Worst Schnitty deal you’ll have. I had food poisoning from here a few months ago so I called them and let them know, and they responded saying they’d send a voucher to my email. That never happened.
I came back again and again because I live so close, and every single time I’ve come back the food is feral. The chips are white, uncooked, the schnitzel is TINY, and they lack communication.
My roommate and I ordered a Schnitty on the same number and had over 10 mins in between our meals and had to ask 3 times for it. Multiple meals came out in between. Their response is ‘extra crispy chips’. Let the photo show you what their version of extra crispy cooked chips looks like lol (just food poisoning on a plate)

We walked in and there was a long queue at the bar with only one staff working at the bar. There were schooner cups and wine glasses everywhere on the bar counter and on dirty tables. The queue was long but we had no other choice to go to another bar because it was the only bar opened on 26th December 2022 (public holidays). After waiting at the queues for 20mins, the lady served us whilst she was asking her work colleagues when she should go on break. She just took her time and was holding onto the change whilst chatting away with her work colleague 🤦🏼♀️. On top of this... She under poured my wine. I mentioned it to her but she said that it's on the line (when it clearly isn't-see photo). My first and last time going to this bar.

Very chilled pub. Went there for lunch on a Thursday afternoon and really enjoyed the laid back vibes, big screen sports and tasty food!

Vegan Schnitzel was just two curried chickpea patties? When I complained they said they'd pass it on, I wish they would have passed my $21 back to me. Ripped off and cursed food.

The parma was decent but we were left waiting for over 1 hour for them to even start cooking our food. When we followed up they obviously lost our order but they weren’t apologetic. Average customer service

Super fun atmosphere for a World Cup game. Good food but it did take AGES for it to come out. There’s a projector screen outside with picnic tables and an outside bar

Overall good pub, pumps when there’s an event on. But fmd the food is horrendous. Get a new head chef

Ordered a vegan dish/vegan option, the service was absolutely rude, was charged extra for vegan aioli, and sassed because of the removal of cheese. Then the dish came out with stock standard sour cream and egg based aioli. Could not think of a worse place to eat, no vibe, football playing loudly over the speakers. Do better, be better.

North Gong is an amazing venue that I go to all the time in big groups or small catch ups with friends! However I’ve noticed the food prices are getting more and more expensive while the food is getting worse.
I went in a big group on Friday night and got the vegan schnitzel. For $21 I was expecting a decent meal, then was charged an extra $1.80 for tomato sauce which I didn’t dispute. The “schnitzel” had barely any flavour and fell apart as soon as the fork touched it - tasted a bit like mush with a hint of Keen’s Curry powder. It came with chips and salad, and I literally only got 10 chips (pictured) and they were soaked with the weird curry mix.
I will still come to North Gong as I love the venue and atmosphere but probably won’t eat the meals anymore.
Hopefully the team takes this feedback on board and makes sure customers are getting better value for money, especially for vegetarian meals 😊

Lovely staff, lovely food. But dear god their pokie room sucks. Can't see the screens because of the glare and the chairs are basically glued to the ground too close to the machines.

It's alright, probably too early for any atmosphere to happen. Grabbed the nacho Burger which was decent but could of had some jalepenos on it for my liking. Though for $25 they could have also thrown in a beer at that price too.

I’m from SA, and when I tell you that this hotel was better than half the hotels in my hometown, I am certainly not lying. Great atmosphere for anyone between the ages of 20-35 looking to have a friend’s night out. I could tell the staff just wanted to get some sleep though, but the food was great and hearty. Definitely will be visiting again. Make sure to try their frozè.

If this is how trivia will be from now unfortunately the majority of the people will be leaving according to our surveys in the venue. The last hosts were phenomenal bring them back please and we will all return. Sad days for trivia at North Gong

Great atmosphere. Friendly, efficient staff. Drinks were seemly up there in price but the meals are total value and quality for money. Had a lovely meal.

Excellent dessert selection. I opted for ice cream with chocolate topping however the lime cheesecake also sounded great. Very happy with my choice. Wonderful service also as well. If I could give 6 stars I would

Bar staff rude. I thought we'd stepped into Karen's diner, without any effort!! The tacos were sub standard. If you're meeting for an online date it'll ruin everything.

40 minute wait for the wrong food. They wouldn't correct the mistake because of the price difference. Got a refund for the food. Went to dominos instead won't be going back there again
