What a great opportunity for the northern beaches community to have such a beautiful relaxed modern pub. It was clean, the staff were excellent, it was extremely busy and all our meals came out quick, ordering was quick, I'm excited to see the extended menu once they have established a little more. Definitely recommend.

Very disappointing and frustrating experience. Can’t comment on the food as we NEVER RECEIVED IT!
Ordered food at 6:30 and did our best to patiently wait for our food. We understood that it was busy but once it got to 8:15….we became suspicious. I went up to the counter and enquired about our order only to realise that they never put the order in to the kitchen!
They made NO attempt to explain the situation or to make amends. They service staff instead tired to print the ticket out and give it to the kitchen staff. When I noticed this I ask, “hasn’t the order even been put in?” And she said “no, would you like a refund”.
90mins of my life that I will never get back! I understand that mistakes can happen BUT to not even explain/reveal their mistake or apologise was just disrespectful.
We were not the only table to have this experience and we informed some of the guests STILL waiting for their food, that they should probably go check on it.

This was our 1st time but I believe it shall be our last time!
The lunch menu stated that a Vegetarian menu was available but when I asked the female, she had no idea what I was talking about.
After being offered a Caesar salad (she didn't know that the dressing contained anchovies), I ordered the Nachos (only vegetarian dish on the board), not that nice.
My partner and my friend ordered Fish&Chips and both stated that the fish tasted that it came from a frozen packet!
The pie apparently was quite alright.

This is my most favorite pub.
I love the atmosphere, I love the community of people that frequent the place. It’s a really nice family/local vibe.
There are weekly events that keep things entertaining. I do trivia every Tuesday and the prizes are great.
The food is excellent for the money and the kids love the feed as well.
I may be biased because I live within walking distance of this place but its such a good pub.
Plus it’s close to Woolworths as well if you need to pick up bread on the way back from a cheeky arvo beer.

The service was great lost $200 pokies though. Otherwise great experience! Monopoly machine doesn't pay out. Missus did okay on Huff and Puff. But gave it all back. Kids broke even. So all in all not a bad experience. 3 and a half stars.

The meal sizes were good and what you'd expect to pay for what they were. Given it was right on meal time they had everyone in our party fed quickly and together. Definitely come back again

Only opened this year and it’s my new favourite place to eat, huge servings of food coupled with an amazing Nutella Calzone

Not the best night for any meals on our table my Haloumi salad the pumpkin was tangy, tomatoes and cucumbers were old it all tasted funny, I ordered extra prawns for $7 and only got three, Scotch fillet was ordered MR came out WD, chicken snitz was dry not enough gravy. Team must have had a bad night. All in all the pizza was 5/5.

Looking forward to lunch today, had pork belly and chicken parmy, took my pork back as it was overcooked, stringy and dry, could not chew it, chicken wasn't much better....was told thanks for the feedback, would I like a cup of coffee what we wanted /expected was a nice edible lunch !! This is the second occasion we have had a bad meal, you have now lost as customers.

Look I can't fault this place (okay maybe one thing - the beers) but this is the venue Townsville has needed! Such awesome food, vibes, great place no matter the time or the occasion!

I'm sorry to report that my second visit to North Shore Tavern was disappointing.
On my first visit, my dish of garlic prawns and a glass of Chardonnay was wonderful. The prawns were SO delicious. This time there was a marked difference, and not in a good way. I decided I didn't want to try again. Possibly a new chef.

I haven’t just rated this 5/5 by default. I sincerely mean it when I say this is the best pub in Townsville, if not one of the best pubs I’ve been to. The food NEVER misses, I always get the $30 300g rump, chips and salad and it’s always cooked to perfection, tastes amazing and the service is always quick and convenient. A nice atmosphere and 5/5 recommend it to everyone I know. Please never stop!

If you don't count the first hour and a half of waiting, the food only took 5 minutes to come.
But seriously, an hour and 35 minutes for food is unaccebtable
My children where crying, asking me why it was taking so long, we ended up staying way past their bed times. I blame management, more cooks should be hired, I'm sure we weren't the only people forced to wait. Booked for outside, we where put inside. They forgot one of our meals. Once we received the food, lo and behold as other reviews had stated the crumbed steak was completely raw in the middle: it was more like a doughed steak to be completely honest. As well as this, it was fairly empty, further confusing me as to why it took such a large amount of time for the food to be delivered. I may as have well driven to Woolworths and cooked my family each individual meal on my own for half the price in the time it took them. Never coming again

Had the outback chicken snitty it was delish chips were good and the salad was nice also, then finished off with a soft serve ice cream

Had a lovely meal at North Shore Tavern with the nice Mexican schnitzel and the pork belly bites .
Both had good portions and was well made but the only negative aspect would be the cost of the food prices given self order , seating and food pick up.
Spent $15 for the bites and $30 for the schnitzel, will come back on Tuesday for their dinner special. Where the parm is $18

Great place for a beer and a feed. Food range is great and price is affordable. Sports bar is well presented and feels clean. The restaurant is breezy and the aircon is great on those hot hunid Townsville days! I do recommend and us a great place for large groups.

Great new location for North Shore. Meat tray raffles, nice bar, big screen tv and others, be awesome for sports and there is also a dedicated Sports Bar.

Great looking modern Tavern, drinks were good but unfortunately the food was uneatable. I got the pork belly Salad and the pork belly had no flavour and was completely grey and hard.My friend got the chicken schnitzel and it was over cooked and dry. Extremely disappointed and won’t be returning.

Great atmosphere, reasonable prices and good sized meals. The Outback schnitzel and chilli prawn were delicious! This place is the perfect addition to North Shore.

Food was good. Menu didnt have much range. Minus 1 of the steaks not being cooked properly. Kids eat free 11 and under, Where told by staff when ordering the chef can only cook 2 styles this included burger patties,, medium rare or well done. Staff where friendly and communicated well, though it lacked atmosphere, felt more like cafeteria. Ok my other issue is something that is appearing at all pub venues, since when did it become normal to charge me $40+ for a meal then make me have to collect and serve my own meal to the table? A dozen staff running around last night but they cant serve.

Easy parking, pleasant lunch atmosphere, fast friendly service, very nicely plated crispy salmon, fresh avocado salsa with squashed chats and broccolini. Yes I will return because there were more options on the menu I could eat.

Crispy skin salmon with tomato, spinach, pumpkin, feta and hommus salad. Would be up there as one of the best salads ever. Plenty to choose from on menu. Venue is amazing. Clean, tidy, very modern, friendly staff, great atmosphere, plenty of parking. Was recommended from a friend, who loved it. Glad we chose this venue to dine at on New Years Day. Will definitely be back. Great to see this in North Shore.

Could do a lot worse if you're after a pub style feed. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Food is excellent in very generous sized portions, and you can take leftovers home. Service was very helpful.
One side of the establishment is wide open to outside so flies can congregate inside where we were sitting. Also no table QR ordering.
Edited: The lack of QR code table ordering is not a complaint. Just a comment informing potential patrons. Definitely not a factor which negatively impacted the occasion.
Aa a whole definitely recommended.

It can become quite crowded.
We usually arrive a bit early to avoid the rush.

Always attend trivia nights at the sports bar and never been let down by the service or the food. Great woodfire pizzas, crispy skin salmon with vege, chicken schnittys, gnocci, steaks and much more. 😋 recently attended an origin night at the sports bar and the atmosphere and food kept flowing despite more people the service and quality of the food and drinks kept to standard. There is also a curteousy bus service to take advantage of if you want to enjoy your night safely.
