Whilst the accommodation situated behind the pub looks fairly ordinary and potentially run down, we were very pleasantly surprised to find that our family studio for 2 adults and 2 kids, was completely renovated inside, spotlessly clean and very comfortable.|The separate bedroom with two singles, made if feel very spacious and having a kitchenette with microwave was very handy.|Dinner is available onsite at the Riverside Hotel, however we found the food to be fairly ordinary and elected to eat elsewhere on our second night.|Being a motel type establishment, it was a little noisy in the mornings but nothing too loud. I think being on the second floor helped this.|In terms of accommodation, this is definitely a great value for money option minutes drive from central Launceston.|

We were pleasantly surprised when we entered the room how clean & tidy it was. The beds were extremely comfortable and staff at the hotel were very pleasant. We enjoyed a roast dinner at an affordable price. We would definitely come back again.

We called in here for lunch. The service was great. There were a few ppl dining here. The meals were a good size and we were plsd with what we got. Not a bad feed at all and not over priced. The staff were great and very welcoming. I’ll be back |Thank you

Very reasonable price . Got the room for $150. On top of that they offered one free drink for each person from the bar and 10% discount on the food .

Very lovely place to stay nice rooms comfy beds shower was divine my only negative is the noise of the traffic in the morning...

Unfortunately I didn't have a good experience.
Booked the room in advance for one night only and unfortunately I couldn't stay. The room had this very strong smell of spray. The ones we use for killing smell of cigarettes. I've spoke with the manager and she couldn't do anything about it because they were fully booked.
Needed to book another hotel and I am still waiting for the Nightcap hotel manager to give me an answer about a possible refund.
Any way.

The rooms are incredibly clean and tidy with everything you need for a short stay.
Shower pressure was fantastic with la large shower rose. All of us agreed that the beds were the comfiest we have ever slept in.

Super weak shower pressure makes it extremely difficult to take a shower. For the price i was expecting a proper functional room. No separation wall nor doors between the first and second bedroom, meaning no privacy. But there’s a free wifi.

Stayed for 3 nights on the 2nd floor near the street
Pros:
Room was clean and spacious with 2 bedrooms.
Ample parking available.
Strong water pressure.
Microwave and toaster included in the room.
Comfortable beds.
Cons:
Noisy from traffic on the street.
Could hear TV noise from the next room.
Overall:
This is a good hotel overall. The room was clean, spacious, and well-equipped with amenities. The beds were comfortable.
Downsides:
The noise from traffic on the street was significant.
There was some noise from the TV in the next room.
Recommended for:
Budget-conscious travelers.
Travelers who need a spacious room.
Travelers who no need to cook their own meals.
Not recommended for:
Travelers who value quiet and peacefulness.

Simply the best hotel at the price, don't be put off by its 3 star rating as the service and cleanliness is 5 star all the way. Checking in was a breeze, breakfast was delicious and well priced and the staff were simply amazing. Located only about ten minutes drive from Launceston this is definitely a better option than staying somewhere a lot more expensive closer to town.

Rooms were good however cleaning was not. We stayed 9nights not a single site they vacuum the rooms. But they cleaned beds and refill. Bathroom hot water also not that good as flow is really low.
Parking was good also they gave coupons for all the adults.
Don’t recommend for longer stay but recommend for shorter stays.

Room lovely.
Had 2 schooners of Carlton Dry😖
Both warm and flat. Quite Clear that no one knows how to clean the lines. Told barman and he just looked at me. No offer to check the taps or-offer a refund. Afternoon staff had no interest in serving. Every time I went to the bar I incurred a long wait and was the only person there.
Chicken Schnitzel burnt. Lucky to have a steak knife to cut it.
Trying to sleep before 10PM forget it. Hotel on an intersection.

Room is clean and comfortable.
Parking is a bit challenging if your room is at the back block due to the road is not flat.
If your room is located at upstair, you may need to carry it up where lift is not available.

One staff member to cover meal orders, bar, keno, pokies and check-ins? Seriously??? She was doing a pretty good job of covering it all but she shouldn't be put in this position. Meals very slow to arrive and definitely not worth the wait.

Nice snd clean comfy bed. Shower nice and hot with ok pressure. Bed firm but comfortable. Other guests were a bit noisy and inconsiderate immediately outside our room early in the morning but no issues with accommodation. Food abs drinks available onsite but we arrived late and did not try food.

It's quite nice, but the strange thing is they ask my cvv number. Usually whenever I stay, it's never happened. And the other thing is it's not in Launceston, like 5min from Launceston

I loved my stay at Night cap. The room was impeccably clean, the bed comfortable and the staff did an amazing job on a very busy night. Whilst mine was only a short stay the basic amenities were good and the room was quiet and warm. Loved it.

Ideal for the price. My room was nice and clean and modern. Staff are friendly and helpful. Brekky is good value. Meals at the pub are nice. Comfy bed. Some road noise but if that bothers you don't book a motel beside the highway.

I choose this motel mainly based on price point. It is a series of double storey motel block’s adjacent to a bistro style hotel.about 6/kms north of the Launceston CBD.My room was on the ground floor in the building closest to the hotel.The room was very clean and well equipped. I stayed 3 nights. The nearby road ( West Tamar Highway ) is busy, so there is a fair bit of early morning noise , but the rest of the night was quiet.overall, i thought Riverside was good value and had comfortable well equipped rooms.

Friendly staff and beautifully clean room. We stayed in the 3 bedroom apartment and were impressed with the room for the price. The bistro has a family friendly vibe with great food. Good location for easy travel to different destinations in Launceston also. Looking forward to staying again in the near future 😊

Don't stay on a Saturday night if you want to sleep. The lights out front of the place are the start of Launceston's "just out of town" local street racing strip. Rooms are not sound proofed at front and the roar is most uncomfortable. Walls are thin betwen rooms..I am listening to 2 sets of snooring both sides. Room 18 is the pick of them. Beds comfy and beautifully clean but pack your BEST ear plugs. We were also charged well above going rate on line. Pays to book ahead for best deal. Remember to use your room key to get 10% off meals. Both dinners were great.
Location is also an $18 uber one way from the CBD.

Clean and comfortable rooms, was great for travelling with 2 kids.
Check-in at the bistro and bar was efficient and very friendly and came with a free drink. Hot or continental room service breakfasts can be pre-ordered. Plenty of off-street parking. The beds were really comfortable. Not the quietest place to stay at but quiet enough for us and reasonably priced.
A small supermarket right across the road called Joe's has snacks, essentials, pastries and coffee. Would have grabbed breakfast things there if I'd realised.
I'd stay here again.

Cheap and cheerful , bed very comfortable, the only problem was the noise from the pipes when anyone showered. Meal in hotel was first class

Came here for dinner with my father for his birthday. Great meal and great staff. Thanks we will be back for more meals.

Budget hotel. More motel then hotel. Price friendly and reasonably clean. No breakfast dining but room service available. Showers need a good drain clean and shower pressure was not great. Noisy in the morning with work utes heading out for the day. Don’t expect a sleep in if you are on the grown floor. On site resturant and bar for those wanting to eat close by. Stayed three nights however if you are looking for price then this one ticks boxes. We were staying in Hotels before this stay so a bit disappointed with our choice of accomodation. Would shop around if you can afford a better price point.

Booking easy. Welcome text received prior to arrival. Reassuring. Pleasant easy check in. Seniors discount on food in tavern. Good food, friendly staff. Daily room refresh and supply top up of milk coffee and toiletries. Big comfortable bed. Reverse cycle aircon. Laundry on site. Was able to part near room but fills up later in afternoon. On highway but no too noisy. Close to supermarket. Would recommend and I can be picky

Best place to stay in Launceston. Nice and comfortable bed , clean room. You got microwave as well which is plus .nice and quiet area.
