Yes it’s certianlny a bit off this place. In fact it more resembles a staff canteen than a bar. I wonder if they just moved into the former Grace Brothers staff cafe and installed some poker machines to spruce the place up a bit. Given that the food pretty much tastes like it’s been there since 1979 this might actually be the case. Interestingly it’s billed as a sports bar however I’m not sure that a virtual animation version of horse and greyhound racing counts as actual sports. Although the excitement of betting on a Cartoon Network version of harness racing looks to be the only relief to the tedium of this soulless basement. Beer tastes a bit off (Broadway) too

Yeah not bad actually. Only real complaint is that the jukebox thing doesn't play music everywhere unless the tv is off but that's not major

Went for a gathering. Bar staff we're enthusiastic, nice and entertaining. Would definitely be a venue that I would look at for a good birthday party.

Very rude security. Asked us to leave cause we were playing pool and the ball went of the board twice. We didn't cause and trouble we were just enjoying ourselves. When I told him I work at hospitality as well and I know the rule very well he said come talk to the licensee the next day which I will surely do. Should not be discriminating with the race. I asked the manager on duty if they can check the cameras and see if we did something wrong and he said he can't. I even asked to call to do a breath test to see if we are drunk way over our limit, they said they can't. We are paying customers and have obliged to the rules and regulation of the premises. But the security guard ADAM thinks he is entitled to do what ever he pleases. They asked me to come see BRUCE who is the licensee which I will definitely do. Would not recommend this place at all. Very badly treated and the security ADAM needs to attend the course again as he doesn't even know the basics.

Too dark and looks as though it is falling apart. The wait staff are okay with some being abrupt and rude. Food is okay. Not a place to go for dinner in my opinion

This place was cheap and great and had great wine. THe salads and curries are cheap and not so nice. I ended up having a couple of shots the bar tender made up , it was great. The service was nice, however theres lots of low class men hanging about and I left when One followed me home and annoyed me.

The Off Broadway hotel is a tidy bar tucked nicely under the shopping centre where it keeps the locals [and shoppers alike] entertained, with all the things they probably didn't expect to find there, the 1st time they walked in.
The obligatory Laundy trademark - POKIES ... but then for the more conservative gaming fan.. pinball and arcade goodness, enough space to enjoy the footy beside friends & foe, while the bistro fills the faces of hungry men, women, children and shoppers with tasty plates packed full of mmm mm.

The “dive” aesthetic is very deceiving. The food and drinks are about what you’d expect from a pub, but the staff are exceptionally friendly and nice. The dancing classes certainly add a bit of character and flavour. It’s something a little different but it’s nice to know that it’s around.

Strict on signing in. Plenty of space and the tables are spaced out nicely. Staff are friendly. Drinks are reasonably priced. We had Thai food that's inside the pub. Food was delicious but unfortunately it was a busy night so we waited for almost an hour for our food.

Servicable bar.
Open space for a lot of patrons, tends to be quiet too.
Well managed, tidy and quiet on weeknights.
Would recommend for a tipple and a chat. haven't attended over the weekend or on a Friday, so I can't speak for it's atmosphere on those nights.

ordered a chicken snitchel (however you spell it) chicken was a bit sus and definitely over cooked, it was kind of stringy and dry but the gravy was delicious 😋 chips are your regular maccas chips but the music was a nice little touch

Lovely staff and food is decent and very cheap. Drink pricing is ok considering it's located near the city. They host trivia a few days a week which can be a bit loud and distracting if you aren't there for that but it's ok.
Tab and pokie area is average as any other place.

Lots of comfortable seats around, good to bring group of friends or family. They have super big screen for sport and stuff. Not the best pool table they have here but it does the job. Haven't try new kitchen tho, but I be heard it's good

Large but quiet hotel with about 30 pojer machines. Was very busy Thursday after 5pm at the poker machines with only a few not being played.
With no smoking allowed at the pokies, this would make it a suitable choice for non smokers. Free soft drinks offered to those playing as well.
The rest of the hotel was very quiet. It was a clean hotel, friendly enough staff, but not the place to go if you wanted to meet new people or to dance the night away

It might not be the most trendy or fancy hotel/pub but it's a big, nice and friendly place to have a nice time with your friends. The kitchen staff is super friendly and the food is good enough. The beer selection is pretty standard. But what I really enjoy is the trivia on Wednesday, the host Kevin is probably the most authentic and original host out there, he really change the mood of a trivia night with his jokes, fully recommended

Good location, lots of space. Yet the night we were in they are really short on hand therefore the kitchen is really slow. On top of that the kitchen only take cash, but they were short on change, so I have to go to bar to get some coins. Yet even under stress, they do their best and try to be as friendly/nice as they can. That was a hard day for them.

A good space for meet ups, but the music can get very loud and there is little to block the volume of other guests so hearing your friends can be hard. They have a good selection of drinks, but a poor selection of food options available in-house since the bistro closed. Thankfully the location has a lot of takeaway places nearby. I'm also pleased at how accessible most of the venue is, though not all the venue, but it's still a good sight better than most other city hotels and pubs.

A delightful pub, everything you want and need in a local! Cheap beers, footy on weekend, friendly staff and a diverse range of people. Its got a dancefloor for you party animals but also a nice seating area for a more relaxed night. The bistro serves up a mean schnitty so don't go past it, unless you think you know better.
