We came for dinner tonight and we are so happy with our experience. The was something unavailable which was replaced easily and we had an allergy request and the kitchen went above and beyond to help out and make our meal completely amazing! (Bonus points for having a nappy change station too!!)

This place is great!
Traditional Australian vibe. Really well priced drinks and the best food I’ve had in Australia.
Staff are very friendly and helpful with local events and things to see.
I would recommend the steak sandwich it was 10/10.
Tammy the bar maid was also so friendly and attentive.

The place is an oldie, you can see that have tried to spruce up the bistro. Has a little kids room and playground.
The food here was really nice, we were told 2 of our 3 orders weren't available, which was understandable. But after waiting half an hour for a jug of beer, was informed staff didn't see it on the same receipt as the other drinks and had discarded the slip.
Both myself and my partner agreed food was great and was just a shame about the rough transaction.

The last to meals where terrible.
Roast pork was cooked nice but no cracking.
Yesterday it was burger meat for our $18.00 seniors lunch...
Terrible tough as boot leather..
The salad dressing is awful, you need a balsamic one....

The bar and gaming attendants Erika and Gypsy were fantastic was an amazing environment to have a few drinks in on a Thursday they were kind and can have a great conversation will definitely be coming back here!! Great experience

My wife and I called in for lunch last Sunday at the Old Sydney Hotel, on the way back to the Sunshine Coast from Hervey Bay. There was a selection of two “roasts of the day” on the menu - beef and pork - and we tried one each. Both roast meats were nicely tender and came with a generous serving of greens and roasted vegetables! We highly recommend the roasts - they are such good value too! A very well done from us to the chef and his/her friendly and helpful team. We’ll be back for sure!!

My mother and I ordered dinner here and the food was Devine. Beautiful food and service from chef Kelly and server Kylie, will definitely be eating here again.

Lovely place. We went all out for our date night night. The place had a calm atmosphere and excellent filling food. We ordered through the QR code available which provided a more intimate evening.

Lovely bar staff, especially Tammy! Friendly locals. Food is fantastic, especially the chicken burger, beyond your typical "pub" food.
Proper Aussie pub, coming from a Brit 🙂🇬🇧 highly recommend!

I was served by a lovely Erika and she had served drinks and even remembered to serve me cutlery with my meal that was forgotten by other staff. Very considerate.

If been eating there at least twice a week for about 8 months and the food is on a level well above what I expected. The cheff has always taken extra time to present me with exactly what I ask for every time. I travelled 2 hours with my family friends to show them the quality of food that's on offer here. The service has always been spot on and the staff super friendly. I'd recommend this place highly. Thanks guys yous never let me down.

Had lunch today and it was delicious! Fresh and hot and the meal size was huge.. we had the chicken schnitzel with the prawn topper! Compliments to the chef.

Had by Birthday Dinner with Family over the weekend. Food was amazing, service was excellent. The team helped me with the cake. A great night and a lovely bistro.

Had A drink and Dinner at the Old Syd Tonight, Mel and Dane at the Bar were Very Pleasent to deal with.
Emma and the rest of the team were a delight.
Great Team with Mel helping, great food and great atmosphere will be a return patron.

Great service and feed. Dani looked after us from the walk in before dinner and made us comfortable before dinner with drinks. Food was great. Highly recommended.

Food was incredible, best pub feed I’ve had in a long time. Service was awesome. Absolutely love that they have -196 behind the bar. Will definitely be back again.

Food, a stacked burger was fine, yesterday staff were very hesitant to clean tables for us to eat our meal. When I wasn't eating, I was trying to keep the flies from also eating my food. Not a great experience 😕

First time for a feed at the old Sydney had ribs and they were cooked perfectly, tasty and nice size.... cold beer is always a plus. Will be back for sure. 🤙

First time at this venue and I absolutely loved it, the atmosphere was great, shout outs to Kat in the kitchen my steak was a perfect medium rare. Gypsy and Mel were amazing with their service and Tammy pours an awesome beer

Compliments again to Chef Kelly, for the exceptional meal she made for my family and I on the weekend just gone, as always.
If you are looking for well presented, cooked to perfection meal, served with excellent customer service, I would highly recommend you to go down and see Chef Kelly and the other amazing staff members at the Old Sydney Motel.

Caesar salad was delicious! Hubby loved the beer & our little boy was given a free jelly cup. Excellent customer service by assistant manager Mel.

Absolutely excellent service! The servers ensured we were taken care of on a very busy night. Especially with our two small children! Wonderful food but the servers made it the best night! Thanks Mel!

A 10th wedding anniversary lunch order was ruined. Wrong food was delivered, 20 minute wait time. Offered a take away option, through that in the bin after the homeless guy at IGA refused it.
