We were late getting there for dinner but was served with good value steak, etc, with friendly service from the staffs including the manager.

Went for dinner with some colleagues from work. We’re visitors in town. The folks were super friendly and helpful! The food was fantastic and the beer good and cold. Definitely a go back place!

Visited Corowa last week and tried the pub for dinner on Tuesday fantastic meal, great prices and great drinks. Liked it so much we went back on Thursday and received another fantastic meal. Do yourself a favour, if you are in town eat here.

Very simple well prepared food, very tasty. Service also very friendly. If your not looking for gourmet food but tasty home style food this is the place to go. The lamb shank highly recommend

Typical country pub but amazing food.
Wandered in for the first time and had the roast of the day.
Juicy, tasty and great portion for $15 (Monday)
Hard to find roast pork slices that isn't dry but this was perfect.
2nd time I went back I had the steak ($25 - Wednesday)
Massive seak for the price and perfectly cooked.
Definitely worth visiting.

Not great service..... meals were different to the ingredients on the menu... no coke on tap said it ran out... not very friendly brang up about different ingredients in the meal nothing was done and staff just walked off very disappointing

Just what we needed after a big weekend- pub meal for 15 of us. Nicole was so accommodating to our large group at the last minute. The food was perfect and delicious. Highly recommend for anyone after simple and easy food

I'm from Sydney and cam down here for a wedding. I came in to this place and had a nice yarn with the bartender and just got instant great vibes.
It's an incredible place that does an amazing roast of the day. Look everyone has a different taste for things, for me, I'm a well done kinda guy, a glass of wine and just a kick back afterwards.
I left feeling amazing. Portion size is great and again, the staff are really kind and happy.

Great local country pub, good service and atmosphere. Meals came out quickly and were cooked to perfection

Great little pub, good meals, however not recommend for large groups. As large groups can overload the kitchen. Our group of about 30 definitely overloaded the kitchen. Meals took between 10 minutes for the fast ones, and 2 hours for the last ones to come out.
I would definitely recommend for smaller groups though.

Damp day, damp atmosphere. ..We were last here a few months ago, my god they've lost the plot and can't cope with a crowd, that's not more than 12 people. No greeting when we arrived, found our own seats.
Now we know why it's pay before the meal as we waited just on an hour for our meal to arrive, as if it was the other way around we would have left after 1/2hr. In the meantime, there was one person running meals up to the crowd in the bar (not more than a dozen people) and not even an 'oh, I'm sorry your meal is delayed. When they finally brought us our meals there was not even an appology or a smile or enjoys your meals. The Kurt atmosphere and just sitting for all that time didn't make it pleasurable eating our meal.
As we left the scary/rude waitress come cook was taken by surprise when I told her we wouldn't be back as we waited too long without an apology. She was shocked and she said I'm sorry (which she angrily said) did you see how many people there were in the bar.. What a joke, a good pub knows how to serve a meal within 15 minutes, no matter how many customers are there. Id hate to see the if they had more than 12 in the dining area and 12 in the bar. Shame on you Newmarket hotel you need to pick up your act, employ some happy, courteous staff and not just pander to the needs of the regular, Friday workman who spend a extra few dollars on their beer. I am a local...one star for the food as we were over being hungry or appreciating a meal served after waiting so long...

Great service from a new Barmaid (still learning)
Cosy feel, old style and clean.
Naked Steak sandwich $20 = great
House Shiraz $7 = nice

Best place for a traditional pub meal. The last time l had been here was 4 years ago and although it's a different chef, the meals did not disappoint. I had the rib eye 400g and my wife had the lamb chops. Both great meals. Oh yes and guiness on tap too!

6 of us had a lovely meal at the Newmarket Hotel on Saturday night. We all enjoyed our meal. I had lamb cutlets and vegies and all was perfectly good. Really good. Must go back.
