Low-key rooms & suites in a casual motel featuring a sports bar, a pool & free breakfast. This laid-back motel in a leafy residential area is 3.5 km from Old Dubbo Gaol and 7 km from Taronga Western Plains Zoo. Featuring exposed brickwork and wood-panelled ceilings, the casual rooms and suites offer cable TV, tea and coffeemaking facilities, minifridges and verandahs, plus Wi-Fi access (fee). We stay here often. Not many motels in Dubbo compare for friendly unique service and have added extras free drink and breakfast

Very spacious, clean and beautifully presented room.
Was pleased to see that the room was disability friendly.
Beds were very comfortable
Breakfast included in the stay was a bounus.
Will definitely stay there again!

Very large room with excellent facilities. Shower was great. We did have a round about outside the room but could hardly hear the traffic. Didn't have a smart phone so couldn't get room service but just went over to the restaurant and they brought it over when it was ready, great variety for breakfast. Would stay here again if travelling thru Dubbo.

Very disappointed with the lady at reception .. very bad behaviour and made comments on nationality . Very racist and felt so much discrimination.. never going back .. staff at bistro for breakfast also not friendly at all .. asked for gluten free options and all they had was a bun which they over toasted and that too with so much bad looks .. didn’t want to ask again .. very limited options in breakfast
Swimming pool not maintained at all
No play area or even small green area for kids to play
Overall very bad experience

This is one of the best rural / regional hotels we have stayed in. It’s not your typical bush motel.||Our 3rd stay here. Great location, next to Orana Mall and away from the Dubbo CBD & main highways, with no through traffic or trucks. Large, well presented room, bistro next door at Pub. Accomodation cost includes breakfast and we were given a complimentary drink voucher each ( for use at Hotel next door ) at check in. Kids adventure playground nearby, next to Dubbo Botanical Gardens, an easy 5 minute walk. Plenty of off street parking and a pool.||On line booking process is simple & quick with no up front payment required,but credit card details needed to secure the booking. Pay on check in. Front desk staff are very friendly and helpful.||Highly recommend …. We have booked a family get together here in January to visit The Western Plains Zoo.

The room was really clean and beautifully decorated. It was lovely and cool to walk into after being outside in that hot weather. It was just right for our family of four with a queen bed and two singles. The beds & pillows were super comfortable. The kids loved it. The food over at the Bistro was delicious and well priced. Great friendly staff too. We also enjoyed the complimentary continental breakfast in the mornings. We’d definitely stay here again and would recommend it highly.

The licensee is rude and blood all over the beds and headboard, cleaners went in my room while I was at my hospital appt and changed my bin hung up a dirty flannel and moved my underwear that was drying to hang a wet floor mat no newbies just dried them out and felt like my stuff had been gone through, I had not asked for them to do that, so I don't know why they didn't clean the blood up anyway I asked the manager at the office to make sure I could maybe have that room for an extra night and was already paid up for the day I asked so I said would you mind if I come and pay for tomorrow night in the morning and was bluntly told he would prefer it now, i was a bot shocked as I have stayed here for years cause I've loved that place for food entertainment convenience to the hospital and shops but all in all it was terrible I left and went to another motel where the manager was lovely.. don't get me wrong all the pub staff are lovely. I feel sorry for them with a rude boss like that.

Stayed with partner and 2 children. The price was great, the facilities were new and clean and thoughtfully and attractively designed. The staff were efficient, warm, friendly and went out of there way to offer help.
The food in the adjacent pub was generous and tasted great and the staff were efficient, warm and helpful. My son left his raincoat there and the waitress ran across to the hotel to bring it to us.
Nothing was too much trouble for the staff at either place and we would absolutely stay there and eat there again.

Recently renovated rooms. Good location on northern side of town. It is walkable to a shopping centre and botanic gardens. Hot breakfast was included at Great pub, right next door.|Reception staff were efficient and pleasant. Would stay there again.

My daughter & I travelled from Sydney to experience the Western Plains Zoo. We like to sleep in separate beds & not all places do this. The room was great, two comfy beds, spacious shower, air con, kitchenette. Everything we needed.
We ate at the associated Macquarie Inn (discount for motel guests). Food was amazing. A free drink each and breakfast the next morning were included. Fantastic!

I really wanted to like this motel because you can see they've put so much effort into doing it up. The rooms have been tidied up with modern designs and decent quality bathroom fittings. If it was at a lower price point it would be a 4 or 5, but it just didn't complete with other motels in town in this price range (I travel to Dubbo regularly for work and have stayed in many). The bed needs to be replaced - very soft and no support. The water pressure under the (very nice looking) rain shower was so low it was impossible to wash my hair. The lighting in the bathroom casts deep shadows on your face so applying makeup was really difficult. The hanging space was fine if you only had shirts and pants but much too short for a dress or long skirt. Under the (very nice) vanity hadn't been mopped properly, there were spiderwebs around light fittings, and mosquitos in the bathroom. A light switch had a big section chipped off its face plate. The air con system had a note on it saying it couldn't go below 22 because it would struggle too much (why didn't they purchase adequate air conditioners in a town that's regularly over 40 in summer? Other motels in town don't have that issue). There's no way to get fresh air as the exterior door that acts as a window had the 'handle' of its bolt removed so it can't be opened. Normally, I would have mentioned all this at checkout rather than on Trip Advisor but there was noone at reception to tell. It looks good, it's fine for a standard motel, but they need to get the important basics - good night's sleep and quality shower - sorted before it'll compete with other motels in that price range in Dubbo.

Huge room and bathroom. Balcony to outdoors. Clean and tidy, comfy beds. Easy access to the hotel for food and drinks. Breakfast included and very nice. Choice of continental and hot buffet. No undercover parking. But free. Room has some traffic noise from Wheelers Road. Airconditioned and small kitchenette. Highly recommend for family with pool. Couples or business.

Great hotel. Very comfortable were the beds and pillows. Spacious and well appointed room. The rooms are refurbished so nicely. We were in a family style room near the pool. | Breakfast was way more than we expected. Toast, cereal, bacon eggs, mushrooms etc. | Very nice way to start the day. The pub is great for dinner after a long day out being a tourist. Highly recommend to stay here. Its quiet too and away from all the other motels in town just on the edge. Super easy to drive to all attractions.||My only criticism is the balconies need a clean. a quick sweep out would freshen up the outside area so your not breaking your foot on nuts from the tree or chicken bones we had on our balcony.

food is average for the price. kitchen staff are untrained or dont care about dietary requirements. My wife is coeliac and they put chips cooked in the fryer with schnitzels on her plate, when asked to fix it they said they would just take the chip of the plate.

Fantastic room size, very clean and modern and great location with room service, full buffet breakfast included and friendly staff.
Only comment would be bed could be firmer.
Would definitely stay again.

Excellent venue with great staff. Standard tidy rooms with furnishings. Large venue functions room and main bar area and not a bad feed at the restaurant. Location is a bit of distance from the main street shops but Orana mall is 10 minutes or less walking distance.

Excellent facilities. The room was spacious, clean and modern. Great value for money. Ordered straight from the QR code in my room for dinner and service was prompt. Typical pub feed. Only criticism was I was in room 2 which was right near the noisy road and roundabout. Also workman in the room across from me in the morning was noisy and swearing 😅

Clean, good free breakfast was included, lovely location, room was very spacious for 2 adults+ 1 child. Very convenient to have the bistro/bar next door as well.

Clean beds and bathroom, included single serve of breakfast served buffet style, location can be quite loud depending on pub next doors patrons. Easy walk to Woolworths for supplies made it a handy location for visiting the zoo. Free drink on check in was a nice touch after a long drive.

Breakfast was ordinary,not much left for 8.30 sitters.had to cook more bacon.apparently people that were attending some sort of function came and helped themselves.must do better in future.overal was a good stay

Booking & check in was simple and easy. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Room felt like it was brand new! Warm and cosy despite the very cold weather. And the beds were super comfortable!
The only ‘needs improvement’ was the internet connection/bandwidth for the TV - wasn’t able to get anything other than free to air. Netflix wouldn’t play when logged in.

Booked a family room at night cap for 2 nights. Neat and tidy rooms with aesthetic look, well maintained toilets, close to all amenities. The walls were a bit dusty though. Complementary breakfast at Macquarie inn gives a good start for the day. Food at Macquarie inn is great at reasonable price. Definitely recommended ++

Awesome place to stay, time for a bevey before check-in. Go back not to late from our wedding. Beds could have been a little more comfortable but a great breakfast soon made up for that. Spacious rooms clean & friendly. Would visit again happily.

Amazing hotel at a value rate. Rooms are clean, renovated, and look fantastic. Booked the room last minute over the phone, and was offered a great deal. When we arrived we were treated with a free drink at the pub across from the carpark, and complimentary breakfast. What a deal. Highly recommended.
The pubs also has a great feed too.

Although a short dry into the burbs of Dubbo, this is an excellent motel. The rooms are renovated and contemporary, with plenty of room and close facilities (e.g. petrol). The on-site public bar and restaurant are very spacious and the complimentary continental breakfast was as expected. I would recommend families or travellers staying here at any time. Good staff support and response throughout our stay.

A comfortable overnight stay in town at the end of our three day visit to Dubbo to visit the Western Plains Zoo.||Our refurbished twin room was well appointed and had almost everything we needed for this brief visit (tissues would be a good addition) and although on a busy road, there was no noise into the room and we had a good night’s sleep.||I especially liked the great air conditioning (it was a 35+ degree day), modernised bathroom, the room decor with exposed brick walls, the two complimentary drink vouchers for the adjacent Macquarie Inn, and the 2 x complimentary bottles of water in the fridge.||I subscribed to Nightcap and received a 10% discount on this first stay which brought the rate down to $162. Good value considering the rate also included breakfast (basic, but appreciated, in the Macquarie Inn).

A bit out of the city of Dubbo but still on a main road so you do hear trucks go past. Inside room was big, updated bathroom and clean. Outside balcony area looked like it hadn’t been clean for years and very difficult to open the door. Breakfast was okay with limited options but still a bonus to be included. Nice smart TV so we could log into Netflix to watch some shows after a long day driving. Good for an overnight stay.
