the pasta cooked to perfection. Service was great too. I’ll be back!

Service was fine
Venue was good, not too loud, good environment.
The nachos and Garlic bread were good.
The rest of the food was ok

New Bay Hotel, Brighton
A pretty decent pub, good front bar. $8 pints always but occasionally wonky selection. Can watch the footy across multiple screens. Pool only costs $2 ($3 on Sundays). Near train stations. Weird pokies, pretty functional. Wings are excellent, other food pretty good. Overall, 9/10

Most of the meals are decent pub fare. The beef schnitzel on my last visit was a little disappointing but all the other meals I've had here have been good. My young daughter loves it as she gets crayons to draw with, but last time she was distracted watching UFC on the tv above her 😬

Just had a beautiful lunch with our daughter and her boyfriend at The New Bay Hotel ,New Street Brighton. We eat there regularly and the staff and food are always outstanding. Today was no exception as Jay (our host) spoilt us. An excellent venue to eat and feel spoilt. Thanks Jay. Patricia/ Peter Draper. Brighton.

Iv best to this hotel a few times, the first time I had super fresh oysters, and some calamari/squid it was super yummy. This time my partner and I where a little hungry so we shared the paella 🥘 it was tasty fresh seafood really yummy! It’s not the cheapest when coming to drinks and ect, but the staff are nice so it makes up for it.

It was all good until the restaurant tried a fiddle on the bill with the Parm night pots and my grandchildren's soft drinks.We probably won't be back.

Honestly, this is the best pub food in Baysìde. There Alot of gluten-free options . The service is fantastic 👏 really nice variety of foods available. Very Fresh . Popular .

Friendly personable staff. Nice location and a good place for meals inside or out. If you want to have a pokie play they have a good room of those and not to shabby on the luck. Lol. Smokers area is a little bit small but that's a non issue. Very cool staff

Service ok but variable depending on which girl you get.
Beer and champagne were both server cold which was great.
Pub tab and pokies, just so you know it's not a fancy pub.

First time at The New Bay Hotel, Brighton for our Bayside Professional Singles Group 45 to 60. Food was excellent. Loved the seafood paella. Everyone had a great time. Manager Jay did a great job looking after us. Inside is great and not noisy. Highly recommend. Will definitely go there again.

Fabulous staff, great service, good portions and quality food!!!
We had a party of 14, on New Year’s Day, and in spite of this the staff were fabulous, attentive and the chef prepared wonderful meals in a timely manner. Even though the menu is large, the quality of the diverse meals was great in all cases. I will be back, and recommend Newbay to anyone! The floor staff, bistro manager and chef need a pat on the back.

Always a great place to eat. We have been served by Liv for the past few times and she has been fantastic. She remembers our drinks and our names and gives us exceptional service. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place as a great value for money dining experience.

Air conditioning wasn't on in dining room until we requested it in, it was v warm and stuffy on a hot day.
Food was good value, was disappointed to get sugar snap peas instead of the shelled garden variety with my bangers n mash despite request for it .
Drink prices were surprisingly good value for that area!

After a bit of a wait and mix up with our order, a gorgeous waitress called Jemima made our visit really special. Food was great, service was perfect and staff were very attentive. Our mishaps were rectified very quickly and with lots of apologies. We’ll definitely return.
