We recently held my brother’s memorial on the outside rear deck - good food, good atmosphere and big thanks to Dean for help with tech for our slideshow and music memories. All went beautifully. Thankyou.

Went there to play a pool comp. Great food and facilities. Best supermarket ever next door. Have a drink then shopping. Brilliant

We have been a customer at Newmarket for near on 8 years for birthday celebrations and family get together and always enjoyed the venue, great meals at a great price. Tonight was a disappointment for the first time having to wait for over an hour to get our meals. There was no mention of extensive wait time or we would have reconsidered placing an order and not missed an event unfortunately 😕

We had our Sons 18th Birthday here last Saturday night.
From the first call in booking the room to leaving your venue we want to say how accommodating and helpful your staff were nothing was any trouble.
The meals were delicious and considering how many people were in the venue including the 50 guests we had they came out in good time.
I would just like to make a special mention to Coralie in your kitchen who went above and beyond to help us out with a disastrous cake we had bought to our party from (another store I won’t mention). Coralie and staff could see how upset I was when dropping the cake off. She offered to re do our sons cake in a very short period of time and it was just amazing. No thanks will be enough for what she did. All our guests commented on how good it was. Coralie went above and beyond to make his night perfect. Thanks again.

We had a truly delicious, and very large, lunch for $15 each. Anywhere else the same meals would have been in excess of $30 each. If you're contemplating a meal there, go for it. Tasty food and great service.

Was an average place for average food. The only yummy dish was the pasta. The pub side is friendlier than the restaurant which got crowded.

They cook a great steak. Tender and as you like it. I had the Beef and reef which was prawns, calamari and mussels with a great sauce and all the trimmings.
Large country sized serves. Cold beer and a reasonable wine stock. Well worth the money.

The food and the service was outstanding, have already said we would go back again. Meals were out really quickly.
The only thing was booked to be on the deck, but was positioned in near the bar.

Thank you to staff Beth at the bar counter for the service. She was very friendly, polite and respectful while handling my order.She explained to me to about meal that I was ordering and the food was very delicious.well done Chef for the amazing food.Me and my husband really loved the food there and we would definitely go there again.

Myself & my colleague Wendy went here tonight.
We had the lamb Roast, it was delicious, generous size, and a nice red. I think the girls name was Bronte she was so friendly & very accommodating.
She even came to tell us our dinner was on the table when we were in the pokies,
As we travel around Australia for our work, we dine at lots of different establishments.
I adore a country pub & country hospitality.
I felt I had to write a review on this because they deserve it.
Well done Newmarket Hotel,
We will be back tomorrow night. 👏👌

My daughter had a wonderful night at her 21st. We were so grateful for the wonderful service we had from all the staff we encountered. Fantastic value for money.
Terry was very understanding when we organised our food choices only 3 days before the event ( not 1 week - sorry!).
Coralie was a huge help advising of our catering needs and stopped us ordering too much. At the end of her shift came to ask if there was anything else she could do. The food was delicious.
Callum was totally accommodating, responsive to all my requests and so reassuring to an anxious hostess.
I’m sorry I didn’t get all the names of the staff but thank you so much, you were run off your feet and still served us with a smile.
Only a couple of tiny things that could be better.
There was a bit of traffic through the Stockyard room to the deck earlier and patrons from the deck coming in to order drinks, I’m not sure how the poor staff knew who was meant to be charged or put on our tab. Next time I’d take up the offer of wrist bands.
Even tinier - I should have asked to cut up only half the cake. We took home a lot of cut up cake. My mistake.
Thank you to everyone who contributed, you are a wonderful team. We have had a 50th and two 21st with you. We’ll be back in a few years for the last one.

Me and my wife had lunch on the king birthday Monday holiday very friendly and efficient staff the wife orded the calamari.which was cooked to perfection very large serve to ,I ordered the bangers and mash with onion gravy the sausages were cooked perfectly mash was creamy and the onion gravy was absolutely delicious really Nice pub food at very reasonable price beer is cold as well would highly recommend as a real pub destination

Lovely food sooo Huge I had to put leftovers in a doggy bag i had a Ozzy parmigiana it was as big as plate with bacon and egg yum thanks guys

I won’t be back here ever I normally come during a work day for lunch but the slop I was served today was disgusting the chicken was dry and nasty the cold mashed potato was lumpy to say the least. In fact I can’t believe the guy who put in front of me wasn’t more embarrassed! Such a shame this pub use to be a favourite for lunch not anymore!!

If I could put negative I would, waiting for over 10mins for someone to come seat my family and I. Got to the table to be given dirty cutlery. Then to wait 30mins for our dinner to be given to us just warm. But on the positive the meals were good and good size.

Had my sons birthday dinner here with the fam, what a great pub! Really loved the feel to this place, we had a wonderful time and the service was fantastic, I must say the food was exceptional, I ordered the black steak with Tabasco butter abd the steak was sooo tender and cooked perfectly, my 2 sons each ordered chicken parmis and they were enormous although they did forget my older sons salad with it, but he doesn't eat salad anyway so no loss. My mother ordered Barramundi fillet and I must say it was the biggest piece of fish I've ever seen served in a pub anywhere, my missus had the grilled chicken burger and was very satisfied too. Caesar salad was also exceptional.
When you order any parmis here you get a free middy beer or soft drink! So was very happy to get a free drink with dinner.
Food was perhaps a little slow to arrive but certainly not terrible. The prices here however are amazing, so damn cheap compared to other places. Value for money it definitely their biggest draw card I think.
5 stars for these guys.

Had lunch today with family. I ordered the pumpkin risotto & it was salty & sloppy. I could not eat it. Other people’s meals were cold & half frozen
The meals use to be great, but will not be returning

Great food, wonderful staff, and a lovely old-time atmosphere.
Try the Hawaiian chicken parmigiana. Absolutely delicious.😋😋😋

Food missing on order (read back but not actually invoiced/ordered), raised with a staff member who disappeared to find out more but then kinda went quiet for a while.
Busy night and 2 young and seemingly newish staff so can understand
Followed up about 20 minutes later with senior staff member/manager (not sure?) Who promptly looked into and addressed the issue.
Food was cooked well, drinks were nice and cool and refreshing on a hot day!

Food arrived really quickly. It was hot and a really good serving size.
Price was also spot on for the size of the dishes.
Footy on the big screen and a nice crowd. Indoor or outdoor dining with were pleasant.

Booked our daughters 21st here. Everyone had a great time and the birthday girl was so happy she smiled all night and was still smiling the next morning.

Awesome service and great feed!!! The meal sizes are huge and this place is very reasonably priced!
It is so good that a traditional country pub still exists!
